Anything can be fixed. Save that van long as you have goog mechanics, mean good engine and transmission. Good bit of surface rust you can use rust reformer and she will be good as new. I say if the van was cheap enough. DIY the crap out of it
they do galvanized panels now i have a mk5 minibus 2.0 petrol and had it 6 yrs now ive welded all new galvanized panels on and ther not that exspensive
Looks like the banana engine they can be rebuilt it was the better engine there not the fastest but reliable and if maintained properly start every day
It doesn’t look in bad shape at all , I’d save it , maybe as someone who mentioned earlier , take it for mot or get someone who is an mot tether to take a look , but in the whole I’d say it looks decent for a transit 😊
I have a mk5 Transit That I have restored, Have a look at the back underneath You will see 2 long springs have a look at the ends where it’s mounted to the chassis If it sold there That’s a good start Also I would take the front Matt out as it holds water And will rust the floor out If you want more help I’m happy to video chat with you And we can go through the van ok
can be saved rust looks light for a transit ,the door steps normally rot to paper ,that looks solid not much welding needed ,just clean rust areas ,can use fibre glass on arches and around frame ,just weld were structure holds parts ,new rubber easy
Not bad shape at all for a smiley. Bullet proof engine.
Anything can be saved with time, skill and money. If it means something to you, go for it
I think I have a build on my hands 😁😁
Thats the trouble with ford transit rust rust and more rust. Wouldn't worry to much about rust on the outside body work its underneath

tbh I'd get it moted and see what they find and do that first it might need further welding but get it checked first
Mig welder with gas bottle is good
