Glad to see you back, really looking forward to some reviews, your content is just amazing and you're such a great story teller! You reignited my passion for retro hardware and I started building a wee collection over the last couple of months. Was very lucky and got my hands on a barely used 7950 gx2 for very cheap, and seeing it effortlessly run games from that era is great, I got into pc building and gaming around that time but never had the funds for any exotic hardware, I was still rocking a radeon 9200 at the time, so being able to touch and enjoy the single best card from mid 2006 is very exciting! Thanks once again for all the awesome content, best wishes from the Emerald Isle!

Nice haul! I still have my 512MB Gainward 7800GS Bliss (G71) AGP GPU in the box I bought new back in the day. Great card, but always a little «bugged». I always had to restart the computer after turning off the powersupply, else I got a glitched screen. Still worked when i packed it away a couple of years back.

What I find interesting about Chromatic Research, developers of the MPACT!, is that they were acquired by ATI in 1998

Glad to see you're back! Shame about the dud card, but there's only so much you can do when the hardware had issues the day it rolled off the assembly line.

Chromatic Research made some "interesting" cards back in the day
I bought 2 7900 PCI-E cards instead of a 7950 because of the reputation of them at the time.
I would love to see just gpu memory comparison in a video,short and sweet. As for the discord i would join but i dont have time. Ive been playing along with my fx5200 and your videos about it so here is a comment to help you with the algorithm.

compare the xfx 7950 gt agp vs HiS radeon 4670 both were agp behemonts hard to believe its been over a decade ago.
I also have a broken xfx agp, a 7900 or 7800 not sure
When I saw the motherboard I was... nice, slot1 (I'm a huge fan of slot 1), but... no AGP, only 2 SDRAM slots... LX chipset... kinda meh... But then....
