I felt the holy spirit today in the morning! It was the best thing that happened to me, especially in the morning! Felt as if I was electrocuted! It is very very overwhelming! And it showed me a vision as if something was perishing, like the wickedness was going away, saw like a woman just sinking down looking disappointed! I before I went to sleep I was just saying to my self " no one can take me away from Gods hands nor his Son! If tired, a sword will come of Jesus mouth and will be slain!" Moments later, felt it!

I don't know if I have ever felt as though I was elcetricuted when the Holy Ghost came upon me, but it indeed brought about tears of joy, praise unto the Lord and thankfulness down in my heart. (Those are just a few things off the top) The presence of the Lord is the best place to be! Perhaps you should take what you saw to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to give you a revelation of what you saw. I didn't quite understand some of the things that you made mention of, but God is able to clarify. Be blessed and keep staying before the Lord.
Yes I was laying in my bed and I spent all day that day reading the word I ask God to I submit my life to you for what you want with it I know your real come to me Jesus and that night I felt this electric shock I held my hands up and yelled out God and I felt this calm come over me

Great testimony. You are doing great ! I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit & spoke in tounges as the Spirit of God gave utterance 29 years ago and I am still speaking in tounges. The Holy Spirit is God and He is a person but not an it. I am sure you do know that. You can also talk directly to the Holy Spirit and ask him to intimately commune & fellowship with you & He will. Be encouraged. You sound like a really nice person.

The Holy Ghost IS a gift that is given from God according to Acts 11:17 which declares Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? (KJV) and Acts 10:44-45 which says, While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the GIFT of the Holy Ghost.The evidence that the Holy Ghost is given is the tongues according to Acts 2:4. Now there also is the GIFT of divers kinds of tongues as well as the interpretation of tongues. (Diversities of GIFTS). 1 Corinthians 12:4 declares, Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. (The Holy Ghost) Also 1 Corinthians 12:10 says, To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another DIVERS KINDS OF TONGUES; to another the interpretation of TONGUES. If I may, I would recommend reading all of 1 Corinthians chapter 12 for clarification. My MAIN point out is that the Holy Ghost IS a gift and that there also is diverse kinds of tongues. (Gifts Also) I wish for no one to be confused. The bible also declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Also there are other references in the Bible that clearly talk about the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. See Acts 2:38. It was suggested to me by my mother to give you the scripture of receiving the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. According to Acts 19:1-6 which will also help. (Also Acts 9:17) I hope this helps and will clear up any confusion about my video. I simply gave my testimony of HOW God filled me with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. (The Gift) Please take this in, as this is very serious and MANY need to understand the importance of these things, according to The Word of God. I do know that the Holy Ghost is a gift only in that we do not have to buy it or work for it. the unknown tongue is what I was saying is not a gift but comes with the Holy Ghost. I was baptized in the Holy Ghost about 15 years ago while laying in bed. I felt a peace and seen a light above all at the same time. I received this when in my heart I repented (turned away from my sin)..I can still pray in tongues today but I don't know how it works for others. Stay encouraged though,,all His promises are YES!! Stay encouraged and keep seeking. If you seek him, you shall find him if you seek him with your whole heart!

Don't get discouraged! Keep persevering! My Mother would always tell me "Get you some spiritual side boards" ( Block out the distractions) Especially when your at Church on the alter. I had to as well, I went through that same thing of worrying about who was watching me, (I sometimes still do) But you just give God the praise, and receive the blessings that He has for you. Think on how much you want the Lord more! More than anything or anyone! Hang in there, you can make it and you WILL receive!

I read a Tyndale bible it have everyday readings and prayer it break down every thing and breaks it down again. It explains everything two times. It also has proverbs and palsms reading everyday.
If your saved you ALREADY have as much of the Holy Spirit as your going to get!(Titus 3:5-6) The book of Acts was the beginning of the dispensation of the Holy Ghost. And the "tongues" everyone spoke in was other human languages, not some weird emotional gibberish. People need to honestly study Gods word and stop looking for the "emotional" highs! I'm not saying not to be passionate about God. Just don't fall into hype and emotionalism.
Tongues is not other people lauguage. Tongues is the lauguage of god that's how the angels know who they are talking to. The angels work for jesus they deliver the message to him. The lord here our plea when we ask to be fill up with the holyghost then he answers. Some people in the world would say you don't have to be fill up with the holyghost to get prayers answered , that's true but the Baptist is saved by ignorance by believeing and having faith .because they do not know about tongues. 1901 Charles F. Parham originated the doctrine of initial evidence that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues. It was this doctrine that made Pentecostalism distinct from other holiness Christian groups that spoke in tongues or believed in an experience subsequent to salvation and sanctification. During 1906 Parham began working on a number of fronts. In Houston, Parham's ministry included conducting a Bible school around 1906. Several African Americans were influenced heavily by Parham's ministry there, including William J. Seymour. Both Parham and Seymour preached to Houston's African Americans, and Parham had planned to send Seymour out to preach to the black communities throughout Texas. In September he also ventured to Zion, IL, in an effort to win over the adherents of the discredited John Alexander Dowie, although he left for good after the municipal water tower collapsed and destroyed his preaching tent. For about a year he had a following of several hundred "Parhamites", eventually led by John G Lake. In 1906 however, Charles Parham sent, with funds, a black woman, Lucy Farrow, (a cook at his Houston school, who had received "the Spirit's Baptism" and felt "a burden for Los Angeles"), to Los Angeles, California, and a few months later sent Seymour, with funds from the school, to join Farrow in the work in Los Angeles, California;. Seymour's work in Los Angeles would eventually develop into the Azusa Street Revival, which is considered by many as the birthplace of the Pentecostal movement. In the black community, William J. Seymour requested and received a license as a minister of Parham's Apostolic Faith Movement, and he initially considered his work in Los Angeles under Parham's authority. However, Seymour soon broke with Parham over his harsh criticism of the emotional worship at Asuza Street and the intermingling of whites and blacks in the services. This, and his support of British Israelism, has often led people to consider him as a racist He also believed in British Israelism, an ideology maintaining that the Anglo-Saxon peoples were the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. In addition, Parham subscribed to rather unorthodox views on creation. He believed God took two days to create humans-non-whites on the sixth day and whites on the eighth. Needless to say, he did not preach Rev 1:14-15/ Hebrews 7:14 and especially Deu 28:1-68 because that would discredit not only about tongues, but mainly that the Anglo Saxon was the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Jesus gave us a commandment on how to pray Matthew 6:7-13/ The Spirit John 6:63/ The gifts of the Spirit Joel 2:28/Acts 2:17. And just think, Charles F. Parham though we could not read :-)
The bottom line on the subject of speaking in " tongues" is that the Word gives three examples of believers recieving the Holy Spirit, Acts ch.2, 8, and ch.10. In all three instances the first thing that happened after they recieved the Holy Spirit is that they spoke in " tongues". Man is fallable. Gos' Word isn't !
At what point did you Repent of your sins as in Acts 2:38 describes? Do you believe you received the HG without a Sorrowful Repentance? Acts 2:38 "Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." and 2 Cor 7:10 "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." The people in acts 2:38 felt that Sorrowful Conviction that leads a Person to Repent of their sins vocally. Like wise we in our Modern time must Repent With that same Sorrowful Conviction. Because without it God will not Forgive your sins.
Hello Mr. Ramirez. Thanks for your comment. I indeed did repent of my sins long before I received the Holy Ghost. Repentance does have to be genuine and I don't want you to get the wrong understanding of my testimony. You do have to be clean inside because the Lord will not dwell in an unclean temple. Your right you do have to repent of your sins and confess your faults. I agree with the word of God Acts 2:38 as you mentioned. The word of God IS right and you are correct. I have noticed a number of believers in this comment section who are seeking the baptism in the Holy Spirit; but, have not received. Jesus tells you how to pray for the Holy Ghost in Luke 11:1-13. In Luke 18:1-8, He further explains how to pray. In Acts 1:14, the disciples continued with prayer and SUPPLICATION (and received the Holy Ghost in the next chapter). STUDY the passages I mentioned above. Get a Strong’s Concordance and look up the meanings of words such as “importunity” (Luke 11:8), “cry” (Luke 18:7) and “supplication” (Acts 1:14). Make sure that when you pray for the Holy Ghost that you are praying the way Jesus said to pray without giving up! You will receive when you obey!

So many people are confused today and they think they have the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues, but they don't have it because they are giving themselves the utterance instead of the Holy Spirit speaking out of them. They don't know the difference so they don't understand when you try to explain it to them. A lot of these churches are telling people to just start speaking and all they are doing is just putting a bunch of silly syllables together which is not a real language, it's just gibberish nonsense. When the real Holy Ghost comes God speaks out, he gives the utterance. For ex. when I was about 10yrs old or so I would try to imitate the other kids in my neighborhood that spoke different languages other than english, so I would put a bunch of silly syllables together trying to sound like them, but I wasn't speaking a real language I was just speaking gibberish nonsense, and this is what some of these people are doing today and they call that speaking in tongues, but it's not at all. They are just giving themselves the utterance instead of the Spirit of God giving the utterance. But let me add this a person is not a true believer, they are not saved until they are baptized with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and so many people are confused about this. The day a person is filled/baptized with pouring out/shedding of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance is when they have received salvation and not before. How right you are that people should not be teaching people to speak in tongues because, It is the Spirit (The Holy Ghost) that gives you utterance according to Acts 2:4 which declares, And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT GAVE them utterance. (Not ok to teach someone to speak in tongues) The Holy Ghost will speak for Himself when you receive the gift. I agree completely with the Word of God in your reference to 1 Corinthians 12:13. However, when you were refering to me being saved, I indeed was saved the day I had mentioned. When I REPENTED of my sins and accepted JESUS CHRIST as my Lord and Saviour and accepted Him in to my heart, I was saved. The Bible declares in Romans 10:9-13, That if thou shalt CONFESS with thy MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION. For scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over ALL is rich unto ALL THAT CALL UPON HIM. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED. I did accept Salvation and Jesus as my personal Saviour. Of course it doesn't stop there because, you then have to TARRY (Wait and seek) for the Holy Ghost. He ( The Holy Ghost) will not dwell in an unclean temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 declares, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man DEFILE the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the TEMPLE of God IS HOLY, which temple YE ARE. In addition, you have to accept Salvation BEFORE you can receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I hope that clarifies....I say this with all kindness and in love. Rom.10:9-13 only says if you confess you SHALL be saved not you ARE saved. The word SHALT is future tense same as it says in Acts.2:38 repent be baptized and you SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, so when you repented and was baptized did you right then received the gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues? No, you did received it after you tarried sometime or some months later. Remember Peter told sinner how to get saved he told them to Repent, be baptized and you shall receive the Holy Ghost, he didn't tell then to say any sinner's pray or accept Jesus as your personal saviour. But of course one has to believe, repent and again they SHALL receive be saved when they receive his Holy Spirit which then puts them into the body. But the Holy Spirit only comes in you when you speak in tongues and not before. This is how the bible tells us we ARE SAVED BY, it says in Titus.3:5-6 He SAVED US BY, not SHALT (future tense) but rather he SAVED US BY which tells us how we are saved. He SAVED US BY the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the HOLY SPIRIT which he SHED/POURED OUT ON US. Titus.3:[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he "SHED" on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; My comment:Who in the bible received the SHEDDING/POURING OUT of the Holy Spirit which the bible tells us we are SAVED BY and how did it happen and what happened? Acts.2:[33] Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath "SHED" forth this, which ye now see and hear. My comment :So according to the bible one is saved when they receive the SHEDDING/POURING OUT of the Holy Ghost same as you did in March. Rom.8:[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. My comment :When one receives the IN DWELLING of the Holy Spirit which they received on Pentecost then they belong to God, then they are saved, if the Spirit does not DWELL in any man, then they are NONE OF HIS. So again when you received the INDWELLING/INFILLING OF THE Holy Spirit which he SHED/POURED OUT ON YOU, according to Titus3:5-6 that's how you were SAVED BY, which took place in March for you. :)

That can't possible be true, because Peter told sinner to repent, so clearly he was not telling saved folks to repent to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. He was talking to the multitude who were sinners who knew nothing about the Holy Spirit at all. Again Peter told sinner to repent be baptized and they SHALL receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit, notice Peter did not tell sinner they had to receive salvation before they could receive the Holy Spirit, because once a person received the Gift of the Holy Spirit they are then saved and I can further prove that by scripture.

Thank you, for sharing this it helps a lot, but I wonder how long you waited and what you had to do to receive the Holy Spirit. I am also very hungry after holy spirit, and have been very long time now. I have prayed about it a lot and I have told several that they may pray for me. all I can think of is to receive holy spirit and it takes energy out of me and can hardly content out longer, but I would like to have advice from you about this. How long it took you, and how it was to wait etc.
Ezekiel Hambissa Hello Ezekiel! Thank you for your comment. If you must know, I got saved in January of 2012 and I received the Holy Ghost March 28th of 2012. I encourage you to read Luke 11:13 (KJV) Surrender ALL and ask the Lord to remove anything or anyone that is in the way of you receiving the Holy Ghost. I encourage you also to read Acts 1:8 and 2:38 and 39. Or you may read the whole chapter of Acts 2. Also, I encourage you to read John 3:5. Continue to read the WORD OF GOD, FAST, PRAY and ASK the Lord to fill you with the Holy Ghost. After asking Him, begin to believe and thank Him for it. I hope this helps. Also please note that it does not matter about how long I waited to receive the Holy Ghost, it is all in God's timing in when HE will give the gift. Wait on the Lord and TARRY. I encourage you, don't give up. The Holy Ghost IS necessary! (very Important and you WILL need it) Hang in there and I will be praying for you.

Hello Jude, thank you for your comment. What I am led to give you is from Thessalonians 5:17 and 19. Verse 17 says Pray without ceasing. And Verse 19 says Quench NOT the Spirit. (The Holy Ghost) So I encourage you to keep praying in the middle of the night when you are woken up and let God have HIS way. I do believe that it's possible that this IS the Holy Ghost, God's spirit and He wants to bless you. If it's something else, God is able to fix it as you continue to pray. He's able to deliver and set you free. (But truly, I don't believe this is a demon) I believe you are feeling the presence of the Lord as you are praying. My people read the Holy Bible to see what people call the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Amen.” (John 21:25) You don’t know what Jesus or his disciples did or DIDN’T do! There is no way to know everything that happened when the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost, because the world could not contain the books that could be written!

I, too, am seeking to be filled with the baptism of Holy Spirit. I understand that speaking in tongues is a language that only God understands and it is to edify the person who is speaking to God. Also, I understand that if one speaks in tongues to the public or any one else, there should be interpretation. Tongues is suppose to be an intelligible language that another one speaks could understand, right? Like in Acts. Otherwise, it sounds like gibberish and does nothing for the person who is hearing. I have watched several RUclips videos with a certain amount of discernment and testing the spirit. I am amazed just how many viewpoints/arguments for and against speaking in tongues there are. How can "followers of Jesus Christ" who serve the one true God and read the same one true Gospel, be so divided in the body of Christ? The many dominations, versions of the Bible, and many different beliefs.
According to bible scholars, in Acts 2, Egypt they spoke Egyptian, Libya they spoke Arabic, Cyrene, Pontu and Medes they Spoke Grecian , Mesopotamia they spoke Babylonian/ Assyrian, Cappadocia they spoke Turkish, Elamites they spoke Akkadian, and in Pamphylia they spoke in Iranian/ Persian. None spoke Charles F. Parham Glossolalia. Proven fact, all the Israelite's that was scattered in Deu 28:64/ Gen 10:5 that came from the locations in Acts 2:9-11. The miracle was the restore the scattered Israelite under one language from Gen 11:7...Deu 30:2-3 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
The word " tongues" ,in the original Greek that the N.T. was written in, is defined as " another language" and " a language" both singular. In Acts ch.2 when the 120 recieved the Holy Spirit they immediately began speaking in one spiritual language. Three times the men in the crowd said " How HEAR we them in our own languages?" This is God's way of letting us know that the miracle for the men in the crowd wasn'tt that the apostles were miraculously speaking in their individual native languages but that they Heard what the apostles were saying in their individual languages. Speaking in " tongues" is what Paul referred to as the " unknown tongue" " that no man knows". If no man knows it then it's not a language native to this world.

If this testamony is true, I can be driving down the street after praying my morning prayer and receive the Holy Ghost which is Not so. Driving doen the street is not spiritual nut flesh and natural. If I was to receive the holy ghost in an atmosphere where the spirit has been conjured for exampl while praying or sing a spiritual song to him then I will receive the Holy Ghost.

All of the Spiritual gifts that he gives us is beautiful snd we Must be in the Spirit to Receive them. I do not think you spoke in tongues while doing laundry. You are Not in the spirit while foing laundry.

I felt the holy spirit today in the morning! It was the best thing that happened to me, especially in the morning! Felt as if I was electrocuted! It is very very overwhelming! And it showed me a vision as if something was perishing, like the wickedness was going away, saw like a woman just sinking down looking disappointed! I before I went to sleep I was just saying to my self " no one can take me away from Gods hands nor his Son! If tired, a sword will come of Jesus mouth and will be slain!" Moments later, felt it!

I don't know if I have ever felt as though I was elcetricuted when the Holy Ghost came upon me, but it indeed brought about tears of joy, praise unto the Lord and thankfulness down in my heart. (Those are just a few things off the top) The presence of the Lord is the best place to be! Perhaps you should take what you saw to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to give you a revelation of what you saw. I didn't quite understand some of the things that you made mention of, but God is able to clarify. Be blessed and keep staying before the Lord.
Yes I was laying in my bed and I spent all day that day reading the word I ask God to I submit my life to you for what you want with it I know your real come to me Jesus and that night I felt this electric shock I held my hands up and yelled out God and I felt this calm come over me

I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit & spoke in tounges as the Spirit of God gave utterance 29 years ago and I am still speaking in tounges.
The Holy Spirit is God and He is a person but not an it. I am sure you do know that. You can also talk directly to the Holy Spirit and ask him to intimately commune & fellowship with you & He will.

Many people do not understand tongues. the tongues you spoke upon receiving is not a gift but is the voice of the Holy Ghost. you are so right . one must receive the Holy Ghost as we are told to repent be baptized and we will be filled with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost IS a gift that is given from God according to Acts 11:17 which declares Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? (KJV) and Acts 10:44-45 which says, While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the GIFT of the Holy Ghost.The evidence that the Holy Ghost is given is the tongues according to Acts 2:4. Now there also is the GIFT of divers kinds of tongues as well as the interpretation of tongues. (Diversities of GIFTS). 1 Corinthians 12:4 declares, Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. (The Holy Ghost) Also 1 Corinthians 12:10 says, To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another DIVERS KINDS OF TONGUES; to another the interpretation of TONGUES. If I may, I would recommend reading all of 1 Corinthians chapter 12 for clarification. My MAIN point out is that the Holy Ghost IS a gift and that there also is diverse kinds of tongues. (Gifts Also) I wish for no one to be confused. The bible also declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Also there are other references in the Bible that clearly talk about the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. See Acts 2:38. It was suggested to me by my mother to give you the scripture of receiving the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. According to Acts 19:1-6 which will also help. (Also Acts 9:17) I hope this helps and will clear up any confusion about my video. I simply gave my testimony of HOW God filled me with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. (The Gift) Please take this in, as this is very serious and MANY need to understand the importance of these things, according to The Word of God. I do know that the Holy Ghost is a gift only in that we do not have to buy it or work for it. the unknown tongue is what I was saying is not a gift but comes with the Holy Ghost. I was baptized in the Holy Ghost about 15 years ago while laying in bed. I felt a peace and seen a light above all at the same time. I received this when in my heart I repented (turned away from my sin)..I can still pray in tongues today but I don't know how it works for others. Stay encouraged though,,all His promises are YES!! Stay encouraged and keep seeking. If you seek him, you shall find him if you seek him with your whole heart!

Don't get discouraged! Keep persevering! My Mother would always tell me "Get you some spiritual side boards" ( Block out the distractions) Especially when your at Church on the alter. I had to as well, I went through that same thing of worrying about who was watching me, (I sometimes still do) But you just give God the praise, and receive the blessings that He has for you. Think on how much you want the Lord more! More than anything or anyone! Hang in there, you can make it and you WILL receive!

How long did it take you from the time you were saved? And how long did you fast and how many times did you fast?
Hi there and God bless you! Thanks for your question. I gave my life to the Lord in January of 2012 and received the Holy Ghost on March 28th 2022. So about 2 months after I got saved. I did fasts from 12:00 midnight 🕛 to 3:00pm. Sorry for this way delayed response and I pray in Jesus name, that your doing well on your journey with Christ!

To live and last in these last and evil days we have to pray in the spirit and pray in regular language and fast also read the bible. I read a Tyndale bible it have everyday readings and prayer it break down every thing and breaks it down again. It explains everything two times. It also has proverbs and palsms reading everyday.
If your saved you ALREADY have as much of the Holy Spirit as your going to get!(Titus 3:5-6) The book of Acts was the beginning of the dispensation of the Holy Ghost. And the "tongues" everyone spoke in was other human languages, not some weird emotional gibberish. People need to honestly study Gods word and stop looking for the "emotional" highs! I'm not saying not to be passionate about God. Just don't fall into hype and emotionalism.
Tongues is not other people lauguage. Tongues is the lauguage of god that's how the angels know who they are talking to. The angels work for jesus they deliver the message to him. The lord here our plea when we ask to be fill up with the holyghost then he answers. Some people in the world would say you don't have to be fill up with the holyghost to get prayers answered , that's true but the Baptist is saved by ignorance by believeing and having faith .because they do not know about tongues. 1901 Charles F. Parham originated the doctrine of initial evidence that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues. It was this doctrine that made Pentecostalism distinct from other holiness Christian groups that spoke in tongues or believed in an experience subsequent to salvation and sanctification. During 1906 Parham began working on a number of fronts. In Houston, Parham's ministry included conducting a Bible school around 1906. Several African Americans were influenced heavily by Parham's ministry there, including William J. Seymour. Both Parham and Seymour preached to Houston's African Americans, and Parham had planned to send Seymour out to preach to the black communities throughout Texas. In September he also ventured to Zion, IL, in an effort to win over the adherents of the discredited John Alexander Dowie, although he left for good after the municipal water tower collapsed and destroyed his preaching tent. For about a year he had a following of several hundred "Parhamites", eventually led by John G Lake. In 1906 however, Charles Parham sent, with funds, a black woman, Lucy Farrow, (a cook at his Houston school, who had received "the Spirit's Baptism" and felt "a burden for Los Angeles"), to Los Angeles, California, and a few months later sent Seymour, with funds from the school, to join Farrow in the work in Los Angeles, California;. Seymour's work in Los Angeles would eventually develop into the Azusa Street Revival, which is considered by many as the birthplace of the Pentecostal movement.
In the black community, William J. Seymour requested and received a license as a minister of Parham's Apostolic Faith Movement, and he initially considered his work in Los Angeles under Parham's authority. However, Seymour soon broke with Parham over his harsh criticism of the emotional worship at Asuza Street and the intermingling of whites and blacks in the services. This, and his support of British Israelism, has often led people to consider him as a racist He also believed in British Israelism, an ideology maintaining that the Anglo-Saxon peoples were the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. In addition, Parham subscribed to rather unorthodox views on creation. He believed God took two days to create humans-non-whites on the sixth day and whites on the eighth. Needless to say, he did not preach Rev 1:14-15/ Hebrews 7:14 and especially Deu 28:1-68 because that would discredit not only about tongues, but mainly that the Anglo Saxon was the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Jesus gave us a commandment on how to pray Matthew 6:7-13/ The Spirit John 6:63/ The gifts of the Spirit Joel 2:28/Acts 2:17. And just think, Charles F. Parham though we could not read :-)
The bottom line on the subject of speaking in " tongues" is that the Word gives three examples of believers recieving the Holy Spirit, Acts ch.2, 8, and ch.10.
In all three instances the first thing that happened after they recieved the Holy Spirit is that they spoke in " tongues". Man is fallable. Gos' Word isn't !
At what point did you Repent of your sins as in Acts 2:38 describes? Do you believe you received the HG without a Sorrowful Repentance?
Acts 2:38 "Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
and
2 Cor 7:10 "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."
The people in acts 2:38 felt that Sorrowful Conviction that leads a Person to Repent of their sins vocally. Like wise we in our Modern time must Repent With that same Sorrowful Conviction. Because without it God will not Forgive your sins.
Hello Mr. Ramirez. Thanks for your comment. I indeed did repent of my sins long before I received the Holy Ghost. Repentance does have to be genuine and I don't want you to get the wrong understanding of my testimony. You do have to be clean inside because the Lord will not dwell in an unclean temple. Your right you do have to repent of your sins and confess your faults. I agree with the word of God Acts 2:38 as you mentioned. The word of God IS right and you are correct. I have noticed a number of believers in this comment section who are seeking the baptism in the Holy Spirit; but, have not received. Jesus tells you how to pray for the Holy Ghost in Luke 11:1-13. In Luke 18:1-8, He further explains how to pray. In Acts 1:14, the disciples continued with prayer and SUPPLICATION (and received the Holy Ghost in the next chapter). STUDY the passages I mentioned above. Get a Strong’s Concordance and look up the meanings of words such as “importunity” (Luke 11:8), “cry” (Luke 18:7) and “supplication” (Acts 1:14). Make sure that when you pray for the Holy Ghost that you are praying the way Jesus said to pray without giving up! You will receive when you obey!

So many people are confused today and they think they have the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues, but they don't have it because they are giving themselves the utterance instead of the Holy Spirit speaking out of them. They don't know the difference so they don't understand when you try to explain it to them.
A lot of these churches are telling people to just start speaking and all they are doing is just putting a bunch of silly syllables together which is not a real language, it's just gibberish nonsense. When the real Holy Ghost comes God speaks out, he gives the utterance.
For ex. when I was about 10yrs old or so I would try to imitate the other kids in my neighborhood that spoke different languages other than english, so I would put a bunch of silly syllables together trying to sound like them, but I wasn't speaking a real language I was just speaking gibberish nonsense, and this is what some of these people are doing today and they call that speaking in tongues, but it's not at all. They are just giving themselves the utterance instead of the Spirit of God giving the utterance.
But let me add this a person is not a true believer, they are not saved until they are baptized with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and so many people are confused about this. The day a person is filled/baptized with pouring out/shedding of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance is when they have received salvation and not before.

How right you are that people should not be teaching people to speak in tongues because, It is the Spirit (The Holy Ghost) that gives you utterance according to Acts 2:4 which declares, And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT GAVE them utterance. (Not ok to teach someone to speak in tongues) The Holy Ghost will speak for Himself when you receive the gift. I agree completely with the Word of God in your reference to 1 Corinthians 12:13. However, when you were refering to me being saved, I indeed was saved the day I had mentioned. When I REPENTED of my sins and accepted JESUS CHRIST as my Lord and Saviour and accepted Him in to my heart, I was saved. The Bible declares in Romans 10:9-13, That if thou shalt CONFESS with thy MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION. For scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over ALL is rich unto ALL THAT CALL UPON HIM. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED. I did accept Salvation and Jesus as my personal Saviour. Of course it doesn't stop there because, you then have to TARRY (Wait and seek) for the Holy Ghost. He ( The Holy Ghost) will not dwell in an unclean temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 declares, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man DEFILE the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the TEMPLE of God IS HOLY, which temple YE ARE. In addition, you have to accept Salvation BEFORE you can receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I hope that clarifies....I say this with all kindness and in love. Rom.10:9-13 only says if you confess you SHALL be saved not you ARE saved. The word SHALT is future tense same as it says in Acts.2:38 repent be baptized and you SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, so when you repented and was baptized did you right then received the gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues? No, you did received it after you tarried sometime or some months later.
Remember Peter told sinner how to get saved he told them to Repent, be baptized and you shall receive the Holy Ghost, he didn't tell then to say any sinner's pray or accept Jesus as your personal saviour. But of course one has to believe, repent and again they SHALL receive be saved when they receive his Holy Spirit which then puts them into the body. But the Holy Spirit only comes in you when you speak in tongues and not before.
This is how the bible tells us we ARE SAVED BY, it says in Titus.3:5-6 He SAVED US BY, not SHALT (future tense) but rather he SAVED US BY which tells us how we are saved. He SAVED US BY the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the HOLY SPIRIT which he SHED/POURED OUT ON US.
Titus.3:[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
[6] Which he "SHED" on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
My comment:Who in the bible received the SHEDDING/POURING OUT of the Holy Spirit which the bible tells us we are SAVED BY and how did it happen and what happened?

My comment :So according to the bible one is saved when they receive the SHEDDING/POURING OUT of the Holy Ghost same as you did in March.
Rom.8:[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
My comment :When one receives the IN DWELLING of the Holy Spirit which they received on Pentecost then they belong to God, then they are saved, if the Spirit does not DWELL in any man, then they are NONE OF HIS.
So again when you received the INDWELLING/INFILLING OF THE Holy Spirit which he SHED/POURED OUT ON YOU, according to Titus3:5-6 that's how you were SAVED BY, which took place in March for you. :)

That can't possible be true, because Peter told sinner to repent, so clearly he was not telling saved folks to repent to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. He was talking to the multitude who were sinners who knew nothing about the Holy Spirit at all.
Again Peter told sinner to repent be baptized and they SHALL receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit, notice Peter did not tell sinner they had to receive salvation before they could receive the Holy Spirit, because once a person received the Gift of the Holy Spirit they are then saved and I can further prove that by scripture.

Thank you, for sharing this it helps a lot, but I wonder how long you waited and what you had to do to receive the Holy Spirit. I am also very hungry after holy spirit, and have been very long time now. I have prayed about it a lot and I have told several that they may pray for me. all I can think of is to receive holy spirit and it takes energy out of me and can hardly content out longer, but I would like to have advice from you about this. How long it took you, and how it was to wait etc.
Ezekiel Hambissa Hello Ezekiel! Thank you for your comment. If you must know, I got saved in January of 2012 and I received the Holy Ghost March 28th of 2012. I encourage you to read Luke 11:13 (KJV) Surrender ALL and ask the Lord to remove anything or anyone that is in the way of you receiving the Holy Ghost. I encourage you also to read Acts 1:8 and 2:38 and 39. Or you may read the whole chapter of Acts 2. Also, I encourage you to read John 3:5. Continue to read the WORD OF GOD, FAST, PRAY and ASK the Lord to fill you with the Holy Ghost. After asking Him, begin to believe and thank Him for it. I hope this helps. Also please note that it does not matter about how long I waited to receive the Holy Ghost, it is all in God's timing in when HE will give the gift. Wait on the Lord and TARRY. I encourage you, don't give up. The Holy Ghost IS necessary! (very Important and you WILL need it) Hang in there and I will be praying for you.

But you said you got saved on Jan.2012 and you received the Holy Ghost March.282012 according to the bible you got saved on March.28,2012 when you received the pouring out/shedding of the baptism of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues and not a day before. If a person have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which according to 1Cor.12:13 puts us into the one body, whose body are they in? How can one be saved if they are not in the body since they haven't received the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

The Bible declares in John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” I was definitely a babe in Christ at the time. Acts 1:3 and 4 declares, And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but WAIT for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. The Holy Ghost was the promise of the Father (God). I just want to encourage you in your WAITING. Remain in that place of seeking the Lord is all I meant. Hello Jude, thank you for your comment. What I am led to give you is from Thessalonians 5:17 and 19. Verse 17 says Pray without ceasing. And Verse 19 says Quench NOT the Spirit. (The Holy Ghost) So I encourage you to keep praying in the middle of the night when you are woken up and let God have HIS way. I do believe that it's possible that this IS the Holy Ghost, God's spirit and He wants to bless you. If it's something else, God is able to fix it as you continue to pray. He's able to deliver and set you free. (But truly, I don't believe this is a demon) I believe you are feeling the presence of the Lord as you are praying. My people read the Holy Bible to see what people call the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. According to the word of God when the disciples received the Holy Ghost they never fell down, they never rolled on the floor, they never foamed from the mouth. Pray for this sister in the video. If the speaking in tongues is the sign that you have the Holy Ghost and are saved how come Jesus didn't speak in tongues when the Holy Spirit fell on him at Hids baptism. The last words of the Gospel of John say:
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” (John 21:25)
You don’t know what Jesus or his disciples did or DIDN’T do! There is no way to know everything that happened when the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost, because the world could not contain the books that could be written!

If you spoke with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave you utterance, then I'm sure that you received it. However, I can't really say because I was not there when this occurred for you. But if you don't know, communicate in prayer with the Lord and speak to Him. My testimony is simply HOW I received the Holy Ghost and what happened to me personally. YES, you are suppose to call on the name of Jesus and PRAY in Jesus name. I would assume that MANY would know that THAT IS the name that we call on. There is POWER in that name, because of His death on the cross. Philippians 2:9-11 declares, Wherefore God also hath highly exalted HIM, and given him a name which IS above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. I, too, am seeking to be filled with the baptism of Holy Spirit. I understand that speaking in tongues is a language that only God understands and it is to edify the person who is speaking to God. Also, I understand that if one speaks in tongues to the public or any one else, there should be interpretation. Tongues is suppose to be an intelligible language that another one speaks could understand, right? Like in Acts. Otherwise, it sounds like gibberish and does nothing for the person who is hearing. I have watched several RUclips videos with a certain amount of discernment and testing the spirit. I am amazed just how many viewpoints/arguments for and against speaking in tongues there are. How can "followers of Jesus Christ" who serve the one true God and read the same one true Gospel, be so divided in the body of Christ? The many dominations, versions of the Bible, and many different beliefs.
The bible is a book best understand by persons who are spiritually chosen by god and not by someone who is thought

The word " tongues" ,in the original Greek that the N.T. was written in, is defined as " another language" and " a language" both singular.
In Acts ch.2 when the 120 recieved the Holy Spirit they immediately began speaking in one spiritual language. Three times the men in the crowd said " How HEAR we them in our own languages?"
This is God's way of letting us know that the miracle for the men in the crowd wasn'tt that the apostles were miraculously speaking in their individual native languages but that they Heard what the apostles were saying in their individual languages.
Speaking in " tongues" is what Paul referred to as the " unknown tongue" " that no man knows". If no man knows it then it's not a language native to this world.

If this testamony is true, I can be driving down the street after praying my morning prayer and receive the Holy Ghost which is Not so.
Driving doen the street is not spiritual nut flesh and natural. If I was to receive the holy ghost in an atmosphere where the spirit has been conjured for exampl while praying or sing a spiritual song to him then I will receive the Holy Ghost.

Not trying to start a fight here, but, YES she definitely can receive the Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues) while doing laundry…. or washing dishes, mopping floors, sitting in her car, combing her hair etc. Humph, you probably don’t want to hear what I was doing when I received it….Blessings
