I just read Kaveh's story and... you, too, would not work with Alhaitham if you had the chance. It's even a wonder why Alhaitham let Kaveh stay at his place in the first place, specially considering how Alhaitham is far from a kind person.

His C6 seems to be still useful for Burgeon as if you have hydro aura you will explode seeds but create more for burgeon. So you dont waste seeds. Also if solo dendro, most self dmg will be during Kaveh field time in burgeon for example.
Looks reasonable, but fuck it, use c6 bennett max em kaveh(no burst) and explode those burgeons on yourself. That's the epilogue to kaveh architect career.

Here is where I think Kaveh is going to shine. Shatter/Fridge with him being built full em, and having a hydro with significantly higher application then he does, so he will always get the trigger, and the shatter damage. I think a team like this will be quite fun and maybe better then given credit for. I think that a team like this is the whole reason why they made him a claymore in the first place Edit- realized I forgot to put in a team so yeah My plan is maybe Kaveh, Xingqiu, Diona C6, and a flex slot. Maybe an anemo unit like sucrose for more em, or like rosaria maybe.
that's actually kinda cracked, my only worry would be his burst uptime since he can't apply much dendro outside of it, so you probable need double dendro but that leaves only xinqui as the only hydro applicator, needing to apply enough hydro for consistent blooms and freeze. so in theory it's quite good but in practice you'd probably do a lot more damage as double dendro double hydro, especially since shatter deals physical damage which is pretty trash most of the time. imo for the best possible kaveh dps team you'd want kaveh, nahida, xingqui and yelan, since the only way he's competing with hyperbloom is if you can make 50% more cores by replacing the electro/pyro trigger with more dendro/hydro

No, what zajef said about hyperbloom having a small aoe is true, your own hyperblooms can hit you if you're extremely close to the targeted enemy, although this rarely ever happens Not saying what you said is wrong, but meant to clarify that hyperblooms that you yourself trigger can hit you as well because of their small aoe

Something I wish they did was make Kaveh gain ownership of Dendro Cores that he detonates. Would this be enough to make Bloom/Fridge meta? Realistically, probably not since his ability to do this would be limited by his CDs, but it would be a neat answer to the issue of Bloom ownership being divided in pure Bloom teams and would synergize with his C4 as well.
So hear me out... dragonstrike kaveh with candace in nilou bloom, where you disregard his burst entirely and rely on plunge attack aoe hydro application. His advantage over alheitham being that he heals from the cores and has better dendro app on his skill. Then you use baizhu as a healer and supplementary dendro. Probably cope, but I like the idea at least.

@@DragonReborn71 You could just, NOT use him in burgeon when he’s c6. I don’t think the game needs to tell you that to make him better. Also if he had that restriction then he couldn’t be used with cryo or anemo. The team limitation adds absolutely nothing.
Nilou has a passive giving 100 EM to the whole team when taking seeds damage, so having a Dendro shield isn't always a good thing (but since it's a small shield it still may work well i guess) They could be sidegrades, upgrades i don't think so, but Nilou works with every Dendro/Hydro you like, no one is "bad" with her
Yeah I plan to use Baizhu in Nilou teams, not because it's seemingly optimal, but because it works best for my available units (need a good healer, only have Barbara otherwise), dunno if I'll use Kaveh. Since pretty much anyone can work with her, I figure it'll be good enough to still function as needed, if not just slightly worse.
@@Playmikesux IMO Baizhu seems like a goof fourth for a Nilou/Kokomi/Nahida team. Slow dendro app to not steal blooms from kokomi and his passive is a good buff

@@darkdragonx650 I mean, what do multipliers have to do with Spread? And sure he doesn’t have any EM to damage% conversions like the other units, neither does Keqing and she’s still strong in Aggravate. The main problem is probably his application which may not be as fast.

@@hritwikranjan2198 keqing actually applies electro so much that the em to dmg conversion isnt really needed to be good, but kaveh applies too little dendro to be above average, but it's prob playable, because fischl en nahida are just really string supports for quicken teams.
I prayge every night his skill makes bloom ignore hit limit and his bonuses are multiplicative (copium) Small note, I think Nahida + Prot. Amber and Him should be enough-ish healing if you play perfectly and don't have skill issues (unlikely) in Nilou teams. Combined with Xingqiu rainswords it could be possible to not need Kok. EDIT: Dear future viewer, I did some testing and yes, nahida with prot. amber IS enough healing. There's still bloom limit and bonus is still additive :( The testing was done with triple maguu Kenki with full EM build (Gilded Dreams) and he outheals everything while every still stays alive. No skill issue.

As someone who will build Kaveh even if he heals enemies, I'm very excited to watch this one after work - even when Zajef is more on the negative side, pre-release videos always help me get ready to the stuff I'm going to work with... even if I don't play super efficiently, I still would like to play as efficiently as I can with the characters that I love.
I've been thinking though. Isn't Yaoyao Kaveh still useful in the long run? I was looking for alternatives to use instead of Nahida because I desperately needed Nahida for my Spread teams. If I were to use Yaoyao and Kaveh, i'd only really use Yaoyao's burst if teamwide healing is needed, but i'll keep Kaveh in the frontlines most of the time, because dealing with bloom damage while fighting those cursed consecrated beasts are just.. pure hell.
I mean, his argument isn't that YaoYao Kaveh is useful, is that they require field time, is you don't use YaoYao burst unless absolutely needed, then you're missing out on a ton of dendro app as well as her healing, and you still run into Kaveh 8s downtime. Is not that "Kaveh doesn't work" but more like "Why use Kaveh when everyone else is better?"

@@TheSpongyMallardYes, you can, however then you still come back to the issue of "why Kaveh?" Since using Yao burst will basically heal your party to full, Kaveh isn't doing much anymore, and in practice the rotations would be around 21-22 seconds. I would argue that dendro MC is better than Kaveh simply because you still get good dendro application when recasting everything, whereas with Kaveh you don't get any dendro app aside from YaoYao's little bunny.
When i was in the middle of the video i realize that while i was doing abyss few days ago my xiangling was on 20 lvl missive windspear instead of 90 lvl dragons bane (db was on Hu Tao which i never use in abyss xD) and that's the reason why i didn't get 3 stars on 12.1. I try to play Hu tao; my xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee; her best team has xiangling. I want to play raiden, childe; they both want xiangling. She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her, I cook for her, I give her the catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull engulfing lightning: "I don't need this much er," she tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with homa." I can't pull for homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in her eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
I think hes probably built for a niche we dont have the characters yet. We will probably get more characters for pure Bloom and he will be a great support then, bur for now, he came too early, like Nilou or Kuki at their releases That or they will make it like Physical and never even talk about pure bloom again, and he will have an incomplete team for the rest of eternity
I feel like his A1 passive is a nod to his belief about himself (yea, I read all his character stories on Project Amber). I do intend to use him with Nilou, Yaoyao (I mean, she needs time on field, and we do have a 8 seconds window...) and some other Hydro, not sure which of them yet. And while Nahida and Alhaitham have better dendro application, I feel like they lose so much damage if they don't have an electro unit with them... I would rather just use them together in quickbloom/quicken teams and just use Kaveh with Nilou.
If only he could steal bloom ownership when he explodes the seeds he would actually be very good and a strong option for Nilou since you would be able to stack em only in one character
maybe im high but i thought he can potentially have a good synergy with Candace (and thats why they would be on the same banner) if you want to build him as idk carry wich procs blooms for additional damage
I’ve been starting to use Candace with full EM for fun and she works really well in my Nahida Nilou Yaoyao bloom team. Candace can also infuse hydro with claymore so it might work?
His burst nullifies candace's and vice versa though, so you end up with two units that want 9-12s of onfield time while doing nothing while the other takes the stage, so they're anti-synergy if anything.

In the case of Kaveh vs. a Hydro slime, does his skill create blooms first and *then* pop them? If not, that's v unlucky. They should have made it like a 2-part scan, first the dendro dmg, and then a second scan follows up to explode cores.
Actually, wouldn't Yaoyao be a good second dendro in Kaveh+Nilou team? They fill each other's downtimes, and yeah, it's probably a longer rotation but it should work
Is it confirmed that Kaveh's talents works with Bountiful cores? It is kinda weird that only in Kaveh's kit mentions dendro cores instead of just Bloom when other chars doesn't do this
Because they're no other character buff bloom specially , it only nilou, and she's not even dendro , so kaveh is the only dendro character that has a buff like this, and the why they mentioned the dendro core is because he buff all other bloom reactions too , hyperbloom and burgeon . in razor language: nilou gives bloom a huge buff , but is doesn't work in hyperbloom and burgeon , kaveh's buff isn't good as nilou's, but it does work with her buff , plus it work too with hyperbloom and burgeon... I hope you understood something tho🌚

His artistic woes in a city that doesn't get his added value in a nutshell... xD I'll be playing him in overworld bc he can mine ores where none of the other dendros can and he won't be so OP everything dies with no resistance at all. He'll let me actually play the game during exploration and I'm excited to take him to Fontaine
I hope I'm wrong but Kaveh's kit design seems as bad as Dehya's BUT saved by being a dendro unit. Reasons: 1. Selfish 4* with 0 support nor off field damage. Not even his constellations fix this. The line in his burst about "loses buffs when switched" ruins him. 2. Zajef states he will likely work best in hyperbloom but will also steal the reactions. 3. No damage to compensate being an on fielder. 4. His constellations are terrible, had at least 1 of them buffed the whole team, it would be better and allowed to pair him with Haitham. My point is just he has a lot of anti- synergy going on like Dehya NOT that he is absolutely useless
This is what I thought too ngl. At first glance his kit is very interesting and good. But I don't know why the more I try to figure out where to put him in my teams the more I realize he not gonna make any of my team as decent, and nowhere near better. His best (damage output) team is hyperbloom because hyperbloom itself is broken anyways. And the problem is that he may steal the bloom cores and that straight up damage loss 😭 The biggest downside of Kaveh's kit is his Q will only active when he on-field, this make him went goo goo gaa gaa real quick.
i think the problem im seeing is everyone is trying to treat him like a dps when he isn't. he's very clearly meant to be a driver. (leaks) i think this is even more obvious from beta stuff. his burst infusion supposedly removes the blunt damage from his hits. so im pretty sure his intention is to be ran in all the bloom teams you can't run nilou in. specifically ones involving frozen. i also think people are expecting the wrong thing/thinking of the wrong order for his skill and burst. the seed bursting is more like an extra then the main function

I'm curious, could Shatterbloom work fine for him? With some kind of hydro off-field (Kok/XQ), cryo off-field (Kaeya/Rosaria/Layla?), and fill slot like second Dendro (Nahida), or second Hydro (Kok/XQ/Ayato) for freezing and creating more cores?
Kaveh seems good for those of us who havent gotten Alhaitham yet and aren't using Nahida as an on-field driver. Looking forward to using him, he seems fun!
The last thing you want from a 4* is to be a DPS and oh boy Kaveh is going to fade into obscurity because of it. Kirara also appears to have the same exact problem. Edit: to be more specific 4* onfielders are always lackluster
@@leonthomas2020 needs to be onfield to apply Dendro at all. Passives increase personal damage her kit design is suffering because of this since for optimal play you would be an E bot but at that point why bother if you can use Zhongli who has a better shield and resistance shred

Honest question here. Are you still interested in the story? Yesterday I was finishing the latest questline with the Pari....and the tree I guess. I could not give a fat fuck about what was happening on screen. I usually pay attention and like story heavy older CRPG-s,but I just lost it completely last night. Too many names,places and irrelevant world building that does not concern the player and doesn't even appear in game. The Prey remake did it,but that involved actual in game rewards if you pay attention and it fits better the environmental storytelling. So do you pay attention? XD
Nice vid, thanks for the advices. I don't have Nilou or Nahida. But I like Kaveh a lot and tried out some Teams for him. Endet up with Kaveh, Raiden, Baizhu and Yelan. Sometimes I replace Raiden and Yelan with Kuki and Xingqiu. I admit, the damage could be higher, but I truly love to run this Team. Baizhu and also Kuki makes it feel very comfortable. Would really apreciate your thoughts about this Team. Thanks in advance 😊
I really wanna try Kaveh as a Hyperbloom + Bloom team, using both reactions, I know he would steal those seeds, but that’s kinda the idea, just try it exploding seeds and also making them for Hyperbloom, cause he has 6 seconds cooldown on that E, you can MAYBE, make it work, using those dead seconds to make Hyperbloom dmg
As explained in the video it’s a damage loss, so don’t try to do that to make it efficient, it won’t: do that because you want to have fun with Kaveh and enjoy his animations
I've been wondering a thing, when his ability cause a seed to burst, is the EM of the unit that trigger the bloom is the one that matter, or migth have they coded it so that when he cause them to burst, it's treated as him triggering the reaction? Cause if that is the case, it make the C6 more coherent as it would allow to stack the EM on him and build the reste of the team for damage.
It would be better if when he makes the bloom burst, the bloom are treated as from the characters that generated them, not Kaveh's. So it's the reverse. If Kaveh makes 5 bloom cores burst and he has full bloom ownership, only 2 of those cores deal damage. Edit: I edited the edit
It was my understanding (but I migth be wrong) that the limit of 2 bloom damage per 0.5 second was independent of who triggered the reaction. Such as in nilou bloom, even if I have 2 bloom from nilou and 2 by kokomi that burst at the "same time", each ennemy only take 2 instance of damage, the first 2 to be registered. If it's 2 per charather then him gaining ownership would be bad. But if it's 2 instance of the reaction no matter the owner, then him having ownership would just make the kit work more coherently
@Isminir Naeve wait, my bad. You are right, only 2 blooms can affect an enemy per 0.5s. I mixed up the bloom icd and dendro application icd argument. I was thinking of rapid dendro application being used to brute force icd (from a Collei argument) and somehow mixed it with bloom icd.

I'd say it is pretty obvious why Nilou's team restriction exists: because if it didn't, Nilou teams would all be running Kaz, Sucrose, or Venti.
They couldve easily made her scalings lower to compensate for higher creativity with anemo/cryo, thats not an excuse lol

Here is where I think Kaveh is going to shine. Shatter/Fridge with him being built full em, and having a hydro with significantly higher application then he does, so he will always get the trigger, and the shatter damage.
I think a team like this will be quite fun and maybe better then given credit for. I think that a team like this is the whole reason why they made him a claymore in the first place

My plan is maybe Kaveh, Xingqiu, Diona C6, and a flex slot. Maybe an anemo unit like sucrose for more em, or like rosaria maybe.
that's actually kinda cracked, my only worry would be his burst uptime since he can't apply much dendro outside of it, so you probable need double dendro but that leaves only xinqui as the only hydro applicator, needing to apply enough hydro for consistent blooms and freeze. so in theory it's quite good but in practice you'd probably do a lot more damage as double dendro double hydro, especially since shatter deals physical damage which is pretty trash most of the time. imo for the best possible kaveh dps team you'd want kaveh, nahida, xingqui and yelan, since the only way he's competing with hyperbloom is if you can make 50% more cores by replacing the electro/pyro trigger with more dendro/hydro

Something I wish they did was make Kaveh gain ownership of Dendro Cores that he detonates. Would this be enough to make Bloom/Fridge meta? Realistically, probably not since his ability to do this would be limited by his CDs, but it would be a neat answer to the issue of Bloom ownership being divided in pure Bloom teams and would synergize with his C4 as well.
So hear me out... dragonstrike kaveh with candace in nilou bloom, where you disregard his burst entirely and rely on plunge attack aoe hydro application. His advantage over alheitham being that he heals from the cores and has better dendro app on his skill. Then you use baizhu as a healer and supplementary dendro. Probably cope, but I like the idea at least.

Nilou has a passive giving 100 EM to the whole team when taking seeds damage, so having a Dendro shield isn't always a good thing (but since it's a small shield it still may work well i guess)
They could be sidegrades, upgrades i don't think so, but Nilou works with every Dendro/Hydro you like, no one is "bad" with her

Yeah I plan to use Baizhu in Nilou teams, not because it's seemingly optimal, but because it works best for my available units (need a good healer, only have Barbara otherwise), dunno if I'll use Kaveh. Small note, I think Nahida + Prot. Amber and Him should be enough-ish healing if you play perfectly and don't have skill issues (unlikely) in Nilou teams. Combined with Xingqiu rainswords it could be possible to not need Kok.
EDIT: Dear future viewer, I did some testing and yes, nahida with prot. amber IS enough healing. There's still bloom limit and bonus is still additive :(
The testing was done with triple maguu Kenki with full EM build (Gilded Dreams) and he outheals everything while every still stays alive. No skill issue.

As someone who will build Kaveh even if he heals enemies, I'm very excited to watch this one after work - even when Zajef is more on the negative side, pre-release videos always help me get ready to the stuff I'm going to work with... even if I don't play super efficiently, I still would like to play as efficiently as I can with the characters that I love.
I've been thinking though. Isn't Yaoyao Kaveh still useful in the long run? I was looking for alternatives to use instead of Nahida because I desperately needed Nahida for my Spread teams. If I were to use Yaoyao and Kaveh, i'd only really use Yaoyao's burst if teamwide healing is needed, but i'll keep Kaveh in the frontlines most of the time, because dealing with bloom damage while fighting those cursed consecrated beasts are just.. pure hell.
I mean, his argument isn't that YaoYao Kaveh is useful, is that they require field time, is you don't use YaoYao burst unless absolutely needed, then you're missing out on a ton of dendro app as well as her healing, and you still run into Kaveh 8s downtime.

@@TheSpongyMallardYes, you can, however then you still come back to the issue of "why Kaveh?" Since using Yao burst will basically heal your party to full, Kaveh isn't doing much anymore, and in practice the rotations would be around 21-22 seconds.
I would argue that dendro MC is better than Kaveh simply because you still get good dendro application when recasting everything, whereas with Kaveh you don't get any dendro app aside from YaoYao's little bunny.

I feel like his A1 passive is a nod to his belief about himself (yea, I read all his character stories on Project Amber). I do intend to use him with Nilou, Yaoyao (I mean, she needs time on field, and we do have a 8 seconds window...) and some other Hydro, not sure which of them yet. And while Nahida and Alhaitham have better dendro application, I feel like they lose so much damage if they don't have an electro unit with them... I would rather just use them together in quickbloom/quicken teams and just use Kaveh with Nilou.

I’ve been starting to use Candace with full EM for fun and she works really well in my Nahida Nilou Yaoyao bloom team. Candace can also infuse hydro with claymore so it might work?
His burst nullifies candace's and vice versa though, so you end up with two units that want 9-12s of onfield time while doing nothing while the other takes the stage, so they're anti-synergy if anything.

In the case of Kaveh vs. a Hydro slime, does his skill create blooms first and *then* pop them? If not, that's v unlucky. They should have made it like a 2-part scan, first the dendro dmg, and then a second scan follows up to explode cores.

Because they're no other character buff bloom specially , it only nilou, and she's not even dendro , so kaveh is the only dendro character that has a buff like this, and the why they mentioned the dendro core is because he buff all other bloom reactions too , hyperbloom and burgeon . in razor language: nilou gives bloom a huge buff , but is doesn't work in hyperbloom and burgeon , kaveh's buff isn't good as nilou's, but it does work with her buff , plus it work too with hyperbloom and burgeon... I hope I'm wrong but Kaveh's kit design seems as bad as Dehya's BUT saved by being a dendro unit. Reasons:
1. Selfish 4* with 0 support nor off field damage. Not even his constellations fix this. The line in his burst about "loses buffs when switched" ruins him.
2. Zajef states he will likely work best in hyperbloom but will also steal the reactions.
3. No damage to compensate being an on fielder.
4. His constellations are terrible, had at least 1 of them buffed the whole team, it would be better and allowed to pair him with Haitham.
My point is just he has a lot of anti- synergy going on like Dehya NOT that he is absolutely useless
This is what I thought too ngl. At first glance his kit is very interesting and good. But I don't know why the more I try to figure out where to put him in my teams the more I realize he not gonna make any of my team as decent, and nowhere near better. His best (damage output) team is hyperbloom because hyperbloom itself is broken anyways. And the problem is that he may steal the bloom cores and that straight up damage loss 😭 The biggest downside of Kaveh's kit is his Q will only active when he on-field, this make him went goo goo gaa gaa real quick.
i think the problem im seeing is everyone is trying to treat him like a dps when he isn't. he's very clearly meant to be a driver.
(leaks) i think this is even more obvious from beta stuff. his burst infusion supposedly removes the blunt damage from his hits. so im pretty sure his intention is to be ran in all the bloom teams you can't run nilou in. specifically ones involving frozen.
i also think people are expecting the wrong thing/thinking of the wrong order for his skill and burst. the seed bursting is more like an extra then the main function

Honest question here. Are you still interested in the story? Yesterday I was finishing the latest questline with the Pari....and the tree I guess. I could not give a fat fuck about what was happening on screen. I usually pay attention and like story heavy older CRPG-s,but I just lost it completely last night. Too many names,places and irrelevant world building that does not concern the player and doesn't even appear in game. The Prey remake did it,but that involved actual in game rewards if you pay attention and it fits better the environmental storytelling. So do you pay attention? XD

But I like Kaveh a lot and tried out some Teams for him. Endet up with Kaveh, Raiden, Baizhu and Yelan. Sometimes I replace Raiden and Yelan with Kuki and Xingqiu. I admit, the damage could be higher, but I truly love to run this Team. Baizhu and also Kuki makes it feel very comfortable.

I really wanna try Kaveh as a Hyperbloom + Bloom team, using both reactions, I know he would steal those seeds, but that’s kinda the idea, just try it exploding seeds and also making them for Hyperbloom, cause he has 6 seconds cooldown on that E, you can MAYBE, make it work, using those dead seconds to make Hyperbloom dmg
As explained in the video it’s a damage loss, so don’t try to do that to make it efficient, it won’t: do that because you want to have fun with Kaveh and enjoy his animations

I've been wondering a thing, when his ability cause a seed to burst, is the EM of the unit that trigger the bloom is the one that matter, or migth have they coded it so that when he cause them to burst, it's treated as him triggering the reaction? Cause if that is the case, it make the C6 more coherent as it would allow to stack the EM on him and build the reste of the team for damage.
I'm not too sure about those but I think he makes any dendro cores available explode regardless of who triggered them.
It would be better if when he makes the bloom burst, the bloom are treated as from the characters that generated them, not Kaveh's. So it's the reverse. If Kaveh makes 5 bloom cores burst and he has full bloom ownership, only 2 of those cores deal damage.

It was my understanding (but I migth be wrong) that the limit of 2 bloom damage per 0.5 second was independent of who triggered the reaction. Such as in nilou bloom, even if I have 2 bloom from nilou and 2 by kokomi that burst at the "same time", each ennemy only take 2 instance of damage, the first 2 to be registered.
If it's 2 per charather then him gaining ownership would be bad. But if it's 2 instance of the reaction no matter the owner, then him having ownership would just make the kit work more coherently
@Isminir Naeve wait, my bad. You are right, only 2 blooms can affect an enemy per 0.5s. I mixed up the bloom icd and dendro application icd argument. I was thinking of rapid dendro application being used to brute force icd (from a Collei argument) and somehow mixed it with bloom icd.
