out of everything i've seen with wish lists for part 3, this is actually one of the ones i 100000% support! give us the fusion sword and with it, the ability learned from it is the omnislash Limit break instead of a normal ATB ability, in fact! make it so all of the end game "ultimate weapons" do that as well having a limit break unique for all characters =D
Ok ill join in too Square if you're reading this please make joining and dismantling Cloud's First Tsurugi pieces his main gimmick in Re-Part 3 it would be great if we get pieces of it as we progress throughout the game and they unlock different moves for the weapon depending on how many pieces are in one hand plus a dual wielding stance that would be dreamlike Im pretty sure everyone who likes Advent Children's fights would be static if we were to get this for part 3
Just signed it and I'll be sure to let all my PSN friends know about it. It should be easy enough to add to the game. Just a base sword with low materia slots and a learnable weapon ability. Then each sword additionally collected would add one extra materia slot and add other unlearnable weapon abilities depending on what other pieces are collected. Each weapon ability would have a unique animation for whatever pieces that Cloud is using. It wouldn't be exactly like in AC but close enough and the cutscenes would look like the movie at least.
I want Cloud to defy destiny. Yes I want it after Cloud realizes the truth. Buster Sword with the bolts at the hilt belongs to Zack. Buster Sword with the golden hilt belongs to Angeal.
The Fusion Sword is only possible because of Advent Children. Forgetting that as canon, kills alot of the weight of what you are currently experiencing in Rebirth. ...trust me.
If you haven't watched the movie... you wouldn't get it, and I'd rather not spoil it. FFVII Advent Children is cannon, and continues the story after the ORIGINAL FFVII... this said... certain fans have been waiting to see how the story would pan out, especially after the last words of the one winged angel.

Why would you need a fusion sword when you collect 20 throughout the game anyways?

I think that's referring to the base sword, that all others attach to.
Its name is "Main Blade" (first tsurugi is also a cool name)
