Baker is one of those QBs I changed my mind about. I used to not like him, but over the years he's brought me around, also how Cleveland screwed him over.
My respect for Baker just keeps rising. Guy seems so down to earth here, and has worked hard to become a factor in this league. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he has a helluva year next year (except against the 49ers lol).
if i, as a figure skating coach, instruct my figure skater to perform a triple lutz immediately followed by a triple toe loop because the momentum from the first movement will carry over into the second, i have established a winning game plan for them. the figure skater, however, still has to go out there and execute the moves. who has the harder job?
My advice is the same and Baker's: Dont try to do too much. Treat it like just another game. Play like you played in the second half vs the lions. Run if its there, dont force anything. Throw 4 tds, no picks and run for 75yds.

Facts, Game changing only comes when you fail to manage the game and have to rely on your athletic ability. It should not be understated or underappreciated , but it also should never be valued higher than game managing. If you game manage youll never be in that situation in the first place. I would also include movement in the pocket part of the game management piece, thats obviously needed on a play to play basis.
@@brohymn003 Exactly what I think too. Pulling plays out of your butt may look good, but it also says there was sloppy work that needed that kind of play to salvage it. Playing tight, being accurate and having anticipation that is successful isn't game managing.
Baker I didn’t like ya before. But you got my respect now. Appreciate you going against the bull crap media and telling it how it is. You deserve all the success 🫡 ‼️ bang bang ‼️
When "The Plan" breaks down, which it usually does, the Game Changer can make a play. I agree executing the plan is important, but being able to make up for when the plan breaks down (defenses do that to you), that's what makes a QB elite.
Like Josh Allen who has a bad habit of making poor decisions and trying to make something out of nothing? Like when Lamar made a stupid desperation pass into triple coverage against the Chiefs?
So, like Purdy does? Escapes pressure and throws off-plan for a completion, or scrambles for positive yards? Still trying to figure out the difference.
I love baker and all the haters just mad that he’s actually a really good QB. He took the browns to the playoffs a team that hasn’t been in so long and he won the first game by far and almost beat the chiefs. And then he took the Bucs to the playoffs beat the Engles like it was nothing and almost won against the lions. Baker is actually a really great Quarterback and if he keeps that up he’s gonna be in the Super Bowl soon.
Baker can talk folks! He's definitely got a career after football!! He had a great season and with a couple of more pieces on offense, they definitely have a chance next year
Baker is a good guy and has a similar attitude to Brock. Cleveland you blew it big time, traded a stand up guy for a guy who would rather be horizontal on a massage table with a wash cloth as his attire.
I will put it on a similar fashion Purdy might ❤thinking this. If god doesn’t want him to win this, it will be for the better. Thinking and breaking through this situation are totally different scenarios. The last one gives the opportunity to Purdy for greatness. Easier to say it than just do it.

By the end of the week we should be overdosed on Super Bowl score predictions if we are not already. But it's an annual ritual so, well, we deal with it...
The only thing I would correct about what he said is that Brock doesn’t make the easy throws. A lot of times he doesn’t take the check down. He looks to push it up the field.
Cam Newton was a superior athlete that struggled to read a defense. When his athleticism was no longer superior he was no longer effective because he still couldn’t read the defense. These smaller QBs & QBs that lack superior athleticism (Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees) Baker, Brock, Burrow, don’thave the luxury to not know the scheme inside and out so they know the playbook & study defenses. Would’ve been terrifying if Cam could have had both in his bag.
Look up the definition of manager, then tell me what you think. I'll take it all day long. The man in control with full responsibility. Truthfully speaking, every quarterback is a manager of the coach's wishes. Actually, the last two games that the Chiefs have played, Mahomes has been the perfect example of their definition of a game manager, but they'll never call him that.
It's funny when I hear, "short little QB." Yet, Mahomes is 1 inch taller, 5lbs heavier, and they have the same hand size. Google it. Speaking facts. With that said, Mahomes is on a whole other level. Just find it funny how people knock on Purdy, but him and Mahomes are basically the same in terms of "stature."
Cam Newton is a huge egotist. No one is talking about him. So to get people talking about him he talks smack, about a young lad that doesn't chat back and doesn't get involved in the circus of it all.And by doing so shows way more maturity than Cam could possibly.Which frustrates his tiny little mind even more 🤯🤯🤯
Never been a Baker fan, but he's definitely on point this interview. You see Cam? Baker was supposedly on his way out of the league after Cleveland. Now he's probably getting signed a few more years with an NFL team cause he understands the game. Meanwhile, you're busy buying hot dog on a stick hats and hating on active QBs.
Wut? This is a stupid comment. Maybe you're not a massive NFL fan and ignorant to things. If so, this comment makes more sense. Otherwise Baker has been in the NFL for many more years than Brock. Baker has seen good and bad. Baker is a person everyone should want to talk to and learn from. What to do and not to do.
