This may seem counterintuitive but you legalise drugs in the US and parts of the EU and force China to accept drug exports for their domestic market. You regulate and tax it. Take it out of the hands of violent street thugs and make it a goverment subsidized crop. All of it. Cocaine, Heroin, all of it. Include pharmaceutical substitutions. In less than one generation everything would stabilise. No more gruesome deaths, the weak die off, and the younger generation learn it's not what they want. And each participating economy prospers.
Contemplate this deeply. It's the only solution. To implement successfully will take thirty years. Drug wars going on sixty years with no end in sight.
      Peace.

This is definitely a problem and nobody should be censored, threatened or killed for doing their job, but I think it’s important to be objective, many more “common” people are killed in one day and the news very briefly comments on this unless they can use it to damage their oposite parties. The news media is extremely political, nowadays they spend a lot of time in political news and not even 5 minutes in health, furthermore the presenters constantly give their subjective opinions that clearly reflect the interests of the political parties their networks are affiliated with.
