@@Celtics2025nah they were just missing all over. Missed 3s, missed layups, missed freethrows. Plus we had way too many turnovers and not enough rebounds. It was just a bad night overall but chucking up 3’s is the only reason we mounted a comeback at all. Ppl who dont like the celtics current play style just dont understand team basketball. I personally love it. Idk when 3’s became boring to ppl but im here for it. We dont have anything to worry about just gotta hone in on the mistakes. It’ll be a good learning opportunity

Sadly he was one of the only ppl getting rebounds tho. They killed us on the glass last night. Rebounds were pretty weak overall with the exception of neemy. He is great tho i think him and walsh skillsets will match up really well if they both continue developing. That presence under the hoop makes a big difference for our play style and walsh s preseason showed some 3 pt potential too. Bro is only 20 yo and was shooting some really clean 3’s right off the pass in preseason and he plays almost like a big under the hoop even tho he’s not even that big. I woulda been interested to see how he woulda done if he got more minutes last night but i also get why they didnt use him much. He played well at crunch time against the bucks tho

Joe now knows, when we're getting killed in the paint, in a physical game, getting outrebounded, can't finish anything at the rim due to physicality, he has a guy he can go to who can neutralize all that contact, bring the energy, get rebounds, get put backs, create havoc against the other team in the paint. Neemias clearly disrupted Indy's offense and helped open ours up.

Points in the paint (again) Indy had almost 70. I get it, KP is missing but that’s a ton of layups/dunks and Siakam & Mathurin were both outstanding. Poor execution was what really hurt us. Gave up I believe 20+ pts on turnovers and missed some crucial fts. All in all, we played pretty bad most of the night and still almost got it done. But this is one we should’ve had. 🤷🏻‍♂️Oh well. Looked like that the ideas from the pod with Tony East came to fruition. Seemed like this game jump started some of that chaotic offense, Tony saying Queta would be a problem with rebounding.
All and all not worried about this loss as some FT'S were left at the line, shot selection seemed forced as JT + JB seemed to be hunting 3's not playing for best shot (granted JT hit his to force OT but JB airball was atrocious). Not worried, JB had a cold night from behind the arc and in the post, no KP, also the different rotation combos Joe has been trying(because it’s the time to do it) can lead to flow/groove issues…Halloween hasn’t even passed yet ie it’s beyond early in the season, for a champion team to ferociously come back to force OT is not something you see tenacity wise most champion team in the past would just shrug their shoulders and have mindset of its early in the season and you win some you lose some, the Celtics were the opposite and made it feel like a playoff game.

I don’t know what to tell people here thinking this is a problem. It’s always the same va the Pacers: they play a free flowing offense that doesn’t let the Celtics just lock someone down to stop it and they foul a ton. Fouling a ton makes it difficult for the Celtics to play their offense, even if they’re getting points from it. And when a team fouls a ton, that means they’re getting away with a ton. The refs simply aren’t going to call nine fouls a quarter on a team.
The Pacers shot well and the Celtics didn’t. They won because a guy who isn’t known as a three point shooter made a longer contested three. Shit happens.

We have gotten away from what won us a championship last year. I know it’s one loss but we’ve been playing poorly. Since the fourth quarter of the Knicks game like you said. We’ve just been hitting shots against weaker opponents. What happened to sharing the love? Why are the jays taking 30 three pointers themselves? It’s turning into the Jayson Tatum Jaylen Brown show and this is what scared me when everyone was talking about a revenge tour. 18 three-pointers from Tatum and he only hit five. 11 for Jaylen who only hit one with those numbers you clearly never got hot, why are you taking so many threes you know who was hot? Derek White you know who took more threes last year Derek White? They played poorly versus the wizards, they won, but it was not Celtics basketball, same with the Pistons and in the Bucks game they just played OK. But those are bad teams admittedly I shut the game off at one point and didn’t see the end, but I was, grossed out by that performance
