Its about keeping them separate, new cat in bathroom or another room with all its needs. Swapping sleeping blankets each night so they get used to each others smell, playing through small jar in door, using play toys for both of them under or through jar of door. It's takes 3 days to a week. It has worked for 98% of new cats. When they are forced to be in each others company it can just make things work. Slow, gentle and gradual is the key. Peaking an interest in each other with a curiosity is what you want to achieve.
