The Anafi went farther than I thought it would. I like the test done in not so perfect conditions. Nice job!! O and buy the way spent the day with family took a little road trip thanks to your last video and the wake up call. The family and I say thankyou!!
That is amazing! I am happy I can make people happy. I made some people flying and be happy with my Drone Videos and now I make people happy with my Motorhome RV Videos.
A lot depends on your location, I have achieved 6 km on the Mavic 1 pro and 7km on phantom 4 just with a coca cola can cutted and puttend on antennas...so I suggest, for the maximum range, to go on a hill and just go away. In my test I started on 400mt high, I brought the drone at 150mt so a total of 550 over the ground and 7km essily
The Parrot did just as well as the mavic, at a fraction of the price. Have to admit, both DJI has a better camera. You get what you pay for. Thanks for sharing and doing this test. I own the Parrot Bebop 1 and 2. Both are good drones. BB1 just has a short flight time. I added you to my friend list , looking forward to more of your videos.
Your broken English is nothing to be sorry about. Your editing and flying skills excel most others and you make very enjoyable videos with a variety of subject matter. Need I say more . . . . ? Great job Helder. God bless you.
I think the trees might be blocking the signal, else there is tons of interferance at that location; try flying from a hilltop straight out for better range. I am getting 6km range on my Mavic and 8km on the Mavic 2 zoom, both in CE mode.
Thanks for another great Video Hugo! I think a lot of people commenting are totally missing the point of this test. Hugo is testing distance with each Drone with Transmission power set to his Country/Region Regulations. It is written in the description of the video and also announced at the beginning of the video. Using Full Transmission Power, You would see entirely different results. Ive never seen a Region Transmission Range comparison test before so this was great Thank you Hugo! BTW - Your video's are looking so much better in a very short amount of time... Well done my friend! I hope you are doing well and in good health. Dont forget to post now and then in our Facebook group "Drone Photography And Video's Worldwide" - You are a member but cant recall any posts. Would be great to see a nice compilation you have put together for everyone to enjoy. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing with your channel and contributions to Facebook. Btw, we friended each other late last year but haven't really had the time for a chat as Running 3 large groups keeps me on my toes. Go through your Friends list and you will find my Profile Pic is a Disco laying on the sand with Yellow and Black on the leading edge of the Wings. Take care mate ;-)
Thank you very much for your comments. The range restriction here on Europe and some other Countrys are a pain in some ways. The problem sometimes it's not the short range but the quality of the transmission sucks like on the Parrot Anafi in CE mode. The Anafi becomes almost useless in CE mode.
Estoy por elegir un anafi o un mavic air es difícil para mi jeje quiero distancia y 4k es mucho pedir?? A 8 meses de usar bebop 2 y he llegado a 3400 mts me encanta mi bb2
Great video! Do you have a tutorial about how to do that one opening scene you have where you fly the drone up above you and then morph into the globe picture? That looks really great : )
well I have P3S and range depends on terrain and obsticles...sometimes I get 300m but few weeks ago I got almost 1 mile (1,5 km)...and it`s really difficult to look at 5" screen on a sunny day and get a right perspective of drone positioin. But so far I didn`t test my second drone Mavic Air for distance. BTW very good job!!
I presume newer drones including the Parrot Anafi handle better the interference than the oldy (but goody) Phantom 3 Professional. Since these new drones equipped with remote controllers using both 2.4GHz & 5.8GHz bands versus 2.4GHz only for the Phantom 3.
I was thinkin the same but remember with the Parrot Bebop 2 or Bebop 1 we can put in USA on the settings and then it will be FCC mode in any part of the Planet Earth.
Bonjour , bien vu ton test de distance , même endroit , même trajet . Je valide . Bizard , tu n'as pas essayé le bebop ? Dommage , c'était bien quand même . 😉
Ce sont les drones que j'ai pris ce jour-là. Je voulais amener tout le monde à l’épreuve, mais je n’avais ni le temps ni la force de porter autant de valises avec autant de drones.
Personally i believe that the place was not perfect cause of the electricity interferences. The Mavics could go far more than 2km in ce mode. I am very impressed of the anafi. BTW: In this video you sound like iphondo and i loved it!
Excelent video, Helder. A bit disapointed with all results. I'm not a specialist, only have a Xiaomi 4K, and i'm thinking in a upgrade and range is important for me. Xiaomi 4k in normal conditions do 1,4 kms, and i already passed 2 kms. The camera is fantastic, but drone is too big and heavy... By your vídeo, for me Anafi, maybe justifies the price, is quite small size. For my needs DJI disapoint me and the price is so high... But i really want one, who can make 3 or 4 kms, with great camera, quite small, and not expensive... Your video helps me a bit, but i think i´ll wait a bit more for «the one» if exists...
Yes. I agree. But I didn't have phisical contact with the Xiaomi 4k yet. That drone is some how legendary to me like the Yuneec q500 4k because I never flown that models.
Not easy to understand why you are standing there with big power lines over you. If you want to fly far then the terrain has a lot and say how far you can fly. Weather too. I have had all the models of DJI now I have Mavic Pro 2 Hasselblad. I have flown over 4 kilometer before I even stop flying back. I could still fly, but think it was far enough. Elsewhere, I get a break of 1 kilometer. So where you stand has everything and say. The terrain but also disturbances. Mavic Pro will be able to handle up to 5 kilometers under the best conditions in Europe.
Saam Alizadeh - He is testing with all Drones on Country Restriction mode. - These Results actually should be around the same. But, Disable your Country Region and set it to USA is a completely different ball game.
@@Helderhugo also on the drone fly zone apps I live in a blue zone about 5miles away from an airport, does this mean I cant fly a drone at all ? Or can I only do it to a certain height?
Good try in a poor terrain. I have mavic 2 zoom and have flown one side to 6.5kms. that's the max the mavic 2 zoom can go before falling down somewhere. Stand in an area without magnetic interference and in a height. U can fly m2z upto 6.5km one side.
it would be a better test without the Ultra High power transmission power towers in the way 600000 volts will block all kinds of things, even your own heart, you should not go near these even for fun.
So that may be one of the reasons for so short distances. But this is part of the test to. Testing stuff in poor conditions. Thank you for your comments.
@@Helderhugo Concordo perfeitamente e digo mais: o teste também poderia ser numa área densamente povoada como Lisboa ou mesmo Almada, atravessando zonas de prédios e fábricas (em dia útil de laboração). Mavic Air has WiFi and is by far the weakest one, and I pushed it 2.5 miles (about 4KM) on my furthest run out over the river straight shot to the bridge. But my avg range is around 1 mile. The battery and WiFi are both surprisingly weak, but WiFi is by far weakest issue, battery could probably hold its own till 3 miles out and back. Mavic Pro my furthest run was 3.38miles out and back and it was battery limited, I had 4/5 bars of signal. I already canceled RTH to push it to the beach shore line on the island. My avg is approx 3 miles. Signal probably keep going at least double range if battery wasn’t a factor. Mavic 2 Pro my furthest run is 4.33 miles and again battery limited.. 3/5 bars... my avg is approx 3.5 miles. Same as before if battery wasn’t a factor, prob easily push double its connection range. Inspire 1, well I don’t have any good data, as i just got it on used market for a steal. But my furthest run thus far is 2.5 miles and had 3/5 bars of drone signal but 5/5 remote signal. The test is wrong made, you are to low. All drones at this distance and hight are limited by wegetaions in front of you. If drone distance is 2000m and hight 100m then radio wave in strait line need to go at angle of 3deg. This means wave is 5m above the ground 100m from your position to be in straight line to drone.
I would say the stability of the vid connection and safety. If I am on a hilltop, I can spot my Mavic especially at night at 1km. At that distance I can lose signal. I think this shows how the dji products are neutered outside the USA and the famous dji connection may not be more than another brand. The distance is also indicative of the strength. If you’re in an urban environment you still can appreciate a 4km max distance by having a 1km solid reception
