Kheer Bhawani…Tulmul … Kashmir

Kheer Bhawani is a temple dedicated to the Goddess of Kheer Bhawani also known as Maharshi’s Devi,Ragnya Devi,Rajni,Ragnya Bhagwati & so on. It is situated in the east of Srinagar at distance of 32 kms from Srinagar airport.

Revived my childhood memory of having visited this holy place with my parents almost 50 years ago. Kashmir actually has been a land of diversity but bound by the true spirit of kashmiriyat so beautifully brought out by Ashoka’s book ‘Kashmir As I see it’

These are various names of the same mata...go to the internet or else buy a book afresh on the subject.I as a Muslim was also taken aback.We did not coin this word,it is already there.
