I’d love to hear him give God more credit. Yes, we all have felt the deep questions mentioned in this song, but what about the other side to it all?! Which is Christ! Although we have heavy junk in our lives, Christ died so that we may live! Let’s acknowledge the weight of the world, yes. But what’s more important is to remember Gods Grace, and Christ’s sacrifice for us that we WILL know Heaven once we simply accept Him as our savior.

Somewhere in a dissertation on Job a while back I had heard that God understands and praises true lament for the conditions of ourselves and our fallen world. It made a lot of sense to me and I feel Dax's songs touch on that edge of deep hurt that we often feel in our souls. I didn’t love him more than my mom or my dad or my family. The day I finally loved and I mean loved God all of those questions faded away. Love is literally the answer to our confusion. But you can’t just say you love God you have to feel it. Actually feel it. Get on your knees and talk to him. Try it , you’ll feel it too.

My advice for seeking the true God- get in a place where you won’t be disturbed, and ask God to reveal Himself to you as He is. Not as you want him to be, not who others say He is, but as He IS. God says if you seek Him you will find Him.

I guess the only thing i can say is that if people made you feel that way then that is wrong and they aren't portraying the love of God very well. If anyone pretends they're perfect and doesn't sin then they're lying straight up. A lot of Christians are very quick to judge forgetting that judgement is not up to us. The two most important commandments are to love God and love your neighbour. Having a relationship with God isn't about doing certain things, dressing a certain way, adhering to any strict rule that a person or church tries to impose. God is graceful and forgiving, unlike people. Im a surfer and i loved this explanation. Religion is a guy sitting in church thinking about surfing, a relationship is a surfer out in the water thinking about God. So obviously i dont know your situation but if people made you feel like a constant fk up then they are the ones who should rethink their relationship with God and their position to pass judgement. We all mess up, the point is not to be perfect, rather the opposite. To acknowledge that we mess up and need forgiveness. You dont need forgiveness from any person though and anyone who makes you feel that way is not correct in their theology no matter how good their intentions are. I mighy be way off here but either way im glad you're doing better in general. I'd just love to encourage you to forget what certain people may have said or done, and give God a chance. Judging someone for their choices are not up to us so i understand exactly where you're coming from. In terms of the pain, I've been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis so i know how you feel about being in pain and not being healed. I dont want to come across like im preaching to you or have all the answers, i just wanted to pass on some encouragement so please dont think im here saying "im right" or anything like that. I believe God does want to heal us but he also wants us to gain revelation. As humans we learn the most through our struggles, not when everything is handed to us on a platter and life is easy. I cant possibly give you all the answers you're looking for but i know that God can.
