No a master cylinder is mounted to the firewall that holds the brake fluid, a proportioning valve puts equal pressure to each brake so the vehicle stops evenly.
@@WorldofWayneUK I do all the wiring in military vehicles and assemble bomb disposal robots. We may get put into lockdown too according to a meeting we had yesterday. You know what governments are like, nothing should be more important than them getting more new weapon systems, not even the wellbeing of those who make them.
Just wanted to say a big thanks! Your videos are what talked me into signing up for the Ecto build which gives me something to look forward to in these trying times. Finally I have a hobby and a little bit of Dad time to work on something that I am truly passionate about. Cheers Wayne!
Now we have the chassis it's going to be fun . The quality of chassis and the left front suspension is very good . I did receive both proton packs tho which kept me busy for a bit lol
Hi Wayne... Our lockdown started now this Fri... So it's day 1 for us here in South Africa... Unfortunately I can't enjoy the leisure of being indoors as myself & the company is deemed as essential services, so we have to go to work as per usual or else certain areas may experience power cuts during this period lol so I guess it's a good thing that I get to "get out" every now & then.
I got 11-14 delivered yesterday morning then my proton packs delivered in the afternoon so you might see them today with any luck. See you tonight on the stream mate 👍
I just signed up for this last Saturday :D my dastardly master plan is that if am a big bunch of issues behind the ones in these vids then it will give me an advanced warning of any problem parts and any mod's from mike lane and model mods :D
Hi Wayne, great vid. if you get impatient for proton packs, happy to send you my delivery and swap later on - if it helps your fan base. I’m up to 14. Those suspension parts of next issues really need their screws fully in. A nightmare of hole prep. Personally I’d say screws are too long as they almost need 100% of available material thickness.
Hey man good to see you're ok and producing awesome bideos as usual! Please you and your viewers try and hold on, ok? Trust me I know how hard the lock down you're facing can be: overe here in Italy we're like that since the 10th and it looks it's just beginning to finally work. And don't worry about the give away, I think we all have other stuff on our minds right now. #staysafe and protect those you love people!😘
im a truck driver and the lock down isnt affecting me and the motorways are empty its wonderful ,on a down side made 60 bottles of homebrew wine but cant get hold of any bottle corks ,so might end up with the terminator wobble
Hi Wayne, it's my first day on lockdown cabbin feaver already kicking in!! I have a problem pronouncing that word chassis to lol. See you tonight on the live stream 😎👍
I have to echo what others are saying. The distributor is likely a brake proportioning valve to meter flow of hydraulic fluid to the front and rear brakes. That notch in the frame might be a relief cut to keep the exhaust from hitting it. You’re saying chassis correctly, it’s “chassee” Definitely have to see this one again to make sure the wires are correct. I might be able to catch some of the livestream today while at work. We’re “essential” but not that busy during the week. I’ll watch the replay when I get home, either way.
I’ve not received 11-14 yet (I’ve done the 12 month plan like you) so haven’t received any proton packs either, I could be wrong but I don’t think there is any extra charge for the proton packs, I think it’s just and extra they send out when they have them?
Ok I was totally wrong 😂 Alex McDonald has just told me you should receive an email telling you they’re taking £19.99 twice around the 4th and 7th delivery (one payment for each set of two packs) I’ve just emailed eaglemoss to double check too 👍🏼
Just a question just recently started the ecto build a couple of weeks ago will the special issues with the proton pacts come automatically or do you need to order separately
There is confusion on if the proton packs come with all subscriptions or just in certain countries, and no one has been able to get a clear statement from Eaglemoss about them yet.
hi, I am writing from Italy where the collection has not yet arrived. Watching your videos I immediately thought that up to now the quality of the Ecto-1 is superior to the DeLorean. Is it just an impression or is it really so? Thank you!
Kit has coil springs coming in the later issues. As far as airbag suspension goes, ford was the first of the big three to offer them in 1957. GM didnt offer them in the 50s nor the 60s. In fact I dont think the first GM offering was till the 80s.
Brake distribution block, so, yes, a distributor. These were brass, unpainted. I don't know, but, I chave alwats called it a CHas-see. People seem to know what I'm talking about. You have number 1 distributor 180 degrees off, should be toward the back of the engine. (Sorry if I was a bit ambiguous in my description.) It should be where #5 is.
Wayne, I'll be asleep for the live stream, so I'll ask it here... What can you tell us about the WW2 Willy's MB the Eaglemoss Die-Cast club is offering for Pre-order in the US? I believe it's had a full release in Germany and France, but that's all I can find on it
If you didn't get charged for the specials then you may want to get on to Zoe or Anabel via the Eaglemoss Facebook page in a private message to find out why not. This'll get you there. facebook.com/EaglemossCollections/
Also, wait until you see the ModelModz proton packs with the lights and sounds. They're working on the things now and they'll blow you out of the water, also also, they'll be completely rechargeable.
I don't think the distributor cap wiring you show is right. I'm not positive though. This is what I found for a 59 caddy: www.oldcarmanualproject.com/tOCMP/wiring/5765wiring%20diagrams/Cadillac/MWireCadi65_3WD-039.jpg Which by your figure I believe looks like this unless I'm incorrect lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/AAPYgY_6YfscTzFeAsBOfwRXiHKS1JJMJOs4UZLlLt8sn0I0wjvOTqlmvJOTqJanCmV6MMD2mrS0QfJZ6k9KlxKLE7-ShA20eMbIYqKSiO5hnNlWsby4pcM__W1PIF4OyCUK8a5s2Z9Pkfg0ghTt2-l93usAgg7o66U-RLex_tbiwMn4uGCDziYAbGRsoqhVTEE Based on the wire diagram 5 and 6 on the cap should be closest to plugs 1 and 2 and plugs 1 and 8 on the distributor toward the rear of the car. Nice & easy build Wayne. Very impressive chassis.
The distributor is likely a proportioning valve that will have a line going to each wheel for the brakes.
Would it likely be called the Master cylinder manifold then ?
No a master cylinder is mounted to the firewall that holds the brake fluid, a proportioning valve puts equal pressure to each brake so the vehicle stops evenly.
It is in fact a proportioning valve

The Delorean was pretty similar. Thanks for the offer Rob. I have been told they are on the way :D
Loving the video’s, I’m still working so not in lock down but these make my morning
Nice framing 👍👍😻😻

Getting on nicely, You are pronouncing Chassis correct. The last s is silent. Great upload again, 'looking just like that' great idea for a shirt. Lol
Got stages 11-14 today. Done 11 then skipped to 13. I really don't fancy facing those distributor leads but know I need to haha
I've got plenty of delightful modeling to keep me from getting bored
great build Wayne do you get by post straight from them or shop and way would be best when paying of it?
These come.directly from HeroCollector. Its entirely up to you what postage schedule you do. Many peeps go for a 12 month up front option
Wayne. In one of your videos you mentioned that you had made a display case. Could you do a video on how you did it.
Made? I cant remember that. What did I say it was for?
World of Wayne think it was for the Delorean or one of the cars. I am interested as I have 2 F1 cars and 2 cars to build and display.
I know Modelmodz make bespoke cases
Just a question just recently started the ecto build a couple of weeks ago will the special issues with the proton pacts come automatically or do you need to order separately
I think they come automatically but I.am still waiting for mine
Does this build come with proton packs? I never saw those. If not where do you get them? Thanks Just got part 3 done btw!!!

Distributor maybe for brake lines.
So how do you get the photon packs?
I think they will be available from the web site soon.
They aren’t part of the subscription?
hi, I am writing from Italy where the collection has not yet arrived. Watching your videos I immediately thought that up to now the quality of the Ecto-1 is superior to the DeLorean. Is it just an impression or is it really so? Thank you!
Yep. Its better
Just out of curiosity, any more news about the part-work 1/47 (18 inch) Star Wars AT-AT do you know?
Nothing yet
I'm not 100% sure if the Miller meteor had airbag suspension like on the other Cadillacs but it could be for that or the brake lines
