Bro when I was working for Domino’s they didn’t have enough drivers so I literally made like $1000 a week
Where was this?
Christopher Nevins Reading PA
That's only if you use your own vehicle! Otherwise you get screwed over!
Big Bessie how much hours did you work? And how much would you make in tips
Dude I want your dominos. Mine has so many people the store will be mobbed and the drivers will make like $30-$40 a night. Every so often a lot of people get fired or quit and it goes to $100 a night but then more people get hired the next week.
They killed tips for drivers when they added that $4.99 delivery charge for a 7.99 crappy pizza.
if you don't like the food don't order, if you can't afford to pay delivery charge plus tip then don't order
@@HearMeLearn I don't. I rarely eat pizza but if I do it's from a real pizza place & I tip well. If a chain adds a "delivery fee" that is more than 50% of the cost of the item & then that fee doesn't even go to the driver that's a rip off to both parties is what I'm saying.
Dominoes should pay better wages. Same as servers wanting tips. Stores should pay higgher wage and not rely upon customers for tips. Don't deliver pizza or serve food if you rely on tips
@@back2the80s you say all that, but the only way companies will pay better is if enough of a collective mindset causes people to stop tipping altogether. It has to be enough to create such a severe lack that it results in a blowback of employees quitting or going on strike for competitive wages. It has to be at that level, or else people (some, not all) in this industry will continue to make an actual decent living wage off of these types of jobs and undermine the incentive for companies to pay better base wages to their employees.
I deliver for Hungry Howies in Florida. Drivers get $8.75 an hour plus tips and $1.25 gas money per delivery. The delivery fee is $3.75. I average over $18 per hour.
Work on your Seth Rohan laugh and use it at the door your tips will go up at least 50%

I remember the job as being fast paced. 4 hours can fly by sometimes.
it is
Ain't that the truth
For real tho
Definitely. I covered a shift for someone Sunday, it was an 11:30 AM - 8 PM shift. I remember thinking damn, I only do this on evenings as a side job from my main job so this shift is gonna suck but it flew by mostly. Just sucked in the lull between lunch and dinner rushes.
Good. Lol💕

Million dollar home resident with full size wet bar + multiple horse stable: $49.00 - no tip

Doctor resident(home with pillars) : $32 - 3 dollar tip

Great video bro! I was a bartender and server before my injury and never understood how people can stiff or leave 8 cents. It always seems to balance out at the end though! Keep up the grind 🐻👊🏼
Because that’s your job, ridiculous that customers have to pay you to do your job. Also most bartenders and servers suck! I have plenty of money to tip and yet they only pay attention to the older people or bigger groups. Sometimes they just have an attitude or the service sucks!
@@anthonyrhodes2141 As a Domino’s delivery driver/former busser at a buffet, tips is how we make most of our money. Yes we still have the bi weekly check. Sometimes especially when I was a busser, ppl tipped a few coins or $1. Yeah, it’s our job. But like I said, tips is where most of our money comes from
@@anthonyrhodes2141 bartenders make next to nothing without tips. If commission was built in your drinks and food would be 20-30% more expensive to compensate. Most of them work their asses off. The only reason they make any money is because most people are not as selfish and ignorant as you.
I always tip $5 to the delivery driver.
It is awesome to see in person.
Thank you for making this , very helpful
bro awesome video. makes me wanna change from csr to driver !
I worked a side job delivering pizza.
DO NOT be that person who doesn't tip. The drivers will remember you. I have 0 doubt they mess with the food.
If you tip well. Drivers will remember you. They will deliver to you first. People who don't tip get their food last. They whine about it taking so long 🤣. I literally would pass their house to deliver to a known tipper 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I'm doing the same thing. I keep getting laid off. Hoping this will be stable
@@benpainter6874 Pizza is always stable!
You're so pretty
One of the reason I think we’re getting stiffed is because they think that $4.62 delivery charge is going to the driver. They need to clarify that with the customers that no that does not go to the driver
14 an hour out here in Florida,, I got an interview later for delivery driver wish me luck guys!!
I work for pizza Hut here in Mesa, AZ. Love when you get $20 or close to within the first hour. That's when you know it's going to be an ok night.
Just got a job as a driver. I used to do Uber and make $100 a day and $400 dollars a week making $20 dollars more a day than I was at my cashier job. I’m hoping this job pays even more than both of them with the tips and wage combined.💛💛💛

In the 90s I delivered for Pizza Hut as a secondary job once I learned the area I was fast and knew the tippers and non tippers. Best night was 135 for an 8 hr shift plus 6.50 per hour
THATS ALOT OF MONEY Bck then

Jesus what time does the sun set in this video 😂
i said the same thing LOlol
In Soviet Russia, delivery driver tips you
For $16 dollars an hour that's better pay than the absolute BS I went through with home meal delivery. And WAYYYY better pay than an auto parts delivery driver which is essentially the same as pizza delivery, but no tip.
One thing I didn't hear him say is that all credit card tips come out of your paycheck they listed as wages already learned so the more the customers pay you the less Domino's has two
That’s not true your taxes on card tips as if it was income say you make 750 in wage and 750 in card tips when your direct deposit hits it will only be the 750 in wage -25% of 1500 so only like 500$ direct deposit your employer takes out the taxes for you so u don’t have to at the end of the year
Love the video. They care if u film about their deliveries? Own stuff i get but always wonder I'd they could say something about that. Cool video
Im assuming management would've said don't do that but they can't exactly stop him, he's not showing anyone's faces or anyone's info

@@Thegoat-4L welp, time to deliver for dominos..
I made about $20 an hour in 2002 just driving part time for dominos. They didn’t have “delivery fees” that kind of screwed up good tips when that started and I don’t blame customers for tipping less because of that even though the drivers don’t get it. That’s the companies greed
Yeah but you had cheap people who wrote the check for the exact amount and put a dollar with it
Mom and pop shops will earn you more. The delivery areas are generally smaller than the big chains, the food is generally less expensive (not counting promos), so customers have a few extra dollars to tip. I've worked for both and wouldn't even consider a national chain again.
Hey bro it's Matt lol. Yeah I might apply at Dominos.. I just moved to Barnegat and there's 1 about 5 minutes from here.
$16+ an hour seems about right. I used to do full time delivery for a pizza chain that shall not be named, and would earn between $15-$18 an hour for 8-10 hour shift. In the current town that I live in, I ended up doing it again for just a part time side hustle and the local economy/customer demographic is very different to the last town. I've pulled $17.8 an hour for a recent long shift, but I'm more likely to pull $16 an hour on a decent long shift and as little as $13-$14 an hour on a short shift.
Do you have to do something else inside restaurant? Or only deliver pizza?
@@jamest163 it works like any restaurant, so you have side tasks to do when it’s slow and you have to do things like cut and box the food as it’s coming out. You usually have an out task like sweeping or dishes. A lot of places will also have you answering the phone. When it’s busy, it’s just in and out.
Im a driver in a small town I love it:) I do 40 miles and 15 deliveries on a slow night in 5 to 6 hours
Usually leave with 40 in just tips on a Slow night.. the most I made on a holiday was 145..
passionateandloyal that's not bad at all. Those tips really help us out a lot. During the start of covid I was making like $20 but it jumped back up afterwords. Good luck to ya
16.50 an hr aint bad..good job on the video..blessings my friend..👍👍
In Oregon you get paid at least min wage plus tip so u would make more than 5 an hour
I own a pizza franchise in Norway. The largest take-away pizza franchise in Scandivania. I work alot of hours my self, and we can go days, maybe weeks without tip.
Last year the government passed a law so i have to pay minimum 167nok(19,53usd) an hour to my employees, it is killing my business...
Wow that's crazy....
20 USD minimum wage LOL. It's almost like Scandinavian countries have pretty delicate economies set up only for themselves and when you bring in a million migrants a year the system collapses in on itself. All according to plan.
You.you need to move to a free country my friend and leave that socialist paradise
What is your franchise called?
Its hard to pay people enough so that they can live on their own. You poor poor soul.
I worked this job its a hustle its the grind for me atleast learned to tip delivery driver from empatht
Do you guys also get mileage? I work at a Dominos in Illinois. We get 3.75 per delivery
In the Midwest ten years ago I made an average of 3.40/run per tip plus mileage and wage
I was doing Uber for around 9 hour shifts and would make around 140, if I went the extra mile I’d get 200+. There were some bad days but otherwise I’d compensate by getting the missing money the next day. I learned that affluent neighborhoods tip wayy better so try working in those areas. I’d sometimes get 17 dollar tips! I made 1200+ consecutively in 2 weeks, but unfortunately I let my father use my account, and used his own face on the facial recognition verification, and my account was banned. I’m hurting rn, door dash fucking blows

Omg sweet ride
Love the yard omg gorgeous flowers etc....
This happens soooooo much. Whoever orders the food originally will put a tip on the order at the time of ordering. And once I get to the door the husband or someone else answers and doesn't know about the tip that was included. So they too me again. I got double tipped 3 times yesterday. Each time they had 3 dollars on the order for me already and when I arrive they give me another five dollars. It's just the greatest. I made like 165 dollars just in tips (cash),(not weekly hourly pay) yesterday working from 10:30 to 8. Its the easiest job I've ever had and us delivery drivers make the most money in the entire store except our general manager which is on salary for like 45k per year. I usually make 25,000-30,000 a year and all I do is listen to podcasts and music... basically no extra work.
You get to just hang out at the store and wait for deliveries? We have to do literally everything the insiders do when we don't have a delivery.
konohahurricane07 LOL Unlucky
Does all the online tipping go directly to the drivers? Or does the company take some
All to the driver
dominos wanted to charge me 4.99 for delivery why don't they pass the buck to you?! I shouldn't have to pay 2 times
They charge because they pay our gass.. We only get the tips u give us. We deliver in rain snow and extream heat. U would be paying ur own gass if u came and got it.. Js

nice video - I'm looking into the day shifts - how much per hour does Dominoes pay aside from tips ?
Back in the 90s, when I worked for Russ's restaurant as bus boy, I was getting paid by the hour. There was a waitress assigned for the area. People sleep on mileage reimbursement. If your car has great MPG, you make a great return on gas. For me it is a 4 to 1 ratio on gas costs. I realize you have wear and tear and whatnot, but that extra well more then makes up for anything you may need to do like oil changes and tires.
Respect for what you do, but relying on the generosity of customers is a huge gamble because we all know customers/the public are majority uncaring.
How does the gas situation work do they pay the gas or do you and the mileage
xpac86 you get a Milage pay no gas pay
Dominoes pay mileage also. I think he forgot that. Currently .30 cents per mile.
When you wait for a delivery are you able to just wait in your car? Or do you have to go wait in the store?

Since Domino's has decided to pay us drivers $0.44/mile which is under the Federal rate. I have seen class action lawsuits from franchisees that are under paying the per mile rate. Is Domino's allowed to pay less than Federal rate?

Worked with the same company for nearly seven years in Arizona. Granted, I worked mostly full-time. I made over $40,000.00. there. I think it has a lot to do with where you work. That, and being a consummate professional! Things like, attitude, demeanor, (even a small clipboard for people to sign on, with a nice pen) and more! “Selling yourself” and the extra mile you go through to make every experience a great one matters much!
I've heard Domino's makes more than Papa John's.
I'm a Domino's delivery driver that covers 3 decent size towns.every once in a while we don't have any drivers and I have made upwards of 175 a night.during lockdown we basically only had 1 day driver and 2 night drivers.not only was I making a killing in tips and miles I was working about 60 hours a week.u do have days that I don't really make anything.
Homeboy look like a chubby seth rogan. Take a shot every time he says Hey guys.
I'm always wondering, what if the customer paid by card while placing the order & do you just hand the pizza over or does the company give you something where they can pay to use their card?
cause I still work for Instacart, Grub Hub, Postmates, & Door Dash but I need a real 9 to 5 & earn more money (thinking about full time job since I already graduated from high school) & I do want to be a pizza delivery driver eventually since I've been wanting to do it for a long time
You can make more money doing DD & Grubhub than a regular 9-5, if anything invest in yourself & get some schooling. Maybe do a trade like electrician or hvac, start out @ 50,000 after your apprenticeship. Idk your plan but Invest in yourself don’t just work to get a quick dollar 🤞🏽🙏
So all you get is $5 an hour plus tips, do you get any mileage pay and do you have to do any other work besides deliver and how many miles did you drive that night?
*...In 2006 & 2007 I made $50,000 dollars a year, 2 years in a row, when I worked about 80 Hours a week driving...*
Wow ...
I just finished an interview at papa johns and online they claimed to pay $19-$20 an hour but told me that they’re actually paying $7.75 and the rest comes from tips.
I’ll work here for a month and if I’m not making a steady $18+/h then I’ll most likely quit.
I work for a pizza shop. privately owned pizza shop, not a chain like dominos, papa Johns Etc. Just a regular pizza shop, the area is very nice and very generous residents.
I work a total of 45 hours sometimes less because I leave early
Thursday 10 AM - 9 PM
Friday & Saturday 10 AM - 10 PM
( We close 1 hour later since those are the busiest days )
And Sunday 10 AM - 9 PM
I get payed $9 Hour from 10 - 3 ( $45 )
during that time I have to make boxes, fill up the fridge with drinks and help out inside the shop and after 3 PM I just do straight up deliveries only. I get payed $3.15 / PER Delivery and keep 100% of my tips. Friday’s I average about 40 deliveries all day, sometimes I make up to $400+ in one day because tips are very good 👍
Obviously not everyone tips a lot, it varies but if you were to average it out at the end of the day, it’s as if each person tipped me $7
I average about $1,300-$1,500 a week and I have Monday - Wednesday off, sweet 3 days in a row.
You really thought papa johns was gonna pay you 20 dollars to be a delivery driver ? You may need to lower your standards in jobs if that is what you’re expecting
SO HOW DID IT GO?
Im a dominos driver in washington state we make $13.50 minimum wage, 33 cents per mile, plus tips.
4-5 hour shift Ill drive 40-60miles and earn $50-80 in tips.
8+hour shift drive 100+ miles and earn $90-150 in tips.
Averaging $25-45 per hour.
Nice priorities delivery tips vs duds
I worked for dominoes here in Austin and going to the domain multiple times without getting tips made me quit, if anyone know what the domain is, and you don’t get tips you’ll see why i quit
Can you be a delivery driver and use a motorcycle or do they only allow you to use a car for deliveries
what do you do when your not delivering?
I worked a 10 1/2 shift today made $245 in tips and they pay us $8.65 p/h ..came out to just about $32 an hour.
As a delivery driver do you have to pay for your own gas?
