I once attended a funeral on the Isle of Skye, many years ago. It was a tragic death of a local girl. The islanders gathered together in the family home and the Hebridean psalm singing bonded the community together in shock and grief. It was amazing to be a part of it and to hear the emotion in the voices. The singing does sound like the ocean , it’s so beautiful just like the scenery and the people of the islands.
if you click 'more' in the video description, its all there. There is film to go with this (it was a TV programme). Try this link (there may be better quality video if you search further.) ruclips.net/video/edy2QlP_jaU/видео.html
