    I just went through a handful of Dennis Schroeder videos. This was by far the best one. Great content. The Dubs haven’t been the same since Melton went down. Podz has been struggling to fill that role. Dennis brings a ton of those same intangibles as a polished vet. He’s averaging 18/6 with the best shooting splits of his career. Him and Dray are going to annoy tf out of the other team. No disrespect, but I never thought I’d be this excited about adding Dennis Schroeder. Lol. I live in Jersey now so from Brooklyns perspective, Dennis’s career year was helping them win too many games. They’re rebuilding and will never admit it, but they’re tanking. I’m sure they aren’t done dealing their vets for draft capital. Two second round picks for Dennis isn’t bad at all. He’s also on an expiring deal so at the end of the year he was probably going to leave anyways. They probably would’ve got nothing for Dennis. It works out both ways.

      Tbf this is kind of a risk-free move, that can help now without risking the future. I like the move and in the context of what comes next you could be right. It still remains to be seen if he does something where he actually needs to choose between the present and the future.

    Nets are supposed to be tanking, they've won too many games. So they are just taking whatever picks they can get while trimming the team down.
    Nets want a bottom 4 or 5 type spot.

    • @tiredbasketballfan
      @tiredbasketballfan 10 дней назад

      Nothing wrong with taking a deal they like instead of dragging it out. They're looking for expiring contracts and draft capital. Not only did they get that, but they also don't need to play Melton which makes tanking easier. At the end of the day, there's also value in building good relationships around the league. Maybe in a few years when the Warriors are rebuilding and the Nets are up and coming, they could do something similar the other way around.
      The only thing I'll say is, there is a balance between good relationships and being known for selling low. Hopefully for them they can find the right balance.

    I apologize if I was abstruse. My point is Dennis Schroder is a great pick up for the Warriors a great pick up. I’ll never forget that season in Oklahoma City with Chris. Paul was amazing. What those guys did those three guys did for that team taking them to the playoffs with the same exact record as the Rockets, who had Russell Westbrook, Paul, George And James Harden. I fell in love with Dennis that season when he was playing alongside of Chris in SGA. You know SG was like a rookie that year basically he didn’t play his first year really but anyway Dennis Schroder was instrumental on that OKC team so I love him great pick up for you guys.

    What value did you attribute to Schroder? The Nets are gathering draft picks for a rebuild, making this season irrelevant. They allowed Dennis to join a contender in exchange for picks, which benefits both parties. This is only an issue if you have concerns about the Warriors' success.

    • @tiredbasketballfan
      @tiredbasketballfan 10 дней назад

      I agree with you, but can't say I don't get it. It's tough to see rival teams get better in an already stacked conference. It's not as common today to see mutually beneficial trades, everyone is looking for the team that got 'fleeced' and ignoring the context of what each team is actually trying to achieve here.

    Yeah, it's 💯 the Nets are tanking for the best odds to get the highest pick possible. Warriors definitely got better with this move. I heard GS now is interested in trading for C Nikola Vucevic... that would be crazy. Especially with the season he's having

  • @kermicgreen3370
    @kermicgreen3370 10 дней назад

    The Duds didn't fleece the Nets, the Nets are TRYING to lose. Schroder is helping them win too many games lol. They are tanking (like all most teams) for Flagg. As a Dubs fan, I am interesting to see how Dennis can acclimate with my squad. Dennis likes to control the ball, which he won't be able to do, per se, with GS. Now he can score with the best of them, so he will immediately add that to the Dubs, which have struggled to score since Melton was injured. It will be an interesting 20 games or so. Let's the games begin....

    Ok. Life long Dubs fan, so I'm excited. But we got to calm down. This wasn't a fleece. Brooklyn wants to be bad. Their goal is to tank. So this trade just makes sense for both sides. Brooklyn did this on purpose. Expect similar trades for finney-smith and cam Johnson.

    I love Dennis, but he’s now Chris Paul come on now. If Chris Paul wants to score he can score look at both of their playoff numbers. That’s when Chris Paul stepped it up and Dan don’t forget you gotta remember Chris Paul his first 10 years was a huge score. He’s the only player in NBA history to have over 20,000 points and 12,000 assist only player in history and he’s gone for 23,000 this year. How many points does Dennis Schroder have?

    • @tiredbasketballfan

      What's your point exactly? That he won't be good for the Warriors the same way CP wasn't good enough last year?Maybe he's similar to CP in some ways but he's not 38... The Warriors lack playmaking, shotmaking, and 2-way talent, and they just got some without losing many assets.
