@@arjunmenon1796I wonder if anything will be done with Metal Sonic since he was planned for the game but never made it in. Maybe as a special Metal Sonic Episode that takes place before, during or after the main campaign? Now that I think of it; that could be a campaign in of itself. Perhaps Metal Sonic is the reason Eggman went to Soleanna, he’s the reason some characters didn’t show like the Chaotix because they were busy with him or the reason we never saw him in Sonic 2006 is because somewhere during the events of Episode Silver; he gets attacked and wreaked to pieces because Silver thought he was his Iblis Trigger. If that last one is how it goes; not only would it add tension to his confrontations with Sonic by showing how easily he crushes Metal Sonic in their encounter but also give him a badass scene where he effortlessly takes down Metal Sonic compared to the other two hedgehogs who at best could lure him into a trap and give him the closest thing to a scene involving an interaction with Eggman. That or have him encounter Blaze in the period she’s separated from Silver and she gets to interact with someone other than Silver.
