Building Chance a Home | Rover Followup with Surgeon | More Delicious Doggy Peanut Butter

- Here’s just a few moments over the last couple of days here at the farm. We’ve started building Chance an upgraded place to call home. Rover had his follow up appointment at the surgeon. And, we received a surprise package of more delicious doggy peanut butter.
For those that have closely been following Chances journey and all the many discussions we’ve had about his progress would know that Chance is doing extremely well, he’s such a good boy, but he still has not been able to pass the final stage and be fully integrated into our very big and unusual pack and home without supervision 24/7. He has interest from a potential and very suitable adopter and home, which we hope might still come through but if not or until then we want to give Chance the next best thing we can here at the farm. A comfy home much closer to us with his own lovely yard and sunning deck. Something he can enjoy. Something next to the house so we can simply open the gate spur of the moment when we all go out for a night walk or an early morning wander with Wolf.
So Luke has started work on the area, levelling out the spot for his accommodation and garden.
He stops to take Rover to his follow up appointment with the surgeon. It goes well, Rover is full of energy and very happy. It has been a wonderful outcome for Rover. He does still suffer with incontinence and straining to empty his bowels. The surgeon thinks it might be neurological, mixed signals being sent, and would like to trial medication to see if it helps. We don’t care at all about incontinence but it is in an effort to help possibly with less stress on any possible adoption prospects.
We also receive a very lovely surprise package of some more delicious doggy peanut butter. Thank you so much to whomever sent us the gift, it is such a treat for the dogs and for us humans who absolutely love to see them enjoy it so much. Thank you.
I'm always so impressed with how gentle Wolfie is with the doggies. I've never seen a toddler who understood the concept of "gentle". All credit to Luke and Sam ,of course. What wonderful parents.
They are the best parents. If I come back in another life, I want to be Sam and Luke's kid.😆😆😆
Many people don't realise how cruel children are to animals; most times, it's not done on purpose. They never had the correct teaching. Puppy dropping is a significant cause of broken limbs etc.

So true, amazing how the children are so gentle. The girls treat animals following their parents guidance, and watching Wolfie amazes me in how he’s learned so much at his young age💞

Love how Luke always stops and points out nature to the children- most of us would never think to point out how beautiful the birds are flying-or how skillful a spider is climbing the wall- he is passing on his appreciation for all of God’s creatures to his children- another wonderful example that he and Sam are blessed caretakers. Also how about Tank always being by Wolfe’s side when he picks up some steam running down hill! Such contentment in those early morning walks- the children will one day look back and so thankful these moments were captured.

I totally agree..this is how I was brought up as a child and it has been one of my greatest blessings in life. So sad that many young children these days are being brought up to view many things in the natural world as either harmful or dirty .These dear children will benefit so much from the magical upbringing they are being given. Wonderful video.
Those kids are going to be the most well-adjusted, reasonable, socially physically and mentally intelligent, thoughtful kids with the best immune systems. Bravo Luke and Sam! The world needs more parents like you guys. Kids need to play in the dirt and be active. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

When the late night summer parties start out at his bachelor’s pad or the invites show up like Freddo’s photo invites it’s time to maybe put a foot down. Chance is such a good boy I’m sure he’ll keep the noise down out at his house. I can just see Rosco serving the hors d’oeuvres to keep an eye on his party to make sure everyone stays in line. Great name for it Kerry!♥️♥️
Watching Hope’s head go up & down with Banjo’s breathing was probably just so secure & comforting for her. 🐶💜🐾
Banjo became her person after Faith passed. He hs such a calm demeanor that puppies and adult dogs are calmed by him.
It was beautiful to see her cuddling up with sweet Banjo. 🥰

Freddo is SO in love with the girls! And, Wolfie - so gentle with the dogs. Doesn’t even yell at them when he accidentally gets knocked down. The peanut butter treat is definitely something that the doggos go for. Kudos to whoever sent this batch. Thanks, Sam, for the video. It’s like visiting your family down under.

Freddo became Ell's protector after the break in and loss of the pup. Now he's Evie's too. He gets dressed up etc and is just happy being with his girls. Love how you see him hanging in their bigger bedroom and play space area. It's like his kingdom back there. He's their Lancelot guarding his Princess '

The new space for Chance looks like a great idea. Him having a outdoor space sounds great. This is also a great area for future dogs to start intergrating into the pack
It’s amazing to me that there wasn’t a single interest for Tank or Chop Chop. They’re just the sweetest gingers! And Freddo 💕still gives me the biggest smile 🥰

Wolfie waving at the camera reminds me of that one extra in every movie that looks straight into the camera. He's too young to take direction from the film maker. So precious.

So lovely. My favorite part was Chopper hugging Luke and just showing him how much he adores him. There are a few times in the video where Chopper is just looking up into Luke’s eyes. It really is true, the pups pick their people. Chop knew from day one and let everyone know.
I love where Luke refers to how Chop Chop is like wearing a tee shirt. He gets that close and then a little bit more. I knew in my heart as soon as Chop Chop laid down and refused to go back to the shelter, he was never leaving the Farm. I’m sure a lot of people realized as each passing day, they got closer and closer to Luke’s heart, they were already home. ♥️♥️
I was thinking what a wonderful way to show how grateful they are to be on the farm ... So heartwarming to see them all showing so much love to all the family xx
Freeze the peanut butter in ice cube trays, the dogs will love them, especially on a hot day 🙂

Is it me or has Chance’s eyes softened completely? Seeing him in amongst the pack getting his peanut butter treats he was so calm and relaxed. None of the stress or anxiety of crowds on his face or in his body language. He’s become a marshmallow and I want to squish him!

I wonder if she used to sleep with her head on Faith that way. It was so heartwarming to see her so at peace.
If I remember correctly she sort of puppy piled on her most night or were touching in some way or another on the large dog beds behind the chairs. They always slept quite close if not touching until the very last week where they were kind of side by side. Maybe she knew her mother was in pain and needed a little extra room. She started to sleep next to Freddo and then soon shared a bed with Lily behind the chairs. She seems to take a liking to the GSs.
Luke and Sam, thank you for taking good care of Rover so he can get adopted. And thank you for going above and beyond for Chance. I would be over the moon if Chancie got adopted into the perfect family and got his own Chancie Boy RUclips Channel so we can follow the adventures of the big goofy marshmallow with the permanent grin.
I had 2 male and 2 female purebred American Bulldogs at the same time and they got along so I thought maybe Chancie would be able to integrate with all the Farm dogs in the big house without supervision, but I totally understand that Chance still needs supervision. I can tell you as this breed ages the rambunctiousness and high energy wanes a lot. I'm glad he can live at the Farm in his own house with his own deck and his own yard. How spoiled is that, lol.
That peanut butter sure was a hit with the doggies. Lovely morning, lovely scenery, lovely doggies and lovely people!

Oh, that Mr. Chopper with his kisses and love! It's clear that he loves Luke best of all---especially when there's bacon toast on the menu! Then we get Tank and Roscoe and Cutie Pie---and it's a love-in. Then Freddo, and Kitty Rose.....so much love! Once you get Chance into that cabin, I'll book it for a holiday and share it with him! 😃

Chopper and Tank are just such great dogs and good boys.

Everyone must sleep well in the house as it is mostly go, go, go from morning to night. Wolfie especially, I'm exhausted just watching him. Lovely, happy video. Agreed!! Wolfie has soooooo much energy. I only had girls, never had any experience with little boys! Oh, I do remember babysitting a two year old little boy one time. We have a 2 story house and he climbed the stairs for over 2 hours! I was exhausted going up and down, up and down. He never took a nap! I can't wait for Chance to have his new abode. It's such a loving thing that Luke and Sam are doing for him! 💖

I sent you 5 doggy butters original, 1 with collagen and Turmeric and there should be 1 that's a calming. There should have been a note but, Amazon screwed that up again. I sent it to you house address as through Amazon, it wouldn't allow me to sent it to your P.O. address. NOOOO Dad the turmeric 1 is more for Lily and Till Till and the older dogs and the calming one for Freddo during thunder storms

What a sweet Chancey Boy...getting his own cabin to share with all his mates. Y'all are so sweet to do that for him so he is not by himself up in the back. If his smile gets much bigger, I think we will just burst❤❤ So happy for him!!

There is something wonderful about watching so many well-behaved dogs share one jar of peanut butter. They are excited but patient, waiting for their turn like Good Dogs. And I loved the close-ups of the tongues and noses!

Loved seeing Hope lying on banjo. I bet she felt like she did when she would lay her head on her beautiful momma and feel the rytham of her 💜. She found her home and loves Sam so much as do all the pups.
It's so awesome that chancy is getting his own digs closer to his family with a yard and deck. He will LOVE it. Thank you Luke and Sam for never giving up on him. Warts and all, he's a handsome, happy ,huge smiling boy who will thrive even more.

Rover and Gus seem to be good mates, a beautiful morning walk lots of tail wagging. Wolfie as usual is doing his sprint walking. Wolfie really has the action down pat for the steering wheel, he'll be a great help around the Farm very soon. Chopper sooooooooo wants Luke's breakky😁😁. Nah, vegemite toast is the best kind of toast. Rosco doesn't fail giving us his deep growl, just love it😍😍. Freddo is in 7th heaven with the snuggle, Miss Kitty is the Queen, she attacks lighting fast, poor Chopper moved quick smart and his eyes said it all. Cutey Pie and Miss Kitty the perfect snooze buddies. That's fabulous for Chance, his own Chalet and property. You really have the hearts of gold. Miss Red giving Sam loving looks. Oooooooh Luke is such a tease with the package. Charge peanut butter, Tilly being very patient, she sits on the edge waiting her turn. Turmeric coloured tongues, I have turmeric for my arthritis. Chance really getting stuck in. Rover managed to get a good chunk. Let's hope the interest for Rover works out. He loves the car and the one on one with Luke. His ears are like satellite dishes. 🤞the meds work. I can't believe the girls are wearing coats, is it cold there???? We are having heat here in Western Australia, even overnight is approx 20°. The Evan's kids have the perfect life, constant love from mum and dad and all their brothers and sisters. The lights on the trees look stunning. The bat is doing the insect clean up, great job. Ah now it's snooze time. Hope didn't flinch when Sam gave her a gentle loving, love to see her relaxing into her life. Well I can get up now and start the day. Thanks Luke, Sam and crew. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. As much as I enjoy watching the antics of the pack, the young Evans children are a treat to watch also. Barefoot & wearing warm winter coats or is it warm summer coats? Whatever, they are carefree and happy children.
So happy for Chance getting his own cabin closer to the house so that he can participate even more and not be isolated. Thank you so much Luke and Sam for loving the dogs so so much!!! Loved to watch the doggies enjoy the peanut butter. Kudos to whoever it was that delivered it to the house. Love to watch the kids interact with all the doggies... one big happy family! 🥰🙂

How Chopper and Tank didn't find a lovely home is beyond me, how many other rescue dogs miss out on giving cuddles, so glad Tank and Chopper found Sam and Luke.

I was really surprised as well that Tank and Chopper never had any interest. Even on shelter days they just enjoyed themselves and didn't seem to have any anti social behaviour or aggression. I thought they would've been snapped up. They'll certainly be living their best life at the farm 👍 ❤

I really liked this one. What sign language does Luke use for Maggie to explain that goats don't play with dogs and barking excitedly at them doesn't help - no matter how hard you wag your tail!
And that peanut butter will really help the older more arthritic dogs like Tilly (if she doesn't have your hand off) and Bandit. And I think I've cracked the boring ads thing. I just put the tablet in another room and let it play all the way through whilst I get on with other stuff like meal prep and floor washing.. Then later I sit with my feet up and a cuppa and watch it properly - skipping all the ads. That way the dogs get all the income from the first run and I keep my sanity - result!

Like all kids who grow up on farms and ranches, by the time he's 10 Wolf will be driving the quad around the farm, helping dad and feeding Spirit and the goats. He can't wait. Good to hear that Rover has some interested adopters. He's such a good boy. Chance is going to love his new house and yard. All of my dogs and cats have loved peanut butter so it's not surprising that the pack loves it too.. Just noses and tongues.
I absolutely love all the dogs, but I must admit I do have a couple of all time favourites, Freddo, he is soo adorable and patient with everyone both human and dogs alike, he will just have his cuddle, he doesnt mind who joins in, he doesnt complain, and if he wants you to through a toy he will just wait patiently. Chancey boy, he is sooo loving,he just thinks the world evolves around Luke, he loves him and appreciates the new life he has been given so much.And Hope, she is so sweet and has come so far, she had to finish her journey without her mum, but she is so lucky to have found Sam who is so loving and kind to her, just like a second mum, and although I havent seen a lot of him lately I also love Mr Banjo, he is just such a big love bug to all the puppies.😊
