Been waiting for this one. As someone who is relatively new to Arknights, this series has been a godsend so far, appreciate the hard work.
Kukki doing gods work!!!
G'day mate
@@ryzu198 g'day

Hope you have fun playing arknights dude! Its kinda boring at the beginning with limited resources + only few operators to play with. Once you start building more and more operators, the game exponentially becomes more fun as you have more things to play and strategize with.
I like to point out another point about skill rank and operator level. As I learned from playing WoW, no matter how high was one's dps, if he is dead, his dps is ZERO!.
Raising an operator's level is not limited to attack boost, also boost max health and defense, which are keys to surviving and contributing dps.
For a more stable squad I recommend having your often used operators at least on E1 lvl 50, you can clear most stuff with that and you can prioritize anyone you want to build with less worries of not being able to clear stages.
25:35 Zafang cameo lets GOOOOOOOO
This one explaining how important skill level and how expensive and unnecesary it is to max e2 units is exactly what I need to teach new players.
Tip: Dont overlevel your operators. Keep them at L69 or something.
L60 can be a must if you want to see the operators 2nd record.
There’s also module where your need operator to be L40-60 depending on the rarity.
I started playing on March 22nd and I still remember that there was a login event that gave you a free Pinecone skin, but the duration of the event didn't allow me to get all the prizes.
It's a shame because I like that Pinecone skin, I wish I had played this game earlier
@@ZuoLee It’ll come back in several months
there are some ops that *do* benefit from the extra stats tho (Mudrock/Skalter)
@@kukkikaze oh really, i'm so glad to hear that! thank you
One thing I'd like to add here is to keep in mind auto deploys when upgrading ops. There are cases when offensive recovery ops may kill an enemy faster because of its increased stats. You may think that's good thing (it is, btw) but killing enemies faster means less hits to that enemy for your offensive recovery op which eventually translates to its skill not activating at proper times in the autodeploy.
This also another reason why you should levelup your ops skill level after promotion because it prevents this event from happening (tho maybe not entirely).
Been playing Arknights for nearly 2 years and I still wished this video was available to me back when I first started. I had to learn so many things the hard way and even followed some not so useful advice by a certain ex-Arknights youtuber, just because I didn't know any better at the time.
Anyway, I'm really happy newer players now have the privilege of watching such an informative and well made video to help them kickstart their Arknights journey!!
By any chance, was you guiden by Tectone?
@@swame I wouldn't say I was guided by him because I took way more inspiration from Kyostin, but I did place some importance on his opinions when it comes to his reviews for certain operators. Now, Shoyuu is my one true god🙏
@@anonymouslyrandom1075so kyoshin was misleading?
Props for Kukki and the editors for the effort they put in for this beginner guide series. Clear explaination with visual examples! Great Job Everyone!
Thanks for the guide, kukkikaze. About the leveling e2 operator to 90, events are a special place for them. It depend on the events though. Events have event tokens that I get by just playing the event stages and exchange it in the event shop for lmd and level-up tickets. I always get the mats from event shop because it save some sanity for building e2 mats.
Been playing for 2 years yet I find this really entertainment and also resourceful for info, glad to have you in our community helping out the new players to enjoy the game better
Thank you so much for creating this series. It's so useful and easy to understand I wish I was able to watch when I first started :)
Very informative video, especially the comfort level and importance in leveling skills, thanks for the hardwork!
I do hope arkpedia about gacha will cover pity across banners because I could not for the life of me find any info about it except limited not being transferable, so I just assume the rest share the same pity
It's been an interesting journey helping my friend with these concepts after they E2-90 s3m3'd their SilverAsh right away and wondered why they still couldn't clear a lot of stages xD
It's so counter-intuitive to so many gacha games they've played before, it's really difficult to rewire your own brain to this system.
I hope this series continues. I've been playing almost a year now, but I still remember how lost I felt when I first started and how many mistakes I made that made the game much harder for me. You're a good educator.
Looking forward on the next episode! Pretty much I enjoy it just by relearning this, hope this will help many new players to build better in their fresh accounts when watching this 🙂
Amazing video ! About 1 week into the game and these 2 vids have been amazing keep up the great work
Just finished watching and cheering for my team in a cheering contest, now I'm here to do the same! Thanks for the guide kukki!
13:02 Kyaaa Skadi moment!
Simping aside, great vid once again, Kukki! Though I'm already technically knowledgeable about most of the basics of AK, I still watched the entirety of the vid! I can see that this guide will be very easy to understand and will be very helpful for a lot of new players!
I need this. I've been playing for quite a while, and I'm still learning a lot. Thanks for the video.
That's very detail and clear! And remind me to my first E2 is Vigna, followed by Myrtle and the others.
Thanks for the great guide kukki!
Thank you for making videos like this man, it's really really insightful!
Even though I played since the very beginning, this one video guide really help me to reach out more of other operators that very few doctors uses. I fairly enjoy using them and gradually expanding my strats even more. Thanks Kukki for the guide
slowly getting into arknights and it's a pretty daunting task since there's so much to learn but these videos are so helpful!! thanks for making them!
Such a fantastic series. From the amazing info, slick editing, great music, and all the little details. This series so far answers so many common questions from new players.
Another operator you can E2 early on is Amiya, since you'll need to build her up to that anyways later in the story.
Currently grateful for this Arkpedia series. With the first episode, I was able to identify which of my operators I should prioritize first.
With today's episode, I now know not to level up my E1 operators past 50 just yet, because I really did have an initial plan to level all my E1 characters to the level cap.
At least I can save resources now.
Looking forward to the account progression episode. I started when the Near Light event was ongoing, so I've been asking myself these past few days what I should be doing when there's no event around.
Really good explanation Uncle Kukki, better than me explaining it to my friends that started AK where I have to manually check their accounts situation, hopefully after sharing this video to them they will be able to manage their account on their own
Great advice in this video. Following this guide will help you well past your first year of playing the Arknights. Even having played since about game launch, I only typically target E2L60 (which was just upgraded from E2L40 because of the module system). I do have some maxed out operators, but I don't think I had any in my first year.
this video is somehow entertains me even though i've been playing for more than a year
Man your content is so good, thanks alot
This was so informative as a new player. Thank you mu guy
Holy Jesus Kukki, there's a lot to do here😂 Arknights got me
Very good guide! Great job!!
As an old player, watching this was kinda interesting. New players will find this a very valuable information source.
Thankyou kukki for an interesting video like this😀
Thank you for your beginner videos about Arknights. I am new and the only person to play this game among my friends so I have no one to teach me. This helps me so much!!!
This was so helpful to me. Thank you!
Helped so much! Thank you!
Just started playing AK... I feel like I was lucky that I started this at this point in time because the Arkpedia series was so helpful for newbies like me. Imagine if I started playing this without these helpful guides. Will be tough for me.
1st comment? Vigna E2 when?
Super helpful guide even for a veteran player such as myself as this actually reminded me of the basics. Also, a round of applaud for kukki for the actually promoting a 6 star for a video so that he can show an example to the newer/early players out there in the ak community, just imagine the ammount of time and effort he used in making this video
also one thing is that when you clear a stage with Support unit, you can"t use Auto deploy. Which mean you will have to manually clear the stage again without support unit so that you can farm the material on said stage
High quality content so useful
Can't wait for the 3e Ep !
Thanks alot for these vids, they're a godsend for newbies. I myself realized all my operaters skill level is at 3 not 4.
This is awesome. Interesting for a new player like myself.
Probably the most important video I’ve watched on this game. I never liked gachas until I found this game!
It's crazy to think that some players will simply level up their operators and not even glance at the skill upgrades. Granted, after watching a couple of streamers, there are a lot of people who don't have the attention span to read any kind of description, let alone explore every option on screen.
Great vid, Kukki! Looking forward to the next one!
Amazing video, thank you very much❤️
This is an extra detailed guide I jst stop myself from makin a mistake thnk you very mich
11:15
I think you mean to say 'Deployment Points reload at 1 per second', since SP can recharge differently (Funnily enough, Jackie's S1 is exactly one of those skills). I feel like making a distinction between the types of SP recovery and how impactful a SP cost reduction is in each type might also be helpful, though it might be getting a bit too detailed as well. Overall, great video!
Note for leaving operators at Elite 1 Level 40.
Most of the times it will NOT be worth it, if they're not 3 stars.
Most 4 stars and 5 stars, and even some (a lot) 6 stars actually have lower stats than an Elite 1 Level 55 3 star.
So if you're just starting, level all your 3 stars to E155 first.
Then look into your higher rarity and know most of them will need level 55 or 60, some even higher level, to outperform 3 stars.
Example Jessica and Gavial for the most part will be overpowered by Kroos and Hibiscus unless they're at least Elite 2 Level 40.
Even though i can be considered a veteran in this game this video series is pretty good for reviewing basic knowledge
Planning to have another acc. And this Arkpedia series of yours are helping out. thank you!
Thanks! Some very good advice.
Ayyyyyye I clicked as soon as I saw the EP2~
Thx for the rulebook, 1 month player here now I know my mistakes
Godly Advice my guy
very useful thank you !!
I don't need this at all, but per usual I watch to support. and I am happy to see Jackie get the spotlight. (altho you didn't e2 her, how dare)
As a max m6 Jackie haver, this generally pleases me.
Wonderful. - also felt super clear for new people as always! I'll continue to refer said people to these videos.
One thing I learned and kept doing when I started to Play Gacha Games was I always choose Ups Skills over LvL. Also I have learned that it's better to E2 4 Star 1st than 6 Star. That was my 1st Mistake Playing Arknight
i wish i had seen this video year ago when i started playing arknights 😂😂 a month ago i started a second account by focusing build the 4stars & 3stars operators first eventhough i have some nice 6 stars like silverash, siege, and iffrit 😅, and i would say its quite efficient in resources management. bc this game is a team strategy, so its better to have 6 operators in level 40 than 1 operator in level 60 but 5 operators in level 10 😅😅😅.
thank you for sharing this kukki, kudos!
Not disagreeing in general, but those player posting Ling soloing a stage probably disagree a lot. ;)
@@spamrme1654 people with enough brain to use Ling wouldn't be struggling on levels either way
Thank you for these videos !
I'm far from being a new player (practically day1), but I still play like one, because I never played any gacha/strategy game like Arknights and had no idea what to do... I think I made a few people cry when showing them my lv90 E2 skill level 1 Hoshiguma when I barely even touched other other operators (don't worry now, I'm trying to get better and better level up other operators !)
WHAT at least give her skill level 7!!
21:09 ah this reminds me of how I build my Ops back in CC beta and kukikaze is perfectly explaining my pain at that time. Its a very costly mistake
Tip: Level up operators in all classes and if possible, all branches, in the game.
All are useful and reaching hard stages without a build operator of a class you'll need will make it near impossible to get through.
Without the right branch is doable, but having the right branch also simplifies things.
Guards, snipers and casters may deal great damage, but only defenders can hold back an onslaught of incoming damage.
And yes guards and defenders have great hp but without medics, they can die pretty quickly in harder stages.
Yup, I definitely made some rookie mistakes but now I know. Thank you.
I already know all you said, but is good to have a great updated guide for newbies
Edit: i ever raise my e2 to lvl 50 but maybe I will take your advice, i just like how the 50 looks xD
Now time ta wait fer the farmin guide
thanks kukki!
Thanks for the guide Kukki I was about to do a second account
Thanks really I appreciate the video helpful
I’m currently on the grind. Trying to figure out my own effective strategy for each situation.
Thanks!
16:05 Blitz a 5* operator that has a 2nd talent on e2.
Probably more too, but he’s just someone I listed on the top of my head.
Edit: Shalem and Heidi also has 2 talents.
So far basing on this vid, the only mistake I've done is maxing out my e2 operators, but so far all I do is collect resources and once I feel like moving on to the story or if there are materials that I need that isn't available in my current status, I just go for it by using my well-built 6* operators (Bagpipe s3m3 for dmg support, Nightingale for Res and healing support)
Since I stopped playing during the first run of Penguin Logistics event,i missed a lot of events and banners, especially im also late from the party too. That's why I've been prioritizing E2-ing my 6*'s to at least help me do a quick run till I've reached the latest part of the game.
Aight, I really need to bring my Myrtle I just got a couple of days ago to E2 asap, thanks
As for the question on which level you leave them to, 1557 (E1Lv55Skill7) is the bare minimum if you want to a grab-n-go experience with the operator (enough as generic unit for their function, such as marksman, arts caster, or defender)
For operators that are special response to boss/Elite enemies (such as Physical DPS like SilverAsh, Exuai, Arts DPS like Eyja, Surtur), those unit's Matery is more impoertant that their level.
For Lane holder (Such as Throns, Blaze, MudRock, Mountain), every bit of stat count; some of them even requireE2 to be usable. the recommandation is to raise them to E2 60 to E2 70, but give proper mastery to their corresponding skills.
Generally Leave them at 2603 is a good place, as it take more resource to raise them to the top from 260X to 290X than the entire resource from E0 Lv1 to E2 Lv60
however some skill has major improvement even just at M1 or M2; so that is something
Before module was released I raised my operator to E2lv40 (with this lv i beat CC#3 risk 30 and CC#4 risk 29). After module came out increasing lv operator at the condition to unlock their module (6* at lv60, 5* at lv50, 4* at lv40). right now I have 74 E2 operators and 70 masteries 3 for 2 years
16:04 Amiya doesn't get a _2nd_ talent, she still has only one talent at E2 (albeit the strongest one in the game)
For some reason, people think that because Amiya's talent changes name at E2, she has two talents. Defender Nearl does the same thing, but nobody says she has two talents.
Even now at doctor level 50 I still watch it to get some insights
Just to mention, you dont need to E2 Gravel and Red because of the deployment cost, leave them at e1 max lv and it fine
So, the point of this video is
"Skill > level"
Make sure to equally level your operator's in the team and atleast have one E2 operator so that you can access the support units that are E2 instead of E1.
Even though that E2 Op is a low rated one?
@@Frdnnd yep. Most people have Myrtle as their first E2. But any other 4 stars works as well as a budget first E2
@@Amaryllis6731 I dedicated my whole first 40 ranks in arknights leveling up Ling AHAHAHA IM A SIMPPPP
And here I am stuck for 1 year with 3-3-3 base just daily collecting LMD 45k/full proc with almost all Operator at E1Lv55 (except some useful unit and limited waifu) while also passively grind material from whichever stage / event lol
Should say that amyia is an exception for the 3rd skill
For an early squad buildup, it is best to have atleast one or two six/five stars, and the rest would be four and three stars. The latter is easier to build and are pretty reliable on some occasions. So, you don't have to have like a full set of six or five stars to make a strong squad when there are four stars that can work well (I.E Myrtle)
Just level up Myrtle to E2 then your all good.
I just realized this. Support units with S3 will turn into S1 when there are no E2 operator in the squad
I swear this guide is gonna make your great grandmother know how to play
Is that a good thing or a bad thing
@@kukkikaze this means that it's very detailed and easy to understand
Good job
thank you for the videos its really help can i ask you how i can play it on PC
Let's goooo
Well minimum a safe fund to elite one is Level 50 more than 50 LMD needed kinda quite expensive so used it wisely.
But i am gonna recomended you max Elite1 60 for 4 Stars Operator.
You can Elite 2 them if :
1. If you like the Operator and have knowledge to use it
2. Get free 200 Orundum from Paradox Simulation
3. They have modules (Some module improve the operator that other operator but still every module has unique ability)
4. Base or skills/talent improving (Mastery teaching/factory/LMD master of negotiation)
To be noticed :
Elite 20 Level 60 is minimum to handling end game content mostly CC with highest difficult if you gonna explore.
Well of course there's a guide too if you want, and you can check it.
If I remember correctly, you have a video talk about Mastery before right?
Last episode: "This video is very long, 30+ mins, don't worry, next episodes will be 10-15 mins." - kukki
Next episode: 27 mins. 🤣
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the guide, thanks a lot it helps me a lot as a new player
When I started AK I never want to elite 1 any op on early game bcs I thought it will reset the stat like some game that I had played before
Im currently level 35 and I finally e2 my Texas alter✨✨
My mistake i level up her max level instead of lvl 30😔
Veterant player watching this, ls still entertaining☺️
Im actually blessed on how this game's dupe works... Its good thing if you get one but entirely you dont really need it... Even tho some ops are actually a must to have these dupes if you're gonna play high risk cc like bagpipe
Unlike lets say another game that is PGR the dupe works is entirely different and getting one or 3 dupes can make the game feels different on how it plays and a must if you want to get high scores
But still dupes as potentials in Arknights is a must if they're your waifus... Just like my Nearl lol
I thought that potential is some kind of gigachad upgrade so I spend 2 5-star select ticket to get pramanix p2 and now I'm not even using her lol.
2 years.... and only now i know that e2 lv1 stat= e1 lv max stat
is there an episode where it would to about skins and whether they're important or not? 'cause im a new player and im tempted to buy Exu's skin but the Originium is limited so i dont know if it would be a waste as new player to buy skins at early game.
also, thanks for this guides and i'd be looking forward to the next ones.
Yea! There is in the future
