You should do a video on just your neighbors’ cats exploring your shop. I could imagine that their favorite spot on a cold day to relax would be in the room with your kiln is at.
The final glazed/fired Grogged Pink reminds me strongly of polished granite like you'd see in a fancy countertop. That darker green tone is absolutely gorgeous, too!
I wonder if it would be interesting to expose more of the unglazed clay. I feel like your work has lots of nice angular edges and ridges that you could play with leaving a strip of unglazed clay to experiment with detailing a bit.
Florian, your back catalogue has been my go to for planning between classes on my beginner course. I, and I assume others like me, would greatly appreciate a video on how to correct the unevenness when pulling.
I freaking love your pottery man. The simplistic modern forms with the perfectly aesthetic angles. Makes me want to get a pottery wheel! Great stuff as always 😁👍🏻
I adore how the white glaze goes that sort of dove grey with the iron flecks on the more textured body. its got a sort of granite-ish feel to it that really looks nice
You make everything seem so easy 😔😔 I’ve been throwing for about a semester it’s been a journey. Ur vids are also a big help, pottery and non-pottery wise!!
I found the results interesting. I’ve didn’t know about added extra metal to the clay or that there was course clay. I have so much to learn. They are both very beautiful.
Absolutely love the more gray one - amazing as always! I will defiantly try to grab that one in the shop update… we’ll see if my clicks are fast enough!
i think the *new white* is really beautiful, i like the usual one aswell but this version looks a bit more dich in details, as far as i can tell from your videos. in person it might be different ^^ great video as usual!
I love your work, it’s always just so satisfying and the colours in the final result are just so calming. I am curious though, how would a clear glaze interact with the iron content in the clay? Or does it not have any effect
Have you ever experimented with putting your pieces in a bisque-ware ceramic container with sugar packed around and inside them to achieve your desired reduction reactions? I’m just speculating to be honest but I believe the pyrolysis of the sugar would create a very potent reaction atmosphere much more concentrated around the piece itself and displace all oxygen.
I absolutely LOVE that you cover all of the details of wedging and throwing in every video you make - in case this is the only video someone sees of yours, it's pretty comprehensive. But - do you ever get tired of repeating yourself on the basics?
THANK YOU. You answered my question about why you're glazing the exterior first. makes total sense. Wonderful video, as always. Have you found any faulting in the clay body with the additions of iron, bronze, etc? Very curious about it.
Have you ever airbrushed your pieces? Given the uniform coverage of your pieces, would that extra work perhaps compensate for the clean-up time? If you've tried and rejected, or have elected not to try, would be curious as to why. I don't currently have the equipment, but have liked what I could do with it in past work - but interested in your thoughts before I purchase the expensive equipment.
Oh, Florian. Certainly not uninteresting! Love them all. They seem just a little 'more so,' a furthering. Please don't make microwave dishware as someone suggested. Jeez.
In my last round of binging your videos, I watched the one about making a large stepped lidded jar (m.ruclips.net/video/0WQvBG9dvrA/видео.html&t1=1591s). What’s the white pot you put into the kiln at 26:31?
Did those clays distort a bit more while drying than your usual clay? Seemed like they had a bit more wobble when trimming. Was wondering if the clay body characteristics resulted in slightly different movement/memory post pulling? (probably overthinking things :D)

Yes! Please make a video on how to handle uneveness while pulling the walls during throwing.
Yesssss, would be incredibly helpful!!
You provide so many little tips along the way that other teachers take for granted, assume we know, and don’t explain. Thank you so much

You should def make a video with that technique. All I know about Pottery comes from watching your videos and it is a trill to see your craftmanship.
I wonder if it would be interesting to expose more of the unglazed clay. I feel like your work has lots of nice angular edges and ridges that you could play with leaving a strip of unglazed clay to experiment with detailing a bit.
20:35 OK, now your work is always impressive, but firing a pair of pots that ring a perfect fifth apart is incredible! 😂
18:33 "..my neighbour's inquisitive cats.."
ALL things belong to cats.
They're just checking up on you.

omg so happy to open up youtube and see a new video!
I love the color of the grogged pink and the amount of flecking. Gorgouse pieces!
Oh yes, love this compared to your existing version. The spots really do add detail
Beautiful as always, Florian. It is amazing watching you work.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us.

I am quite enjoying all these clay, spangles and experiments of yours
Love how the darker clay body ended up! Well done!
You should be pleased with the results. Excellent
I need a mug in that grogged pink. Not want...*NEED* ❤
I'm so glad I came across your video, your craft is so fascinating and relaxing and I hope I get to do pottery one day!!!
Brilliant video Florian ... you should go to Mexico more often 😉 😂
Your vases look stunningly beautiful 🌸 Thank you for another great video!
The grogged pink was probably my favorite.
I think they are beautiful!

"A skin covered bone die" - Thanks, I'm not going to be able to look at pulling walls the same way again lol

They're GOBLETS! 🤣 You really took me down a notch, today, FG! Here I was, thinking how cool my throwing lines looked. 😭
THANK YOU. You answered my question about why you're glazing the exterior first. makes total sense. Wonderful video, as always. Have you found any faulting in the clay body with the additions of iron, bronze, etc? Very curious about it.
PS" I absolutely covet your kiln. How long have you had it? Are there any changes you'd like to see with it?

nice Oxalis

What would happen if you added precious metals like gold silver or platinum into the clay?
Does anyone know if you can wedge spangles into porcelain the same as like stoneware?
Doesn’t warm water soften the clay?
20:39 A4 D4?
Haha, I know, right!
Quiet "Florian Gadsby" brainwaves suddenly interrupted by "Ooh, a fifth!" Damn near bang on pitch as well!

FIRST!
i rly like ur videos florian
Would you ever consider using a clear glaze with the ES80 stone body? It fires to such a great colour
Yes please do make a video on how to rid a pot of unevenness when throwing, that would be fantastic,
thank you Florian.
Hi Florian.
Did those clays distort a bit more while drying than your usual clay? Seemed like they had a bit more wobble when trimming. Was wondering if the clay body characteristics resulted in slightly different movement/memory post pulling? (probably overthinking things :D)
Great pottery making, very fabulous.
I wonder what sacrifices you'd have to make in order to make wares that are microwave safe
Hi Florian, do you have any advice on how to not hurt your back when throwing ?
