    I installed ALG recoil and trigger springs. cheap but pretty effective upgrade. highly recommended for any AK platforms. Also, you can't forget Hogue grip.
    With 3x optic, I consistently had 4 MOA at 100 yds.
    You definitely need gloves if you keep shooting without break.

    I have one of these since 2020/2021? Have about 3-3.5K rounds through it. No issues. Typically 2 MOA as most AK’s can be. Love it! Reached out to 500 yards consistent with a Holosun 403B mounted on my Texas weapons railed dustcover and I have their front rail as well. Magpul stock and K2 grip and KNS piston and ALG trigger. One of my favorites. Used everything from Tula, to Wolf, to Barnaul, to PMC, to Norma and she’s exceptional. Even got it on a sale from Atlantic Firearms at the time for just under $1,100😂KUSA is a great buy

      @@pewpewtactical worth it. You lose the leaf sight but if you plan on running a dot or LPVO consistently then the peep sight it’s fine. I run a 25 yard battle zero on the irons so I know my drops and holds out to 300 anyways

    • @huRlrnd3lders
      @huRlrnd3lders 10 месяцев назад

      @pewpewtactical I have the dust cover. So far, so good. There's a tab on the side to bend if it wobbles after you install it. I installed an ALG spring simultaneously with the dust cover. It didn't wobble without bending the tab. Follow the instructions, and it should work. I think it's an upgrade.
      I don't care for how they make the rear peep sight. It's fixed, and "crushes" to fasten onto the rail. It's not multiple pieces other than the screw. Also, it wasn't deburred great.

    • @rjperez2617
      @rjperez2617 10 месяцев назад

      @@huRlrnd3lders the rear peep I bought was fine. Wonder if it is a QC issue but if you’re installing a railed dust cover why run irons? Isn’t the point to mount a dot or another type of optical system? Just my 2 cents

    • @huRlrnd3lders
      @huRlrnd3lders 10 месяцев назад

      @@rjperez2617I don't trust battery powered optics, and don't care what brand. Cars rattle apart on the roads I'm on, and i can have my rifle with me everyday (not a range toy, literally a truck gun). It's just in case it goes down, plus it has a longer sight radius. I combined it with a KNS front post. It looks kinda cool down the sights, kinda HKish.
      The design works, but is lazy by not making it a standard two piece clamp. The burrs are on the clamping surfaces and actually helps it bite into the rail anyway, lol.
      Being a machinist, I would have designed it right the first time. Although, the extra processes (hardly) would cost more. Maybe $10 msrp.

    “I typically think of AKs as lower quality in general…” Hey nice vid guys. I think quite a few ppl have this misconception based off of surplus kit builds being the market share of what’s here in the states. These new American made AKs like this example are not hitting the mark at a $1500 price. I’d really like to see you try a Krebs Custom AK, one of their AC15, AC18, or KV13 models. They also have the M23 coming up in a few months. Contact Marc Krebs and make it happen and change your own mind 👍

    00:45 There's a little bit more sketchiness about KUSA than just being some importer that set up a gunsmith shop, like a Russian oligarch literally being a major stakeholder, some questionable money transfers, etc. It's definitely interesting that they were able to get original drawings from Kalashnikov Concern 100 series.

So far it's got 290 rounds through it in one range day shooting Norma brass case, wolf hollow point, and fmj , tula fmj and soft point ammo, arms core fmj and some other random 762 from loose ammo at stores. @@AKcausinMAYDAY …that’s awesome. I don’t disagree with you, it’s just hard to swallow that price tag when you can buy a Zastava zpap M70 for $900 and it’s built like a tank and has a chrome lined barrel. The KUSA guns look like good quality, I just think they are a little overpriced is all. I’m glad they are made here and available though cause who knows how long the imports will be able to come in to the country.

      @@ross_7751”built like a tank” I hear allot of people say that about Zastava AKs, yeah they have thicker receivers but what does that tangibly equate to an improvement in longevity? How many more thousands of rounds will an m70 last over an AK that isn’t “built like a tank?”Do you hear of WASRs, PSAs, KUSAs or arsenals cracking at the receiver? It’s like people think 1.0 mm receivers are flimsy. Also, hate to be that guy but if a one or two hundred dollar difference is enough to be the difference in someone buying one gun over another, I highly doubt they have the money to put enough rounds on either of them to notice a difference in lifespan. Don’t mean to shit on m70s, I’m sure they work great. I have a kr103 with 11,000 and change rounds on it and I have no clue why you’d commit to spending just shy of a thousand bucks for one of those, when you could spend just 200 more bucks and get something lighter, has a great muzzle break from the factory, and uses more ubiquitous parts.

    I'd say an important thing to consider with the ergos and stuff with this is that its not supposed to be an amazing modern rifle with all the frills, its meant to be accurate to the Russian AK-103, and in regards to that it succeeds greatly
