🍌WHY THE ALPHABET?
Learning the letters of the alphabet is a very fundamental factor for literacy (the ability to read and write).
🥑 WHAT DOES THE CURRICULUM FOR THE SWEDISH PRESCHOOL SAY?
In the curriculum it says that language, learning and identity development is closely associated with one another. This is why it is important for preschools to stimulate children's language development by encouraging them and nurturing their curiosity to communicate in various forms. Children are to be offered a stimulating environment that encourages them to develop their language abilities by listening and talking about books and stories.
💗WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?
English, pronounciation, letters and phonetics (sounding and pronounciation). We also work on stimulating the children’s language developement through nursery rhymes and singing.
