Being American and now living in a blood red state I legally own quite a few firearms. I’ve also visited Europe a lot and I often forget how lucky we are here in most of the US. Crime where I am is almost non-existent because we are all armed and no one would dare mess with their fellow man. It also means everyone is exceedingly friendly and welcoming. I don’t think the high level of gun ownership and constitutional carry we have in my state makes these factors of low crime and friendliness a coincidence. It’s a by product of a civil and well armed populace.
The standard form of the FGC-9 has a stock, making it an SBR, and thus regulated by the NFA. NFA items have to be serialized and registered under federal law. During the 2006 part of the Iraq war (I was in the army), which was arguably about the worst phase, the US Army and Iraqi “governments” policy was that arms were forbidden. We arrested aloooooot of people who had an AK stashed under their floorboards. It never sat right with me, I understood we were in a position to trust no one. But I did know that when we turned a blind eye to the old man with an AK in his closet, who was too old and pissed to give a damn what anyone told him to do- we got shot at a lot less in those neighborhoods. Which eventually lead us to change policy to “nothing bigger than an AK, and one a piece gents.” I hated telling people they couldn’t have the rights we have back in the states. I’m glad that changed when it did, probably saved a lot of lives.

The right to self-defense and the tools to facilitate it are basic human rights. The fact that governments all over the world have convinced citizens to disarm themselves "for their own safety" has made me lose faith in my fellow man.
For one to care a great deal about self-defence, one must have an attachment to the concept of a self. That concept is nothing but an illusion, so I choose to do no harm and to not own things that would do harm. I would be surprised if that ever backfires, but if it does, so be it

Clearly having something in your constitution is irrelevant to whether that right exists.
The freedom to keep and own weapons of all types stems from the one right all humans have: The ownership of your own body, and the resultant ability to do whatever you want with your body except hurt others.
Unless someone has committed a crime, (harmed or coerced or stolen from another individual without being attacked first, all other "crimes" are tyrannical and false), they can do whatever they want to with their body, including speaking in any way they choose, or owning or using any object they want to, including guns, and using them in any way they want to, without restriction (again, so long as they do not use those to harm or steal from innocents).

How homogeneous is your area?
Actually Dank, you're mistaken. In the US, it's perfectly legal to manufacture a firearm for yourself without serializing it, you just can't sell it.
The standard form of the FGC-9 has a stock, making it an SBR, and thus regulated by the NFA. NFA items have to be serialized and registered under federal law. You could make your own without a stock or with a brace adapter, but the regular FGC-9 is illegal without either an ATF form 1 or an SOT notice of manufacture

Which eventually lead us to change policy to “nothing bigger than an AK, and one a piece gents.”
I hated telling people they couldn’t have the rights we have back in the states. I’m glad that changed when it did, probably saved a lot of lives.
