Great video! I really like the spear fishing videos. Maybe at the end, give us a look at your haul. Other than that, you're doing a great job!

Yeah I agree with you! Thank you for your great idea mate! The thumb nail was what I caught but I definitely should have had the picture in the video. I appreciate you, means a ton! ❤🤙

Is that a ab biller ?

@nickbidmead4987 no, it's a JBL speargun, super good brand, check em out! I have an Ab Miller but the trigger system of the JBL feels way smoother and is better. But both brands are beasts!

Is spearfishing possible on the west coast of FL? Or is it more of an East coast thing only

This is on the west coast of Florida! This was on a pretty murky day but when it gets clear we got some sick spots as well! Most of the spots in this video were off shore of Venice Florida. Check out the Palm Island Ferry Reef for example!

Do you have any recommendations for a shallow spot for a beginner ? Don’t really care what type of fish just looking to get out on the water and get some experience , thanks !

Hey! Appreciate you reaching out! Do you have scuba gear and/or a boat? Or are you looking for shore dive spots?

@@Salty_Ocean just shore dive at the moment 🤙

@ChrisCastro-to5vb Alright! Right now, the water in Florida is very warm, so algea is blooming, and rivers are dumping because of the amounts of rain. This leads to murky water around this time of year. However, in winter when the bay is clear, I would try to see if you can get your hands on a inflatable paddleboard or kayak and explore any mangroves or little private docks when the Bay is clear. Docks and mangroves are usually no deeper than 5 feet and are loaded with snapper and sheepshead. And as for shore dives on the ocean side, I would go on google maps, and scan the coast around you for any darker patches near the beach which may be Limestone reefs loaded with fish especially in the winter, that's exactly how I find my shallow spots, but I also LOVE the mangroves and docks. Winter is always more fishy because when the water is warm in the summer all the fush migrate further offshore to colder deeper water. Get out there mate🤙

@ChrisCastro-to5vb Check out my "episode 50" video to see what I'm talking about with mangroves and docks in the bay🤙👍

@@Salty_Ocean really appreciate the response and info , 100% don’t wanna be swimming in algae / city backwash water 😂 I actually do have a paddle board ! That’s really what got me more in the water and interested in fishing overall . And since we’re still in the hotter months that’ll give me some time to scout around on maps and make a nice list of potential spots . Thanks a lot man really appreciate it 🙏
