@@linarose5751 partly but it’s because in terms of our investment to the performing arts is a major factor as well. I mean we have been investing in our drama, music dance and musical theatre establishments for going onto 200 years. Starting with the royal college of music which is one of the leading consistories and I’m speaking from exspirience here as I live and hear them practicing and get trained by a vocal coach at another top modern music European music college I’m here in London. And they invest heavily I mean you have GSA, RADA,RCM.LCDC,Bird, mouthiest, arts Ed (RADA musical theatre equivalent) trinity Laban and the list goes on they are all top international training conservatoires and colleges. Of course you have top actors in the US and all over the world as well. But as a majority the UK takes the cake. We also have so much history spanning going up to 5-600 years of establishing theatre which then migrated into modern day film and TV or contemporary music which migrated from the classical musicians route.
Probably should mention that I also go to a performing arts College and many of my friends are the same. So I’m talking from experience and from somebody who is living it as well. More so the way in which our artists are treated is insane not perfect of course and we still have a long way to go. But better than a lot of other countries all in all. And things are always changing and getting better.

People pay attention on Hailee’s extremely good acting, and yes she’s not just good but a very versatile actress BUT since season 1 I’m hooked at Ella Hunt’s acting. She makes it look so easy and effortless considering that she also need to do an american accent.

No, she was confused and pushed by literally everything and everyone around her (except Sue) to think she could love a man like that. The connection she felt to Ben (someone who didn't existed irl, if I remember well) thinking he could understand her etc, was really because he was gay. They were the same in that regard. She never actually fell in love with a man, when you know a thing or two about heteronormativity (and therefore compulsory heterosexuality) those encounters in the show make sense, and in season 3 she said it herself in episode 7 (a very good episode in my opinion)

I agree with Sue. Emily was obsessed with her poetry. Makes sense that Sue wanted her and not just her words, like walk how you talk. I can't wrap my head around how Emily doesn't see it. Sue, screaming she wants Emily is like my biggest dream, especially from a beautiful girl like Sue.
@@dec23 well it's hard to take action since Sue is now with child with her brother their awhole situation is weird I don't blame Emily for running away she in reality she can never truly be with the person she love the way she wants too and including being her true self that why she focused on her writing the way she do its the only thing emily has in her life and that her escaping to another reality.

Am I the only one that was bothered by how they treated Ben and Emily's relationship ? The show clearly shows that they were in love and then backpedals after his death being like "He was gay" or when Emily says "I was never in love with a man". It feels like they changed their mind halfway about the nature of their bond which felt weird ?
this!! at least keep their unmarried confidant type of relationship a thing. she could/can still love him without being in love with him. that line kinda annoyed me, it was low key erasure to the friendship they had.
In the show yes they were very close. But in real life they were nothing more than best friends. Ben in fact left the Dickinson to get married where he then died with her. Ben and Emily never actually were romantically linked. She has been romantically linked to men but in a time where being LGBT is forbidden we have no Idea how accurate these other love interests were except for Sue

worst character in the show, made me drop it: gaslighting emily whilst marrying her brother, and cheating on austin with a married guy(whom she pushed Emily to have relations with knowing very well that she sleeping with him, and went to visit the invalid wife the next day. mairatour, trynna force to sue to 'act father' for a child that ain't hers.
