Your videos are always such a treasure. Thank you. I love that there not same old same old but vary in content. You are a very talented photographer. You help make an old 75 year old feel part of your camping trips.
Brill simple peaceful site Mr C 😁You were right when you said I’d want this on our list to visit! - loved the way you kept the overdubs to a minimum to enhance the peaceful feel of the place…anyone would think you knew what you were doing!!! 😂 Thanks again - keep up the great work 👍
Thanks for another balanced and informative review for the likes of me with a campervan. One thing that would be helpful during your campsite reviews and when you're describing the site facilities, price etc, would be to mention the opening times of the site, ie is it open all year, only March to Sept etc etc. Spoiler alert, I found out that Seatoller closes after the first week of October
@hyphenphotography ah thanks matey... yep, that's a great addition. I've recently added mobile reception as somebody asked, the more helpful I can be in these tours the better. Thanks muchly
Haven't watched for a wee while, but boy oh boy am i pleased i did. Great little film as per usual, have camped at Seatoller quite a few times and it is a great little place, enjoyed the Q&A keep them coming bonnie lad 👍👍
Hi Colin, I just want to say that your videos are an inspiration mate. I have been following your journey for a while now and decided to give it a go too. Campervan, camping and just walking about does wonders for ones headspace. Keep it up bud! Mike
Love that campsite on my visit list. Have been to lodger falls nightmare to figure out access and need lots of rain as we found not much in way of waterfall if been dry. Ashness bridge is nice if not been before. Great low shot of river 📷
I’ve also got the Flipside 450. My lightweight bag but when I want all my gear I have a Shimoda Explore 35. Amazing bags. I’m a Landscape and Wildlife photographer. Too introverted to do wedding photography.
We saw the Bowder Stone last year and were similarly unimpressed - just a big rock from a rockfall 🙄. Lovely area, pretty campsite to get away from it all if that’s what’s needed. The waterfalls looked impressive after all the recent rain. Thanks for sharing. Hope you and the family have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
Cheers for the 🍺, a great chilled evening, thanks. A lovely site. Finished the C2C 2 days later even though I doubted myself and now feel over the moon about it! Won’t forget the “Deep Rest” conversation- very thoughtful and insightful! BTW nice video
Congratulations buddy, so happy to hear that you completed the walk. I think we touched on "doubting ourselves" during our chat, I think it's built in, but we are way more capable than we think. Massive well done! You'd already gone by the time I woke up (about 8 am ish), so I couldn't say goodbye. It's totally understandable though, considering the distance you had to cover the next day. Great chat, and thanks for coming over for a chat and a beer. 2 and a half hours of chatting felt like 10 minutes. And as a Yorkshire Man, that free beer was a tough call 🤣🤣! Hopefully bump in to you again on our travels
Stayed here 2 nights. Absolutely stunning local area and views however, ended up propa I'll with covid so couldn't do any local walks.. 😔 Keep up the great work 👏
Sounds cheap buts its actually very expensive. For a family with 2 kids over 12 and 2 dogs it’s £58 a night! I use lots of comparable sites for £18-25 per night. Some in North Wales are a tenner.
Lovely site - thanks for sharing - the hotel at the waterfalls looked interesting until I saw the price! Did one of the mountain goat bus tours in November (highly recommended) and we went past that and it drew my interest. great photos as always, very clever shots. Have a lovely bank holiday weekend, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍
You can shake hands underneath the stone - obvs with someone else not yourself 😜. We’ve always called it “bough-der” stone as in “now”-der. Love your videos
Hi Colin, I follow your old account. Then you disappeared and I found this channel. Your videos were great on your old channel. This fantastic too. Good to see your back up.
Always love your videos, give me a positive kick!! I know you like the lakes and have a similar campsite to this one that I think you’ll like. Hoathwaite Farm, it used to be National Trust but is now run by the local farmer and his family. Very basic by the side of Coniston Lake, but if you avoid bank holidays, it’s always very quiet and chilled. We have a caravan here just past the farmhouse, it’s a great spot
Pretty new subscriber on the channel love the content and recommendation, so much so we’ve just returned from a lovely short break at the Howgill Campsite keep up the great work 🚐 🔥 🍻
Ahhh, got our fix of YPT tonight. Did I notice new music?, 🎶 plus is that a new camera for filming. It was very sharp and clear, or was it just my new contact lenses. You should try a new feature- ‘Cooking with Col’. Mind you not much to say when doing a pot noodle.
Hey buddy, I think I threw in a few different songs (definately more new tracks in next weeks video too) Not a new camera, the same Sony one I've been using for a while now ;)
I'm not 100% sure I'll be honest. I love the versatility of this sized van. But if you were to force my hand, I'd probably say something crafter/sprinter size
Hi ..quick question . With your pop top down (obviously) does the van still get under normal height barriers on car parks ? cheers .love the bids by the way 👍
Hey buddy, it still gets under the 2m height barriers, but each conversion is different. It always best to check the height of yours with a tape measure to be on the safe side ;)
Hey buddy, I got it from the caravan and camping show (there isn't a brand on it anywhere sadly) - but it seems that MrAndRob has found a similar one at Decathlon ;)
Have you been to Seathwaite campsite just round the corner Colin? We want to give that a go, but this looks equally as good 🙂 Oh, it’s pronounced “Low-door” 😀
Hey, I have but it was ages ago (quite an old video) - I'm definitely planning on returning though as I love that place... Thanks for the heads up on pronunciation the Cart Dor hotel 🤣🤣
Haha I'm a I'll photograph what the chef puts in front of me, if it's crap I'll send it back kind of photographer 🤣 Having said that, I'll shift around the chips to make them look nicer, spray water on the salad to make it look juicier etc..... ;)
Ah thanks so much, I'm not sure they'll fit the T6 - I think they have different mounting points. But thanks so much anyway buddy, that's super kind of you
Another great video...such a likeabke chap 👍👌
My wife asked why do you have a washing machine tattoo on your arm. 😂 Bless her. I explained it was a camera. Keep up the good work .
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thx for sharing this location 🙏 man in a van here also , im taking my van to scotland in october ,lake district is on route 👌
Your videos are always such a treasure. Thank you. I love that there not same old same old but vary in content. You are a very talented photographer. You help make an old 75 year old feel part of your camping trips.
I love the campsite. It goes to prove that simple is best.
That looked like a really relaxing camp , love those smaller more basic sites, great video as per normal Colin
One man and his van!
Just needed the theme from ' Love Story' playing in the background. 😍

Great photos and enjoyable vlog
Great vid, that campsite looks like my cuppa tea 🤌

Black and White River shot looks great,
A good mount, and frame will go well...
Nice video mate! Definitely one to put on the list, I’m trying to convince the wife to go away next weekend after seeing this
We also have one of the ground protectors , don’t take up lots of space in the van ;-) You can’t beat a good fire whilst camping :-)
now that's a cool job and the perfect lifestyle - loving your vlogs 😊👍🏻

Lovely campsite stayed there a couple of nights couple of year ok. It was 8 pound a night. Unbelievable value

Top video again Colin. Entertaining as always. Also, really good impression of Tom Heaton at 1:20!!
Haha you noticed 🤣🤣🤣
👍

Haha, it's certainly more expensive than the camp site 🤣🤣
We're still using daylsbridge camp site so thanks Colin
Very chilled campsite, ace!
You can shake hands underneath the stone - obvs with someone else not yourself 😜. We’ve always called it “bough-der” stone as in “now”-der. Love your videos
Looks a great campsite. Not sure our van would fit though 😂

Welcome on board matey. I'm so happy that my waffle has helped.... Howgill is such a lovely campsite isn't it
If you ever go to South Wales try cocos wild campaite
The border stone’s story is the bottom on and how it stand
I had my honeymoon at the Ladore Falls Hotel
I stayed here a few weeks ago, pissed down the whole time, it's the closest you can get to roughing it without roughing it lol
Only thing that pops to my mind while watching your great videos is NICKELBACK. 🤣🤣🤣
Dude, you can make a carrier as a double 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha I am Chad 🤣🤣🤣
The Bowder Stone is a big Stone, not a rock, that fell down the cliff and landed there. Good job you weren’t there at the time. 😂😂

Not a new camera, the same Sony one I've been using for a while now ;)
If you were to change your van, what would you opt for
I'm not 100% sure I'll be honest. I love the versatility of this sized van.
But if you were to force my hand, I'd probably say something crafter/sprinter size
Hi Colin..were going to Seathwaite this weekend ..I think its next door to seatoller
.??
It absolutely is.... a gorgeous campsite at seathwait... enjoy
Hi ..quick question . With your pop top down (obviously) does the van still get under normal height barriers on car parks ? cheers .love the bids by the way 👍

Hi mate, what's that small table you were cooking on, looks good?
I was going ask the same question. Looks ideal!
@@Cookie1974 I got one very similar today from Decathlon for 14.99.
Looks the same size but has a nicer pattern on it
Hey buddy, I got it from the caravan and camping show (there isn't a brand on it anywhere sadly) - but it seems that MrAndRob has found a similar one at Decathlon ;)

Are you a tweezers and pipette kind of food photographer or do you let the chef deal with most of the presentation?
Haha I'm a I'll photograph what the chef puts in front of me, if it's crap I'll send it back kind of photographer 🤣
Having said that, I'll shift around the chips to make them look nicer, spray water on the salad to make it look juicier etc..... ;)
I have a set of T6.1 door cards new if you want them free and you can fit these to make content
Ah thanks so much, I'm not sure they'll fit the T6 - I think they have different mounting points. But thanks so much anyway buddy, that's super kind of you
