In terms of graphic HoI 4 was really good... but in terms of gameplay... it was HUGE step BACKWARD in compare to earliest instalments... Along of many negatives I found with it, for me one of most ridiculous was global clock speed which was set WAAY TOO FAST even on slowest setting. Example: Played as Poland vs Germany - set up *NIGHT* bombing raid from Krakow to Poznan (so pretty short distance for plane to fly during night) and guess what - mission started at 22:00 pm and when bombers reached target it was ALREADY 08:00 am - which was making not only night missions utterly pointless but the whole Day/Night cycle a complete waste of engine memory (that's why I turned it off rather quick). But as many once pointed... HoI 4 suffered the same sickness which is plaguing many modern RTS games... and it's name is *STREAMLINING* and it's a rather bas prediction for future instalments of this series.
