If you're underconfident, can't logically justify your stand and answers, can't think on your feet within moments, can't give it back to the selector with tact, then you're unfit for the officer cadre. It's as straightforward as that.
But that is only the interview part of the process, right? Or it applies to all other dimensions such as GTO tasks, where there isn't much interaction among the candidates and the officer in charge!
@@abidullahkhan50 Applies to anyone who is interacting with you. A leader is one not only in the uniform, he is a leader everywhere and no matter what. His persona is such. As a military leader, one MUST stand apart and think many steps ahead of his troops. At ISSB, you don't get to face a unit bigger than a section of men. If one can't deal with a mere section, we can't expect him or her to succeed with the responsibility of command.

@@rajasufyanali67 Thanks, I just mentioned the bare minimum expectations we have of a YO. The process of selecting officers is more or less the same in Pak, Ind, B'desh, & SL. We sometimes exchange notes ;)

Selector’s mood on that particular day also plays a role in selection. If he/she was happy & didn’t have an argument with his/her spouse before coming to work-the candidate has a good chance to make it. Otherwise bad luck. 😂
