Hari R. Srivastav lives a middle-class life in rural India with two step-brothers, Govind and Rajesh. Circumstances compel him to get married to Seema, who dislikes Govind and Rajesh. When Hari goes to Bombay to study law to become a lawyer, she manages to get rid of the two children, who find their way to Bombay, become beggars, then are rescued by a devout Muslim, Rahim, who looks after them like his own children, Farida and Anwar. 20 years later, Hari, Govind and Rajesh are re-united in a Courtroom - where Hari is the Judge; Rajesh is accused of embezzling money from his father-in-law, Verma, and of drug-dealing and smuggling; while Govind, a taxi-driver, prone to physical violence - is accused of killing Verma!!!

मैंने खुद्दार फिल्म देखी संजीव कुमार ने अपने भाई को बचाने के लिए जो कोर्ट में जो वकालत गिरी किया वह मैं इस फिल्म को खुद्दार को मैं एक बार नहीं मैंने कितनी बार मैं उसी रिपीट कर करके मैं देखता हूं फिर भी मेरा दिल नहीं भरता देखने से मैं बार-बार उस सीन को मैं देखता हूं जब कोर्ट में जब संजीव कुमार जब सारे सपूत को धज्जियां उड़ाते हैं तब बहुत अच्छा यह सीन लगता है मुझे मैं संजीव कुमार जी को सलाम करता हूं

Thankfully this film was released in the year 1982 just imagine this film being released in 2021 in India were two Hindu boys being adopted and raised by a Muslim. This film would of been banned,Boycotted,theatres would be set on fire artists producers/directors would of got death threats. BJP and Co would have released Godi media to to have 24/7 debate on adoption Jihad.Thankfully this film was released in 1982 and was a big hit with the public.

An underrated movie of amithab. Surprised that this did only average at that time. What a great acting of sanjivkumar and amithab. This was later remade in tamil as padikadhavan with rajinikanth reprising amithab's role and shivaji ganeshan reprising sanjivkumar's role which turned out to be an industry hit.
It was a superhit movie and 4th highest grosser of that year .
