Two years later (7-27-2020) the webview, map and media element controls for WPF and win forms are still in alpha and not recommended for distribution.

As impressive as the toolkit is, I still have a hard time figuring out, which part of it supports .Net framework. For example, I couldn't get the new MVVM code generators to work with .Net Framework.
As always, Microsoft pretends that everybody is working on brand new projects with no technological legacy (while their own MS Office is still written in plain old C++ 🙂 ).
Does anybody know an overview that show, which parts of the toolkit support which technology?

Agreed. In the wild, alot of machines you work on don't have Dot net 5 or newer, so you have to target Framework. If your lucky, you get to target 4.8.1. Part of the reason I see devs still targeting WinForms is simply because of how long it's been around. WPF if getting to that point now where it's matured, and MS keeps wanting people to move on to the newest GUI tech all the time.

It's really too bad that .NET is awful, just like Java.
