Great as always buddy , I also went to school hear in UK from 1997 to 2000 and they always told us use black guide coat , your tip using the colour is great a lot of people including myself would not think of that 😎
Spray I did not go to trade school. All I have learned has come from you and some more good youtubers. I don't know how I could have learned more in trade school than I have learned from you and a few other good youtubers. Thanks for being my good instructor. Phillip Hall
SW, how many hours did you put into the wet sanding job during that 2 day project? I really appreciate the way you make these videos. You work enough real time for perspective and then speed up so we aren't watching a several hour long episode. Thanks for what you do and how you do it!
@@SprayWayCustoms Hey thank you! I'll be working on my VW when the weather clears so being a smaller car I figure I'll be sanding for about 8 hours total. All the best!
You doin your thang big homie, watching you work is therapeutic lol,you have alot of patience, keep going bro, your attention to detail is fantastic. ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼💪🏽💪🏽
There are thousands of paint and body videos and spray way is the only one I am subscribed to because he has earned where he is and hes straight-up for the people that's why it says let's learn together that says a lot about the man he takes pride in his work you never see any other paint and body guys pointing out their flaws I am one of the biggest fans of this dude he shows people that they can do it if you put in the work and to take pride in your work and I always loved how he goes above and beyond the work he has to do straight up good dude
Great stuff as usual! Question: Do you ever have to sand the sealer? Wet sanding the primer takes off the highs and orange peal, but doesn't spraying sealer also introduce orange peal or does it lay flat without the need for sanding?
Very informative video, and cool that you shared some facts about your first pai t job, honestly I would have never been able to tell, your talented and gifted..
I prefer wet sanding to Spray. To me it just makes for a cleaner paint job overall. I love your attention to detail homie. I’ll be just as good as you one day. You are a 🐐! Stay blessed 💪🏾
sure appreciate the priceless knowledge bombs you drop. plus, mad respect for the if ya gonna do the work then do it right work ethic coming from a young fella (i'll be 51 in May this year. if i make it!). i've been learning as i go resurfacing bathroom walls after stripping 2 layers of wallpaper off (base layer was on for longer than i've been alive.) for a project for my Ma's house. drawing inspiration from one of your previous guide coat videos, i went ahead and took an HB drawing pencil (dead middle of graphite hardness) to put small squiggly lines all over before i started the skim coat process. i let the weight of the pencil be the only applied pressure. i've been taking 1 mud pan at a time, mixing in h2o & dish soap to a smooth kinda like cake icing consistency. i'm not trying to make the pencil lines disappear on 1 pass, just been applying the skim coat. let it dry, knock off my high points, and light sand, with a 3M 220/320 sponge for automotive sanding, my blends. repeat the process until i can't see the lines. i'm almost done with this process, and i'll know that i'll have smooth flat walls for when i paint. just gotta give ya credit, and let you know how much i appreciate the value of your channel. thank you sir! ✌️🐝➕ edit: just throwing this out there, but maybe checkout hexagonal led garage lights for replacing your burnouts ✌️🐝➕
Thanks for all the info you gave and by the way you’ll make it to see 51. You’re blessed man. I’ll actually be 50 in December myself 🤫don’t tell nobody though 😂😂
@@SprayWayCustoms sorry, tell who what exactly? on 2nd thought, nevermind. i think i must've experienced a small example of what may be senior moments to come. thanks for the vote of confidence on seeing 51. my thoughts behind that statement are kinda combination of expectation can lead to let down & you never know...if that makes any sense ✌️🐝➕
Been watching your videos now for about 3 years!!! real good shit!!! the way you pay attention is remarkable! is any of these cars yours? man would like to see your car seeing how much you pay attention to others cars.. GREAT WORK.
That’s what it’s all about. I’m waiting on you to give an update on your OBS because I picked up one about 2 months ago. I just haven’t uploaded the video yet

Lot of work dude but this cars gonna straight as a arrow when your done and look good . People will see it looking good to and know it’s been done properly and that’s great for business nice job looking forward to seeing the paint go on it 👌👍
Aint said much for a while, been trying to get my life in order up here. I just have a question for you Sir, why don't you have a shop of your own? Your talent is on parr for sure!
Two words for this episode "Buss In" Nice to see how other people do it. The only thing im wondering is why the soap in the water? I know about the ajax trick for underhood scuffing. Im guessing its for easier sanding but ive never seen anyone do that.
I think the reason you like candy so damn much is one of two reasons 1 you like the punishment if you make a mistake or the second one is your one of those people that someone said you can't do that and you said like hell just watch me Basically you're a person that thrives under the pressure and we all know painting candies and flakes will cause gray hair. Have a good day brother
I love when you've had a long day and then you find something good to watch on TV.
Thanks for the support
@@SprayWayCustoms thank you my man for sharing all your knowledge and being a real down-to-earth cool dude
Definitely better than the crap on TV

Thank you for this informative prep & wet sanding before sealer paint video. A person can not learn enough and I thank you.
Very welcome. Thank you
Sir... wow.

Glad to hear that 🤝

Yes, I’ve always used black myself but if you’re blocking a black car it’ll be some what confusing if you cut below the primer
@@SprayWayCustoms yeah I see , thanks for the pro tip as I’m painting a black car this year a whole different colour
Can't wait to see the results when the car is complete

Great stuff as usual! Question: Do you ever have to sand the sealer? Wet sanding the primer takes off the highs and orange peal, but doesn't spraying sealer also introduce orange peal or does it lay flat without the need for sanding?
You don’t have to sand the sealer. It will be orange peel no matter what but it’s reduced so it’ll lay out much smoother
@@SprayWayCustoms Thanks! Lot learn.
