This is my new favourite channel, I adore the fact that you make this accessible, the fact you’re a vintage enthusiast, a feminist and gay. Love it! Xxx
Thanks! I didn’t think I would get any results when I searched “Lauren Bacall Hair Tutorial” haha. Love her look. I’ve always felt connected to her in a weird way since she is my namesake :P
I have just discovered your channel and I’m utterly obsessed with your content!! You’re so absolutely beautiful!! This is a wonderful video and I’m definitely going to try this! I was named after Lauren Bacall so I’m definitely biased but wonderful video Jessica!! ❤️
Trying this tomorrow. My mother did my hair (not like in the video but close enough) because I was gonna have trouble. So far this will be the most comfortable sleep I've had in rollers so far because of their position.
So fun to see you doing BSL! I speak *some* ASL (late in life HOH) and it's fun to see others! PS: it's nice to see how pincurls can be done on thinner hair too :D
This is a very classy look I plan to try, thanks. I’m struggling cognitively and found the setting pattern hard to follow though. Possibly I need a slomo version for Spoonie brainfog! Yesterday I tried a proper pin curl wetset with bobby pins and this looks like it should be much easier, if I can get my head around which way I’m rolling the different sections.
I am so happy I found your channel. I love your energy and how easy you are to follow. I am so excited to start my vintage style journey and your videos make me confident that I can do it. Can you preserve these styles overnight and wear them for a second day?
Hello, Jessica, I have just found out your channel! I really really reaaaallly felt in love with your channel, all the subjects are interesting! I have a question about hairstyle, because I have curly/wavy hair. It is not much, actually, it kind of remembers the texture of the vintage looks. I would like to know if I have to make my hair straight before I make the hairstyle... Thank you, love your channel!
REQUEST** Hi, I'm new and am trying to find a new look, kind of a gothic pinup style, I'm getting bored of my look, I don't feel stunning, and my boyfriend wishes that I would change up my look from time to time. Could you do a tutorial on how you get your eyebrows so amazing? Please?
Maybe this is a dumb question, but... am I the only one who can't comb my roller curled hair because it would instantly kick out the curls? I have very fine, straight hair.
That moment when you only use shampoo, but your hair is somehow silkily silky and as silky as it gets. And that coming from someone who burned their hair to a crisp by bleaching, dyeing and straightening years ago and grew out their own natural hair from a pixie cut for several years, no dyes and no heat this time. I can NEVER curl my hair. Nothing holds it. Neither a high heat nor strongest of sprays. :( And I only grew my hair out to curl it, damn it!
Lauren is rolling over in her grave. This looks nothing like her hair. Just because you brush out a set doesn't mean it's comparable. I think you should reconsider the title.
OMG Lauren Bacall is my absolutley favorite, usually I don't try hair tutorials because I have no pacience withanything related to do my hair but this one oh god you got me with this one, can't die without trying it.
This one actually looks doable for me! I can't really put my arms above my head so most setting patterns are completely exhausting for me, but this one could work! Argh! I'm unbelievably excited!
i have been trying to do this hair but using a wet set it just comes out straight, what can i using in the curls to make it actually stay in after i take the rollers out apart form just water??
Girl you have no idea how much I want to support by shopping with your links but America isn't letting me. Sending my support through positive energy to my fellow zebra! Love the tutorial! Thank you so much!
You slept on that?! Oh no, how did that work out? You say "good morning". Yikes! You slept on it! Was it uncomfy? Im willing to do it but not sleep in it. Thank you for the fabulous rolling info! Ive already got the rollers. YAY!
U r by far my favorite when it comes to hair styles. Every style is so meticulously set in such a beautiful way. I have made a playlist of your how to videos for my favorite styles so i can try them. Thank u for sharing ur products, tips and tricks🥰🥰🥰🌺🌺🌺
I tried do do it like 4 fricking times now and i cant do it for shit... My hair looks just like yours after i take off those rollers, but it gets super fuzzy and straightens up after i brush them. My hair is a bit longer than yours, may that be the problem? I can have a nice curl, but after i brush my hair , it's almost completely gone :( do you have some tips for me?
@jessica kellgren-Fozard - want to try this with my hair, but I'm unsure how to go about brushing it out as I am part african american. Any advice for this?
I am so excited to find someone who uses ASL, is into vintage fashion and has such an enjoyable personality. I immediately subscribed!!
same here
i know this was 4 years ago but I wanted to let you know she’s not using ASL, this is BSL
I've never seen you with straight hair before! Where is Jessica? Who is this?? lol
Kaylee Christian I actually thought she was another person for a moment there!

I love how you use signing ! And your subtitles are actually good and not auto generated. How thoughtful of you! :)
I think this is one of the best styles - it's so chic and fun
Perfect. I have always thought you resemble a cross between Lauren Bacall and Ava Gardner!
You are quite possibly the most classiest modern day lady I’ve ever seen
I'm amazed you've figured out a way to recreate those vintage locks O: I love this kinda style so much!

Loved the way you filmed, playfully dancing to wonderful music. Loved the finished look, you look beautiful 🌞🌸
Your hair is so beautiful! I watch your tutorials and wish my hair looked like yours, but I'm too lazy to do my hair... *sob*
I have a fancy dress party to go to tomorrow, I'm going to try this with my hot rollers, wish me luck!
That looks very nice on you! I wish more women wear hair like that now. 😍
Love your video! Specially your bubbly personality ! ☺️

Jenny Horner - you can watch it in .5 speed?
Lauraphoid ah yes hadn’t seen that option. Now I can work out how slow my brain works is it 0.5 normal speed? 😉
:D
I think i am about to be the 100 000th view and i feel honored, but also you should have more views
The straight hair looks like Anna Kendrick kinda but that’s probably just me
no, I get an Anna Kendrick vibe from her too
This is stunning. So classy and beautiful.
It's so weird how you with curly and straight hair look like two entirely different people. :)
Absolutely fabulous
Oh my god you have the most beautiful and sweetest voice.
I struggle so much with roller sets. I think this one I might be able to accomplish. :)
Oh god you got me this time
looks complicated oooff but it's exactly what i've been looking for :) thx!!
You're so funny! Loving your videos!
omg with the hair undone she looks like Isla Fisher!
I am so happy I found your channel. I love your energy and how easy you are to follow. I am so excited to start my vintage style journey and your videos make me confident that I can do it.

Thank you, love your channel!
No, you don't have to straighten it. In fact, it will probably make curling it more difficult.
I looooove your hair 😍
Loved this video, it was exactly what I wanted, thank you !
Wow. Thank You fot this video! I neet to recreate this look!!!
I've replayed 3 times but still can't tell, do you roll under at the sides & back? I struggle with rollers.
It's so glamorous!
This is very classy. Do you ever use hot rollers?
Wow, you have such a pretty neck! It's so elegant.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but... am I the only one who can't comb my roller curled hair because it would instantly kick out the curls? I have very fine, straight hair.
👏👏👏🥰
Idk why but you remind me of phoebe buffay

This one actually looks doable for me! I can't really put my arms above my head so most setting patterns are completely exhausting for me, but this one could work! Argh! I'm unbelievably excited!
I can’t either! If my arms are up too long I odd out so I have to modify a lot of things 😂
Did you try? How did it work out?
Your hair is gorgeous in this style but what also what a babe with the straight hair 😍
I'm so shocked with how long your hair is!!! Do you think this works on already wavy hair?
bluemermaiid probably if you straighten it beforehand :)
This video was soooo incredibly happy ! I love it ! 😍 and I loooove the hair style! Thank you so much 💛🍁
Wow! You look completely different with straight hair. I quite like the look on you, well both of them I mean.
Woaaah you are so beautiful.
Can you get away with not using a setting solution if you have naturally wavy hair?
You are a hoot. I love watching you dance as you recreate these vintage hairstyles. Keep them coming!

What solution did you dip the sponge on ?
She tells you towards the beginning of the video. It is a mixture of water and setting lotion.
Ahhh, all the dancing makes me so happy
Omg ur so adorable and I love ur voice! Like it can be sweet and bubbly or sexy and mature or just anything like dekwnfriejnfre
On a side note, she married at 19 to a guy in his 40's? Was that a more common thing back in the day or... ?
