    At 15.32, the sales guy says the sound in Sport mode is “from the exhaust”. It’s actually fake sound piped through the speakers. However, it does accelerate faster in Sport mode compared to other modes.

    We've had our 2024 Sport Touring for a few months now in Canyon River Blue. We love it. Realistically, mileage depends on how you drive and your environment like lots of hills. Getting about 33-35 miles per gallon in mixed driving in Econ mode. I like to put it in Sport Mode sometimes for fun. It's everything I could have hoped for.

    • @vindee5670
      @vindee5670 6 месяцев назад +4

      So true about the mileage. I see too many complaints about pour gas mileage. It all depends on how your drive - how heavy your right foot is, the weather - rain, wind, snow, and temperature - use of AC, Heater, Defogger. Hills also play a part. I have an Insight hybrid rated at about 46mpg. In spring and summer, I can get 50 to 55 mpg. In fall and winter I can get about 44 to 48 mpg. This is in the Pacific Northwest.

    • @trollbot3728
      @trollbot3728 6 месяцев назад +1

      @vindee5670 same, PNW just south of Seattle. When I head up highway 18 to I-5, that hill ruins my mileage. However, if I nurse it in Economy Mode, I've seen 39 MPG regularly. I still only fill up once a week, though, which is way better than our old 2019 HR-V. Same size gas tank even.

    • @vindee5670
      @vindee5670 6 месяцев назад +1

      39 MPG is pretty darn good considering the size of the CR-V. I'm hoping the pick up a 2024 Sport later this year. Hopefully the market will be more favorable to the consumer by then and I can strike a deal. All my previous purchases have been based on "invoice value". Now I can't even find any mention of invoice value, though I haven't looked hard enough yet.

      @vindee5670 we used our Costco membership. Gets you MSRP with no Delivery Fee basically. We bought service contract and extended warranty to. With tax and licensing $54K out the door. So about $12K over MSRP. You really have to be gentle with the accelerator to get that 39 and turn the heat down to like 74.

    Great video, I was under the misconception there was no overhead parking assist on this. Actually I really like how the backup works with the warning indicator lights. I also like the way the pedestrian warning works. With Toyota vehicals you hear the beep and you see the light turn on but you don’t know exactly where it is specifically it’s coming from. The C-RV shows very clearly where the person is at causing the light to appear. That is in the front or the back bravo! Not understanding how the 12 volt power works, what would plug into that, is that a cigarette lighter connect, confused at that. I’ve read some reviews where the reviewer said they had trouble getting there wireless charging to charge with 14 max iPhone saying it was intermittent sometimes worked sometimes didn’t. Can you comment on how efficient the wireless charging is at connecting to the phone? also, I didn’t see anything about spatial controls for the audio system. Is it possible to control the spacing of the audio sound moving it more to the back or the front or side depending on what you want to do. I also do not see anything about equalization control. I’m sure that it’s in there. Perhaps you could have a video focusing on how the Soundsystem works in the future for this vehicle. Also, I would like a video on comparing this vehicle to the RAV4. Although in my experience, I believe that this SUV wins, hands-down so far and what I have seen.

      As a happy owner, I can answer a couple of your questions - yes there is a very flexible equalizer for audio. I have an IPhone 15 Max with a
      clear Speck case and it always charges ok on the charging pad without slipping around.

    Overall good review but to be more accurate there is no spare tire in the hybrid due to the position of the battery. If it was to save weight all versions of the CRV for 2024 would have a tire inflation kit instead of a spare tire. Other reviewers have stated this in their reviews. One other thing the sound the car makes when backing up is absolutely annoying. Unfortunately, this is the case for every hybrid vehicle.

    The reverse noise is super loud in the hybrid since Honda cheaped out and chose to meet the safety standard with a single speaker at the front of the vehicle instead of placing a separate speaker at the rear of the vehicle. To meet the decibel requirements at the rear, the speaker at the front has to SCREAM when in reverse. Thereby annoying everyone in the house, and for several houses surrounding your house, when you back out of the garage.

      @@gosman949 Most of the time you don't really need a spare tire if driving around town and most flats can be fixed with a tire kit, though I'd have the type that has a plug too. If you drive in a more remote area or a longer road trip, it will fit nicely in the back and there is still plenty of room for suitcases, etc. Worst case scenario if you really, really need the space, a thule on top will do. If we take a road trip, we were thinking we could put a light weight partial board on top to make a flatter surface. I saw a picture where someone had made or bough a platform and the tire was underneath and everything else sat on top of the platform. Yeah, it would be nice to have dedicated place, but it isn't a deal breaker (at least not for us).
