I assume season preview is based on the squad’s average ability. When there were only 2 players plus the defenders, it would have been up in the 190s. But when they filled out the squad, it brought the average down.

1 club a perfect goalie
1 a perfect defender
1 a perfect midfielder
1 a perfect attacker
And see who rises to the prem the fastest

I think if you were going to redo this I'd be interested in you including the keeper in defense and then probably adding on wing back ability for a bit of flexibility. Great stuff Jay

I think they didn't sign anyone because anyone they could sign would look awful compared to those 5 guys. I suspect if you were managing the team every player you scouted would be half a star at best, as the scouts rec is relative to your best player. That's why when you sign a superstar all your other players recommendation drops a bit. I suspect you will see this with all the other positions too.
Ahhh i didn't think of that, I've already recorded the midfielders and strikers as well so I can't even pose that as a theory 🤣🤣
@jayhuahua that sounds like spoilers. I guess it happened again. It will be interesting to see if they do worse when all the defenders are greyed out players. My hypothesis would be that the midfielders do best as it will balance out attack and defence. I'm looking forward to seeing if that's the case. Also, congrats on the growth of the channel. I've been here from the early days, and it is well deserved!

Believe me or not, i manage farnborough in this fm save. 15 years and now we in PL. Not winning it yet but we did won 2 carling cup and 1 champion league.

Yeah i am enjoying the variation to be honest. Haha when i am in the middle of recording, sometimes I forget about Ralph. Makes it all the sweeter when he pops up though
Create an all time Brazil team. Make the players 18 years old. Lock them to lower level Vanarama South club to see how long it would take to win a Champions League.

@@jayhuahua You would have trouble finding defensive midfielders and central defenders but the attacking options. Pele Ronaldo, Ronaldihno, Garranchia, Zico and Socrates.
Another great video and twist on the concept. I’m really intrigued to see where the Midfielders and Forwards experiments rank against this one, therefore think you should continue with Farnborough. Would say that the club ended up being a champ/prem yo-yo club, but will be interesting to see if they achieve a higher level & more cup wins….. are you doing Midfielders with different specialisms i.e an Anchor, a Mezzala, a Ball Winning midfielder, a deep lying playmaker …? Look forward to these and more of your videos
We're staying with Farnborough. I'm not sure how to make players have different specialisms when you make them tbh
This may not make sense, but I would be interested in a captain experiment. Having a model citizen captain around a squad of young, unprofessional players. Keep them all trapped at the club forever and see if that model citizen captain can really make a massive impact on a young, unprofessional squad.
I like this idea. I want to do some testing with mentoring but it's knuckling down the specifics on it
please simulate every season to just after the last game so we can see the tactics and how they lined up before the start of the new season. would have been interesting to see how they lined up with half a squad

Do you think they didn't sign any players due to the salary disparity? with perfect players on only 300/week, maybe it couldn't justify paying more for lesser players?
Possibly, although when i have locked a perfect player at a team on 1k per week it's not been an issue 🤔
