  • In this webinar, we discussed the business case of circularity integration, practical approaches for businesses to integrate circularity into product development, and provide tangible examples.
It is often said that 80% of a product’s impacts are determined early in the design phase. This is the key point in time when it is decided which business model the product will support, as well as the materials that will be sourced, how and how long it will be used, and how the materials can be recovered at the end of life.
It is clear that to develop circular products, this is a critical moment to affect change. But how to realise this change is not always so clear, and therefore an area this webinar aims to shed light on.
The need to integrate circularity has never been greater, both from an impact perspective and also because of the business advantages. This includes:
    1. Improving strategic performance by developing products aligned with climate and sustainability goals
    2. Improving their resilience by designing products that can take advantage of alternative business models
    3. Reducing risk by improving readiness for new regulation including the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR).
