I couldn’t help myself! I bought the cookbook after watching this last night. I started watching Butterflies in the early eighties when my boys were babies. My husband worked nights, and I was nursing my youngest. My very first BritCom as a young American woman, aired on PBS. I was smitten with the storyline and with the characters. Now, I get to cook like Wendy and remember what it was like to enjoy cooking in the eighties, before the health food craze. I am sure the recipes will be better than Rhea’s “globulins”. 🥰
Being born in Sept 1968 I can remember very vividly that I would not go to sleep unless my mother put the old 7" Vinyl of Hushabye Mountain onto the record player whilst i stared at the Inflatable Swan called "Becky" that was hooked over the corner of my cot..
Wonderful interview. I grew up watching Butterflies. I can't understand why hunniford was employed as an interviewer, she's terrible! Her questions are so crass. When she asked Wendy about losing her husband.... what a strange way of asking, how unsympathetic. Just AWFUL
Wendy is just wonderful! I have many happy memories of watching Butterflies in my youth. She reminded me of my beautiful mum
Same here :)
Going strong at 88 years old.

She had an affair with John Mortimer while married. What. The. Heck.
Failed again - 4:3 not 16:9
So what?
A box of chocolates, could have took something more expensive for the cause.
Bloody awful. So unnatural ,uncomfortable , false and pompous.Gloria must have had the best manager to get her anywhere near a T.V.
Gloria's overpolished accent sounds terrible
What a plastic interview?
