Yes. In Japan they got the habit of laughing with www and 'kusa' 草. www because the verb to laugh starts with W (warau). The standard is 3 w but if you have more than 3 it means you're laughing more or louder. Kusa means grass and they laugh with that too because www looks like grass (yeah idk I guess if you look really hard at www you can imagine grass)
