    You're very talented when it comes to detail and craftsmanship of your restorations. An icon bronco would really be the only 300,000$ car I would be confident driving. I would love to see a '72 or even a '86 k5 with your craftsmanship and attention to detail integrated in its restomod.

    What does the title say? Still an FJZJ80, or FJ62?

    How much do you ask for it

  • @mrwhiteinca
    @mrwhiteinca 9 лет назад

    Yes, actually I do. Now first of all if you do the math then you would quickly find out that I'm talking about his shop per hour cost not what he's charging you or me, obviously. I know some of the guys in his shop probably make 50-75 he's probably even got some guys making a hundred but a lot of the people who work in TLC make less than that. I have been to TLC, I have owned a 77 fj40 and completely restored it and I also own a business here in Los Angeles not far from, TLC. So I also have a pretty good idea of what labor around here costs. I know people I know most people make these comments and have no idea what they're talking about but I'm not one of those people. I'm not trying to troll on TLC, I love the work, and I know its perfection and it is hard to put a real price on perfection but I'm just saying, in this particular instance, it's used. So I'm sorry I understand its a 62 hybrid and it's an s3, and brand new I would say yes ok 125k but I've been in their shop for years and years and years and I've seen what TLC's in their cost and 125 for a used I don't care what it is is out of line that's all I'm saying I'm not saying anything else.

      You didn't talk about the guarantee after sale.
      E.g. if the gear failed or electric issue failed what is the guarantee that can be replaced or repaired.
      Thank's a lot Sir

    I do like your videos. Love what you create, but....still....only TLC could sell a used (not a new S3, a used S3) 1980s 62 TLC, for $125k. lol. I mean seriously guys, come on. We're not talking a rare 60, 45, 40, we're talking a sixty two. You must cringe when people ask "What do you want for it?" I would. Not saying it's a rip off, i know how much work goes into it but if you put 1000 hrs at $50/hr, the rig (stock= $13k), the drivetrain and parts (another $25000), that is only $88k, AND, it's USED!!! OK, you sacrificed two rigs to put this together, it is a hybrid, i get that, so maybe i am off by 10k here but the right price for this rig, used, is $90-95k max. It's U-S-E-D. What, do you expect me to believe this was a $165k rig new? gtfooh

      You have any idea what a good shop charges for labor? Especially custom restoration work? $50 an hour shop labor would be an absolute bargain! I do agree a $125k FJ62 seems ludicrous, that's why people build their own custom cruisers. Still not cheap but can be done over a long period.

      @mrwhiteinca 9 лет назад

      AkMedMan1 yes actually I do. Not only have I been going to the TLC shop in the valley for probably 20 years, I have owned and restored my own TLC's. When I said $50 an hour I was referring to his cost, and if you did the math but I presented you would have quickly seen that.

      +kilrassclown It might have been the previous owner's asking price.
