Mister, the reason why the cocopeat has been taking too much time to grind is because you have used the wrong blades. The blades you used are meant for blending liquids, not for grinding. The grinding blades are longer.

Coco peat needs to decompose. So don’t add directly to soil. But what you can do is add husk in the bottom of the pot and then add soil on top.

Video good hai. But homemade cocopeat is more expensive than the market one.
1 kg cocopeat cost in my area (punjab) is 25-30 rs. 1 coconut cost you 20-30 Rs and 1 coconut will not give you 1 kg of cocopeat. Right sir !

I agree that the normal processed cocopeat have great price and it is difficult to afford. However, I have a doubt. There is acidity in the normal husk. I understand that it will affect plants, if we use it directly. In your presentation, you are using it directly without removing the acidity which can harm the plants. Am I right?

The commercial coco peat brick or a portion should be washed by placing in water in a large container. It will absorb plenty of water and expand 4-5 times its volume so be prepared to add as much water as possible in order that it gets a good wash. The water should be drained out by squeezing the coco peat with both hands. The waste water wash contains salts and fine sand and should be discarded.This should be repeated twice so that it is totally free of salts/chemicals. It should then be spread on a clean surface and allowed to dry in the sun usually for two days. The coco peat brick will now be in a usable fibrous powder texture.
