To be honest, if anything i thought YJS and Somin may have a shot at the best couple award for the past few years. their chemistry is natural, it's not romance (for a change), they actually hilarious together, and you can see it at every show they did together. Kwagmin did win it in the past too.

@Uyta Khli but if i remember correctly, YJS won it with Lee Hyori in the past. It's different from his chemistry with somin, but they also had great tikitaka and yjs stress levels high cause of her 😂

As for the "couple award" it doesn't mean necessarily a romantic partnership, for that we all know they are just working. actually, even lovelines are just a kind of acting in front of cameras, cause no loveline so far turned out more than that.
Couple award may include all different type of dynamics and synergies: bromance, siblings, rivals... It just needs to be natural and not forced. LKS and Somin won it and no one even suspected they actually are more than friends when they were singles at the time.
For me and i'm sure the award itself couple award means "chemistry award between 2 people" the moment they are on screen it just entertaining to watch, and that's what the entertainment shows are all about. Nothing serious just fun.

True. She’s not won any award in 4 years which is strange because she has done a lot and a lot of trending moments on the show. She’s the third female entertainer with the most screentime ( the other two are on more than one show), yet she hasn’t received any form of recognition for it.
And it’s not just Somin, I’ve noticed SBS does this to RM members a lot. I don’t think they gave LKS any reasonable award after the Top excellence he won in 2016. etc

it's unfair regardless, cause LKS and Somin main job is acting. i do follow an actress, their schedules, when they filming a drama, is hectic and they barely sleep, and tend to film all night and stuff.
so unless, it's a periodic type of variety show, like Six sense or Busted... i don't see them adding another fix schedule to their week. like how changing the filming period of this episode messed with Sechan already existing one. YJS kept telling Somin and before her LKS to pay the comedian community fees. that's reward in itself, and meaning to be more recognized you need to switch over.

I like woo jae as a guest but I don't see him as a permanent member. So far, he has only been a punchbag. He's not good at adlibs either, just received every jokes and mocks that were thrown at him haha. I'm worried he'd ended up receiving a lot of backlash for not being able to live up to the variety character. Being a punching bag alone is not enough to shine. I love him but honestly, halfway through this episode, I forgot that he was there lol.

I think start from Bopil PD take charge of running man they both start to do new gimmick by Jong Kook been a servant for Jae Suk and from that the gimmick grow when Hyung In take charge as PD which as you said 4 months ago they start supporting each other especially after Jae Suk been a guest in Gym Jong Kook. They both are consider as veteran in variety shows for a reason because they can find and change gimmicks without hesitant if they think the fans will like and give more ratings.
