I learned how to cycle back 3 months ago, bought an e bike 2 months ago, and started cycling on the road a month ago
because I wanna join foodpanda, your video was helpful, I still need to find the time to watch that 2 hours uncut video you posted a while back so I can get the gist of things
Nice :) I'm glad my videos were helpful for you!
wah… watching this short vid is giving me the feels to get back out there and do some deliveries.
it also gave me a scare, thought you were leaving the delivery scene
hehe, nah not leaving delivery anytime soon. Just a little goodbye to my bike.
Your e-bike is calling out to you. Do you still have it?
@@berniestudio yes… still with me
but really not sure the condition of the batteries
sit in my room for many months without use alr…
@berniestudio thought u are leaving the delivery scene as well 😅
Yeah. Thought the same too. Click bait... lol.
@unitedislife hehe
I did food delivery as a walker in 2020 for half a year but stopped to heal my blood blisters and didn't quite get back to it. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable period of work and freedom. Thank u for documenting your journey and sharing it for us! All the best on the road! Take care!🎉❤
Thank you! What you said is very accurate - “work and freedom”. ;)
@@berniestudio Huat ah!
@@berniestudio do u sign up for the cpf scheme?
@schoolneverteach I might. Nothing out yet
Hi. greetings from away Stockholm capital of Sweden. sort of stumbled on this video. and quite enjoyed so you have won a new subscriber.I have not pulled the trigger on a e-bike. just using my Trek fx2. sadly all bikes breaks down. flat tyres . sadly it happens. Hope to see more of your adventures. thanx and keep smiling. You got me smiling. ride safe. see you in your next video.
😅 Thought you were quitting food delivery, and I wouldn't blame you if you were. Seems like Grab Adventures has also stopped, or stopped posting videos at least 🤔
Nah, not yet :)
Ya, miss that guy too. We need diversity
Welcome back
Thanks 🤩
Bye NIVEN. We will miss you and pls behave with the new owner.
Yea. I wonder who will buy him. Hehe
Hope to see you in your new ebike Bernie ! ❤
Thanks! Coming soon!
I live in Thailand I work delivering food Grab Lineman Robinhood Shopee Food Foodpanda I really like watching your videos. Traffic in your country is very good. In Bangkok, traffic is very congested.
Hello! So nice to know a fellow rider in Thailand! Wow you work in many platforms. Is it on car, motorcycle or e-bike? Which is the best platform in Thailand for food delivery?
I use a motorcycle to work. In Thailand, most people use motorcycles and rent electric motorcycles. Here, Grab and Lineman are popular. Foodpanda is ranked 3rd. I mostly work for Grab because the food is ready, so the system calls the rider. Other platforms have to wait for the food. I applied for foodpanda as a walker and a bicycle, but I use a motorcycle when I work hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 The English may be strange because I use Google Translate.
@kwan2527 thanks for sharing! I’m always curious to know what other platforms are there in other countries. Is Lineman from the LINE messenger app or something else?
@@berniestudioLineman is from the Line messenger app, only available in Thailand
@kwan2527 interesting!
My inanimate object would be my shoes. I've had to change pairs of shoes over the course of a year for various reasons besides wear and tear. I wouldn't say I'm attached but it sure don't feel the same walking in them rain or shine, uphill or downhill, over various terrain. As a walker (food runner) the shoes make or break a delivery experience. I've learned that you can't just have one pair, so I have 2 now, and a back-up just in case.
My current pair is a hiking shoe Summits AT by Skechers.
Thanks for sharing. Love your story about your shoes. These objects become almost like our partners when we do our work, they allow us to show up with confidence. That’s why we rely on them and even develop a bond with them.
@@berniestudio That I can agree on.
ouch for work on a bicycle i would def have spare tube/s on the bike itself and some basic tools? hell i do that cycling for exercise cos no one likes to push a bike for a considerable distance haha
Sister Bernie you started me sial!!!! I thought you are leaving food rider job!!!!
Don’t worry Snowy Sis! I’m still loving it! How are you today?
@@berniestudio OK lah so so today. Sister, can I ask a question, if compare to last time you ride a manual bicycle right? Then compare now, would it be a great difference or not so great difference. Cos I recently bought one 20 inches manual bicycle standby for raining days work. Cos you know during rainy days, ebike battery might gets rain water and also raining days ride on the road is slippery might fall. So I got a mutual bicycle, but end up now said we need to ride on those cycling path next year. Sway. ....
nowy2875 downtown many hilly areas, the only area that I think can use manual bike is to stay within CBD area.
Some regular roads like Paterson Road, Killiney Rd, are steep and I cannot tahan riding on manual bike. But if you have strong leg power then should be ok 👌.
I’d say the difference is HUGE because of the stamina to ride long hours. With manual bike I max out at 3 hours. On e-bike can go for 5 hours at a time.
For the rules don’t worry. Manual bicycles just need to ride on the red coloured bicycle path, but if there isn’t then manual bicycle can still ride on regular footpath but max speed is 10km/h.
@@berniestudio Oh I see!!! Meaning those hdb area void deck I still can ride de right? Only thing is cannot ride more than 10km per hour right? But then still the rules is stupid... Can't imagine even BICYCLE they also can control us hahaha
oh mine. I thought u quitting FD cos the fare is unsustainable recently. glad you are not :)
Lol nope not yet. Thanks for watching my videos and stay tuned for new adventures.
Hi Bernie,im a grab cyclist and wants to try jurong east zone, can you give me some advice.thanks😊😊
Hello! I’m familiar with the area however I only use foodpanda and Deliveroo so far. For Jurong East the hot zones are Jem, Westgate, IMM, and Westmall at Bukit Batok. Sometimes you get sent to the outskirts like Hillview, Jurong West or Teban Gardens.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have specific questions about the areas .
@@berniestudio thanks for the tips..🙏
Time fo motorbike
🤔
In this age and era, everything is impermanence. The only permanence is impermanence. 😅
Wise words :)
what is your total mileage?
I didn’t track. Also, I changed my display a few months back, so it got reset. If I were to make a guess it could be about 5000km.
@@berniestudio5000k in 3 years? i bought my snapcycle roadmaster 3 months ago and the mileage is over 3000km and the motor died, after repair still dont well the same
@@raigan27 Some months I cycle a lot, but some months I don't.
