They were babies made to act on a show because it was literally all they knew. There are still no rights for these kids it’s terrible and they suffer for it
@@Lillpixeychic Children are not allowed to be on set for more than four hours a day these days. I wasn’t even born when they were acting so I can’t speak for that time period but I know the industry now and there are definitely better regulations these days. Also parents have the option of staying on set with their child while they work in the hopes of preventing behind the scenes grooming/molestation of child actors. It’s when actors are in their later teens that things get tricky as they can take a test and upon passing they are officially allowed to work as/be considered an adult in the industry. (ie: they can work full hour days, do their own stunts if they choose, etc.) Once you’re 18 though… whole different ballgame.
This is what worries me about the kids being recorded by their parents now. They can’t even eat breakfast without a camera being shoved in their face 🤦🏽♀️Those twins went through a lot of forced trauma and had no time to be a kid. Sad.
They clearly said that they felt like performing monkeys and wouldn’t have wished this childhood on their worst enemy. Full house wasn’t a happy memory.
The reason they didn't go back was because of the stress they endured from being on the original show as children. They didn't consent to being child stars. They were just babies. So Full House was a pretty touchy subject for them. I think it just brought up a lot of possibly traumatic memories. Of course I don't think anyone on set hurt them but they were constantly pulled from their mom to do scenes and they didn't always want to.
I wouldn't want any of my old jobs back, but that doesn't mean I dislike/reject all of my former coworkers. Why would people be surprised that they still had respect and affection for Bob Saget? They just didn't want to act anymore.
People are surprised that the Olsen Twins showed up for Bob Saget's funeral because there's a rumor that he made perverted child molester jokes toward Candace, Jodie, and the twins on the set of Full House back in the day.
They said in an interview that acting wasn't their dream. Make up and fashion is. Let's just say they made a good choice. Following your passion and dream is always a good choice. They did their part by showing up for the funeral.
They made so many movies and TV shows. I grew up watching them. Those girls retired from acting to do more with themselves. They did everything their parents wanted in TV and film. The twins worked so hard since they were babies. Babies people. They didn't have a say in their lives till they stopped acting.
Actually they all defended them and said they understood why they didn’t come back, told them they were welcome anytime and wished them well. Some people just like starting drama is all
The Mary-Kate and Ashley own their own designer brand and are Billionaires. Asking them to return to that show is like asking Louis Vuitton to repeat high school just for the fun of it.
Yet, Louise would have class enough to do a fundraiser or something nice for his school class to make up for it! The Twins shut the door and didn't care if they hurt their fans feelings! It's called being a role model which their entire brand rotated around! They have all that money and can't come out their protected shells to recognize others. Although going to the funeral was a nice gesture, they could have stayed home because they didn't pay Bob respect while he was alive by supporting his stand-up or making any appearances in projects he or his costars did. Going to the funeral was done so they didn't look rude or heartless to their fans-hence why people wondered why they came when they acted like they didn't care for years! Not only that, they grew up and had their own issues which they spoke about. However, when Jodi who's only five-six years older was going through her issues, they could have helped her, but this didn't come about. So much for being close! They may be very nice people, but that's NOT what the public sees! The public sees two twins wo act like spoilt teenagers while rumers like smoking €100 at a wedding abound!
@@isabellaearnhardt6380 So were Jodie Foster and Brook Shields, but these actors have enough RESPECT for their fans not to take them for granted and act like the only thing their fans can do for them is purchase their products. So let's agree to disagree! I TOTALLY respect the twin's decision, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with what they did.
These girls went through A LOT during their childhood and young adulthood for their cast members to say they are "disappointed" that they didn't return to a show they did as kids.
The Olsen twins were just a few months old when their parents first put them into acting. They never really had a choice on whether or not they wanted to act. Also, it’s pretty much impossible to tell whether or not someone will even have a talent for acting when they’re a literal infant. So when they finally started getting a little older, it was kind of obvious they didn’t have the natural acting talent that most child actors had. I think they saw it in themselves as well and grew to dislike it. That doesn’t mean they were bad people for not wanting to be on a spin-off. Fans were also weirdly creepy about them as they grew up and there was even an online countdown for the day the twins would turn 18. They basically never got to grow up in a “normal” environment. If I was them, I’m not sure I would want to return either.

Hence, they did not return to do "Fuller House". What does that have to do with attending Bob Saget's funeral?
The fact that the older cast members take their absence as them being “stuck up” goes to show that they were really only thinking of themselves. The twins have great reasons for not returning

I feel like people don’t understand that the Olsen Twins are not obligated to return for a spin-off just because you like the show. They’re real human beings with real feelings. They quit acting long ago and stuck by their decision and I respect the hell out of them for that 💜
The twins were child stars that once they grew older decided they didn't want to do it anymore. I don't blame them. Going to a funeral is not the same as going on set and going an acting gig. They still wanted to pay their respects, and you have to respect them for that.
They chose not to return bc it made them uncomfortable in front of camera and personal reasons. The show writers continually urging them to I felt was disrespectful to their wishes. Not wanting to be in front of a camera again is not the same as mourning someone you knew who passed. Additionally, Elizabeth is already a highly requested and busy A List actress. Even if she had time, I don’t think she’d accept a role a for Netflix funded reboot
It’s almost the same thing as what happened to the Icarly reboot. Jennette McCurdy didn’t want to return to the show even though her character Sam was the highlight of the series and people got angry/disappointed at her even though she quit acting cause she never wanted to be one and was forced by her terrible mom
They were kids when the show ended, hadn’t been passionate in acting nor have done anything in a decade. Also were treated poorly as children during the show. Good for them for not given in and still having full respect even if thy respect wasn’t given back! 👏🏻
people who are mad bc they don’t want to do a job they’ve literally retired from is the equivalent of customers getting annoyed at staff about stock when most stores don’t pick what they get themselves
I dont know why people were surprised. Every single interview he has ever done since Full House ended he has mentioned the love he has for all the girls including the twins. He even said he understood why they didn't come back
Other than the fact that the reboot is embarrassing, the Olsen twins have made a brand for themselves as a fashion house, and have been well respected in the fashion industry. Joining the reboot, means damaging the reputation they had made for themselves. Also, it seems that acting itself is simply what they are not interested in doing.
Even if acting *was* something they were interested in, by the time they retired they had put a full career in. I do not blame them in the slightest for being over it and wanting something else.
I see it differently! The twins made a LOT of money because of their Full House days. To not be humble and make ONE appearance is from my point of view rude! Failure to recognize the fan base that made you famous and a household name is selfish! They could have had a walk on or show up for the big wedding of the last episode! People would have really appreciated it. Instead fans are disappointed that they aren't "humble" enough to show some loyalty and thankfulness by showing up! Shows class. The twins admitted they didn't feel confident as adults to go back to acting. I respect that.
They also didn't need to. Their movies made them tons and by all accounts they invested very well so have no need to do movies.

Yes, this. People like them are truly disturbing.
But they won't give up that fuller house income.

Where’d they say that
That's sad because I have fond memories of watching Full House when I was growing up.
@@MsEliteForever why would they... They earned every penny of it!
They are drop dead gorgeous🤗🙌💖👑

These girls went through A LOT during their childhood and young adulthood for their cast members to say they are "disappointed" that they didn't return to a show they did as kids.
I am sure Bob treated them like they were his kids and I am sure both twins remember that.
Don't know many dad's that joke about fucking his daughters.

I didn't realize how much of that show they carried until watching Fuller House. After the first two episodes, I was done!
And yet no one mentions the other twins from the show
Other than the fact that the reboot is embarrassing, the Olsen twins have made a brand for themselves as a fashion house, and have been well respected in the fashion industry.
