I couldn’t find tunisian crochet hooks where I live either so I went and bought long dowels in the size I needed and I used a blade and some files and made my own. I also sanded the whole thing so that my yarn wouldn’t catch on it and used some scrap yarn to slide it up and down the pole as I was sanding it so I would know if I had to keep smoothing it more. It turned out great and I love it

I'm not finding the hook with a long enough tail to hold all of the stitches for the poncho. Where do I find something that will work here in Portland, Or or online?

I got "hooked" on Tunisian, but my projects all want to curl top and bottom. To me, this is faster than regular. Don't really know why.
