Haha it's true. Ringo is a left handed drummer that plays on a right handed kit. That's why he leads with his left hand and it can look awkward. It actually helped him make creative drum parts, like in come together.

Nobody listens to Beatles for mind blowing, face melting drum and guitar solos or badass bass lines, they listen for the songs, songs perfect from aspects, like a fine dish, with perfectly balanced ingredients. That's why they are universally loved.
I think that's why they've stood the test of time so well. At the heart of every Beatles hit record was a well crafted tune. They were above average musicians, but not world class... at the same time they were probably the best songwriting team to ever live. 'Yesterday' is the most covered song in history. That's not because of the musicianship - but the writing.
I noticed every single one of them played the riff on "Come Together" backward. I saw Ringo demo it: he would play the tom fill from the floor tom to the rack tom, explaining that since he's left-handed it was easier for him to fill that direction. Everyone in the video played it rack to floor. ;-)
@@andrewtibayan5925 what are you talking about? the song Rain is a beat by Ringo probably the most beautiful beat next to here comes the Sun or I got a feeling maybe Octopuses Garden. you label them Ringo was so beautiful on drums man like 100% meant for that band
Sheila E on Ringo: "Once I sat and broke down his process on every single song, I couldn’t believe how his simplicity of playing drums was actually very complicated. I’d close my eyes and every time I got to the part of playing the drum fill he would already be there. It was then I realized that his approach in the Beatles was as if the drums were another singer.”
I have a friend of mine who has been playing drums for about 25 years. When he first started learning, he said "I'm going to learn some Beatles songs first, they're easy!" When I asked him how it was going, he said "Damn they're a lot more complicated than I thought!" Now he has a lot of respect for Ringo's style, and if any of his students start talking smack about Ringo, he'll setup the drum kit the same way and say "Ok, now YOU play it". They all shut up after that.
Ringo plays a right handed kit but hes left handed. Its much harder for a right handed person to play his style because they have to break a natural barrier they have grown up with
This video also has interlacing which are those horizontal lines when somethings in motion, which were used back in older films but are now not used, it makes this video seem older than it actually is
I’m no drummer, but the thing that always impressed me about Ringo is that he did so much with such a small kit. Ringo has all these iconic hooks, and he did it all on that. Shits beyond impressive, dude.
@@playlistmaker90125an instrument is only as boring as the player. If you’ve played with a small kit and think it’s boring, the kit is not the boring one…
Thank you. I, as someone who knows NOTHING about drumming, would love to see more information. The only drummers to me who've ever really stood out and made me take notice of drumming in a song (like a "holy shit, the drums in this song, though!") are Bonzo, Keith Moon, and Dave Grohl, so I love hearing this sort of information because it helps me (a piano player) become more educated and aware. I totally agree with you.
I'm not a drummer, and I could never figure out how Ringo got _that_ sound from the high-hat. Thanks to Taylor Hawkins, I've now got the "washing the windshield" explanation, and it makes sense.
The most impressive thing about Ringo was how he was able to keep time during those early Beatlemania shows. The girls screamed so loud and the acoustics weren't as advanced as they are now. An average drummer would have lost the beat and run the band off track.
george martin called him a human metronome; that you could put him to a metronome, leave the room with the metronome and come back half an hour later and ringo would still be perfectly in time. I read somewhere that during all their years recording it was only twice that ringo screwed up his beat (and even then only slightly)
In "Eight Days A Week" Ringo said that the only way he could stay on the beat during those ear-splitting stadiun shows was watching John's head bobbing and body language...amazing!
Dean Powers - he referred to the song progression. He wouldn't know where they were in the song because he couldn't hear but he'd see John wiggle his butt like he'd do or see Paul shimmy his shoulders like he did and then he'd know "ah, there we are". I would say that the only reason the others could play the song without hearing is because Ringo's drum was keeping impeccable beat behind them.
Michael Wigdor you just saw a video with some of the greatest drummer in the world saying that the beats aren't easy, I suggest you rethink that comment
The most underrated drummer ever. They failed to mention. Ringo was left handed and played a right handed drum set. Some of those peculiar drum fills were his style because of this.
Tre did mention that he’s left handed in the vid... but all these clips are cut down massively so they could create a cohesive montage and combine all the similar things they all said about Ringo’s playing. I’m sure Chad was on that same tangent when they cut in on him saying “...but he would lead with his left hand”
I used to hear it from other drummers on the club circuit that I wasn't as technical as some but I sure worked a lot more than any of them. Good groove and swing was my reputation and it kept me busy. Also a left hander play a right handed kit.
He's a drummer who knows what the needs are. Its hard to be like that especially if you are a drummer in a band that records, you would want to do more to catch attention but you might just mess it up.
You hear people say Ringo wasn't good, but it usually comes from those who don't play music. If you're a musician, especially a songwriter then you get to understand just how great he was. An amazing song drummer and created some of the most distinctive drum beats in history. Listen to that drum loop on Tomorrow Never Knows, highly creative for 1966 and sounds like it could have been done today. Also, little timing changes in songs like Happiness Is A Warm Gun and Here Comes The Sun, i think a lot of young drummers today would have trouble switching timing like that with such fluidity, or be as tasteful in the fills like in A Day In The Life. If you're a drummer playing in a band, there's a lot to be learned from Ringo about composing drum parts and play for the song, not just yourself. The Beatles were great musicians and writers. I appreciate the practice that goes into shredding instruments like some people can, but i'll take great songwriting over that any day of the week.
It's incredible that they all play the intro of "Come Together", but nobody in the right way. First the floor tom and then the tom, starting with the left hand!
Ringo starts the Come Together tom fill on the second rack tom (he was using the blonde Ludwig set with two rack toms at the time), then he goes to the first rack tom and the floor tom, switching back and forth for the second half of the fill.
@@GoodMenstruationAttitude lmao his grandma made him *write* right handed, not make him play on a righty kit. He just happened to learn and play drums on a right handed kit.
I remember watching Thomas the tank engine and I loved the narrator (which was ringo). And my mom would play me just one Beatles song when I was that age, it was octopuses garden. Then when I got older my grandpa reintroduced me to the Beatles, and I remembered octopuses garden when I heard it again. As I was watching interviews with The Beatles and Ringo spoke, and I realized that I knew that voice, I looked it up and the former drummer of the Beatles voiced the narrator in the 80s Thomas. That’s why Ringo is my favorite.
RIght, but: I think a Beatles song doesn't Need such a big ass drumset to Sound great. But imagine a rush song with this Kind of drumset. That would Sound horrible. A rush song Needs this huge Neil Peart drumset because it's just another Sound. It always depends on what style of Songs you Play. Please kick my ass when I'm wrong :D
. Neil's style involves a larger drum kit, sure maybe you think Rush sounds awful, but you can't tell me that 'He's not allowed to have that style because uhhh fuck rush you could play tom sawyer with a small kit'. I doubt a small drum set makes things harder, and I don't think a Neil Peart-sized kit makes things easier, it's entirely up to the drummer and his or her style. By your logic Meg White is the best drummer ever. (Meg is great btw, just a good example) I think you'd agree in the fact that a small kit or simplistic/minimalist style doesn't automatically mean good, and neither does a large kit/complex style. Really the 'best drummer' doesn't exist, and it's completely possible that your least favourite drummer is someone else's favourite. My personal favourite is Phil Collins, in particular his work with early ("Peter Gabriel Era") Genesis. Lots of people hate Phil and think he's solely a sugary 80s pop-star, I don't really like his solo-work either to be completely honest.
@@davygrohlington5576 - Of course Peart is an amazing technician...BUT...isolate his drums or one of his solos and you can't identify the song. Isolate Ringo's tracks and...oh, it's...I saw her standing there or Rain or Come together. Paul's bass tracks were very melodic and only a great drummer could compliment them. Drowning them out would ruin them. Just like sound waves, if instruments are out of tune they clash and negate each other. If they are in tune/mesh/compliment they augment each other. Ringo was a superb drummer for the various styles that The Beatles played.
I love the bit about that "falling down the stairs kind of sound." What a perfect way to describe it. I also love that they all start doing Ringo body language just by drumming like him, with the head wagging back and forth. It comes pretty naturally when you're aping his stance, left-handed on a right-handed kit so you're not crossing over. Very cool video. I feel like all these guys could talk about this a lot longer, and I'd love to see it if they did.
Well, when I've watched Max when he was on Conan, and he'd kind of "do" Ringo as part of the Max Weinberg 7. I'm not a big Bruce fan (gasp! heresy!) so I don't know what his style is/was with E Street.
The Beatles fit together like a puzzle. The sum of the whole was greater than it's parts. This band had 3 great composers. Ringo was the icing on the cake.
You know what the pathetic thing is? Those that criticise Ringo by commenting that John said he wasn't the best... They don't even know that John never said that. They just hook onto one comment about John and they assume that it's all true. They don't cite any specific interviews. They don't link any interviews to back up their comment. They don't even comment when the interview was. They don't provide any evidence that John actually said it... They actually don't know that it was a joke by a relatively unfunny comedian called Jasper Carrott. They know nothing. They don't even mention any drum parts that Ringo apparently sucked on. They don't explain why he sucked on what songs. They do nothing! All they do is say "Oh, he didn't do drum solos. He was awful!" You know what the funny thing is? Most of these critics have never actually held a pair of drumsticks! They've never played a drum kit!

With Ringo as their drummer, the Beatles were steeped in Innovation and creativity - all four contributed to their unique sound. They became the 'four-headed monster' of Rock!
We'll you know what's worse than that comparing him to the other drummers who's really fast and have a different style like John Bonham like what the hell that guy is absolutely overpowered when it comes to drums this people wants to make Ringo look like he was normal drummer I hate when they compare those kind of drummers
I have yet to find a professional drummer of any genre who say Ringo as a drummer stinks. Steve Gadd, Danny Seraphine, Mike Portnoy - all virtuosos known for inhuman technique have nothing but love and respect for Ringo as a drummer.
Ringo was initially the mascot for the Beatles. Most popular in 64. He defined that British Invasion look and cheeky personality. Hey he was the focus in their 2 films. Nothing pretentious, just a very likable guy and the drummer for the fabs. Happy 75th birthday. I so happy we still have him.
As a teenager playing the drums I personally did not look up to Ringo preferring instead to idolize drummers like John Bonham, Steve Smith and Dave Weckl until I started writing songs and playing in bands that required me to make up my own drum parts for them as that is what Ringo does best like the guys say in the film. Personally, he is my biggest inspiration in that way
Ringo could dine out on that Come Together fill on its own,but he was the King of the fill and so many drummers (real drummers) appreciate the influence he had on every sticksman. Phil Collins once said "no ringo? no beatles,no classic rock....NO MUSIC !!"
I have been playing drums now for more than 50 yrs.. my main influence to even pick up a drumstick was Ringo.. I saw him on Ed Sullivan and BAMM I decided this is it.. this is what I want.. before Ringo I tried piano, guitar, trumpet, accordian, ect ect,.. but suddenly I got a pair of sticks in my hands and that was it.. and it was so powerful it carried to my son who is now in his 10th yrs of playing.. other influences were Buddy Rich, Buddy Miles, Gene Krupa, and a ton of other drummers but Ringo has always been on top..HE IS DRUMS
Put it this way. “The Beatles” didn’t become the Beatles until Ringo joined the band. That’s how important he really is. If you listen to their early music in the Cavern, Ringo gave them the backbone and timing they needed. He was one swinging badass. But you really need to understand music to know this. It’s the casuals who criticize.
I agree. The more you explore music the more you appreciate something like this. At first I was like "heh, thats simple I can do that". Until I finally did and play instruments, what Ringo did was something else. Being a musician in a band isnt all about making the sounds. Giving what the band need is not an easy job
OndraMike ehhh i don’t know if you can call the Beatles the best rock and roll band.... best group maybe but they aren’t exactly rock and roll like Zeppelin or Sabbath
If tre broke ringos drums. I would burn all my green day albums. I love green day but beatles got me into rock and i can't like a musician who disrespects the beatles
I knew I was drummer in 1957...age 5....when Ringo showed up I knew what kind of music I should play. When Keith Moon showed up I knew how I wanted to play it. After that I still played strict-tempo, dance music from the 20s, 30s and 40s with the knowledge that Ringo and Keith were in there. In 1978 I found my Bassist and Keyboardist. Two years later my singer guitarist, Three years later my Lead Guitarist. Turned pro in '85 and never did anything else but play, produce and teach music! I am one lucky bastard!
Watching the Get Back documentary it amazed me how focused Ringo was in the studio he seemed so locked in absorbing the creativity of the others then placing his own personal stamp on the songs with such a small kit these reissues really bring Ringo more front and center and that's a good thing !
Many people are not aware that drummers "play notes" that can change according to where they hit the drum. It was Ringo's ability to play "in tune and in time" with Beatles songs that made him the right drummer. Just listen to what they sounded like in 1962 before Ringo, at the big knock back when a record company failed to take them on. Then hear them after 1963, an amazing transformation.
When you have drummers of this calibre come together and all say basically the same thing, you really need to take notice. Yet still there are so many talentless wannabes who think themselves really cool for saying "Ringo was so overrated." Yeah, right.
Coming from a drummer that's played Rush, Police, ELP, Deep Purple for about 21 years now, and has my own album out, he's not a very good drummer. From a musical/casual listener standpoint, he's exceptionally good, and his contributions to the songs were phenomenal. But from a musician's and drummer's standpoint, he's actually pretty bad. If you want to hear actually good drumming, listen to Herbie Hancock's albums, with Harvey Mason, Mike Clark, and Alphonse Mouzon, or any of the bands i listed above. If you want to listen to great music, but not very good drumming, listen to the Beatles. It's sad that Ringo gets gelded like he's the best drummer of all time, when numerous others, like Carl Palmer, Jeff Porcaro, Ian Paice, Tommy Aldridge, and the three i listed above don't get any credit, even though they're vastly superior.
@@jacksondolly3248 He might not be the best drummer technically, but he was/is incredible at having a great feel for the rythmical aspect without doing too much
@@galaxelen1152 I have a feeling almost any drummer could have replaced Ringo in the Beatles and they would have achieved the same success, but you couldn't put Ringo in Rush, Tool, ELP, Deep Purple or Toto. It was pretty much just amazing songwriting with some drumming. If you don't have chops and just rely on feel, you might as well just play along to a drum machine.
@@jacksondolly3248 I think everyone that you listed couldve played ringos parts when they were created, but none of them would have played it the way ringo did with his touch, and I mean just look what praise other great drummers give him. Also how does a drum machine have feel?
It's 100% true about Ringo's incredible ability to come up with so many unique riffs on the Beatles hit songs. Imagine "Ticket to Ride", "Come Together", "Tomorrow Never Knows", "I Feel Fine," and so many others without those classic Ringo grooves--they wouldn't be as iconic as they are without them. (Smartest personnel move in music history replacing Pete Best with Ringo--that move was THE key ingredient to the band's meteoric rise to international superstardom.)
It is so GREAT to see Ringo getting all the accolades he has always deserved. We often take him for granted, but he revolutionized rock'n'roll drumming and always played exactly what the song needed and no more.

The tumbling tom-toms into "She Loves You" is one of the most exciting intros into any R&R song! Along with the really fast down strokes on the toms in "Help" and Ringo's one and only solo ever in "The End" there is really nothing else that need be said of this master-musician's tasty style and contribution to the greatest band of all time.
It speaks so much to his legacy and brilliance that all of these drummers from so many different styles of music, different eras, different backgrounds, all know Ringo's parts by heart.
"He had the Magic Touch!" Love seeing such iconic drummers heap tribute on the father of rock drumming, Ringo Starr. I miss not seeing and hearing one of his most ardent fans, Phil Collins, who places him in his best 5 of all time. Another fabulous left handed musician who is grossly underrated as a drummer.
It's so amazing to hear other famous rock drummers describing Ringo's work! I never knew how innovative he actually was. I mean I knew that the other 3 Beatles were innovative. This is coming from someone with no musical background, (I don't even know how to play guitar) and even I could tell that the other Beatles guitar playing/music making was different, cool, and way ahead of its time. But with ringo it was hard to tell. With drums it's hard to distinguish individual styles. But now that I've watched this video and heard all the things these guys said about Ringo's talent, I guess ALL 4 members of the Beatles had something to put into music history. It's so nice to see ringo get the talent spotlight, instead of one of the other Beatles. He's not just another drummer. He's the lovable, irreplaceable Ringo Starr!
+Maren Denison Indeed. You will hear a lot of stuff about how Ringo wasn't good, but it usually comes from those who don't play music. If you're a musician, especially a songwriter then you get to understand just how great he was. An amazing song drummer and created some of the most distinctive drum beats in history. Listen to that drum loop on Tomorrow Never Knows, highly creative for 1966 and sounds like it could have been done today.
+Lazarus Solomon One thing someone pointed out in another video is that on that loop, he delays the downbeat slightly, and then pushes the tempo on the other beats. He's not late and early on the beats, he's playing on the "back half" and "front half" of the beats, and it gives the song a unique energy that just wouldn't be there if it was played exactly straight..
***** That's right. I've know plenty of good drummers say they have tried to play along with Beatles records only to find how difficult it is to get the right feel and that's why. A lot of modern drummers are used to playing to click tracks too so it almost becomes muscle memory for them to hit right on the beat as close as possible. It's good to be able to play super tight but there's no substitute for feel in my opinion.
I think this is maybe the key thing that encapsulates Ringo's greatness as a drummer. Most bands, you could take out the drummer and replace them with another drummer of similar technique, and musically, even if the band didn't sound exactly the same, they'd probably be just as good. But you take out Ringo, and it's hard to imagine the Beatles sounding as good with anyone else...
Great to hear such highly rated drummers, give Ringo such a great wrap. In a lot of the Beatles’ songs, the drums were the standout instrument. You’re right. He’s a genius!😎

Respect for Ringo, always.
+Mark = you nailed it perfectly...!!! THX BRO
Man what a story! Your friend is amazing!
the most difficult thing bout ringo playstyle is how to be the coolest soulful guy when hitting the drum.
Ringo plays a right handed kit but hes left handed. Its much harder for a right handed person to play his style because they have to break a natural barrier they have grown up with
1:53 Abe Laboriel : "It's that sloppy, swampy, falling down the stairs kind of sound..." That's the best description of Ringo's sound I've ever heard.
i’ve watched this dozens of times and i just now realized it’s in black and white

OMG that's racist
This video also has interlacing which are those horizontal lines when somethings in motion, which were used back in older films but are now not used, it makes this video seem older than it actually is
I swear to god before I read this comment the video had color...what have you done
hugolafhugolaf How is it racist?
I’m no drummer, but the thing that always impressed me about Ringo is that he did so much with such a small kit. Ringo has all these iconic hooks, and he did it all on that. Shits beyond impressive, dude.
That's all he needed!
Small kits are boring…
Two other small kit guys: Mike Shrieve and Jim Gordon. Not bad company.

I'd watch drummers talk about Ringo for 10 hours
"It's that sloppy, swampy, falling down the stairs kinda sound. It is the coolest thing ever." LOVE THAT...
I don't care who's the greatest drummer. If I find myself air-drumming to a song, that drummer is great in my book.

I'm not a drummer, and I could never figure out how Ringo got _that_ sound from the high-hat. Thanks to Taylor Hawkins, I've now got the "washing the windshield" explanation, and it makes sense.
Yeah, exactly! And I come here time by time to listen again what Taylor said) Really cool! RIP Mr. Hawkins, we all miss about you! 1:39
I would say that the only reason the others could play the song without hearing is because Ringo's drum was keeping impeccable beat behind them.
littlemissmello probably cause the beats are pretty damn easy
Michael Wigdor you just saw a video with some of the greatest drummer in the world saying that the beats aren't easy, I suggest you rethink that comment
And the greatest thing, even now into his eighties, Ringo is still drumming and rocking. Rock on, Ringo! Peace and love ALWAYS!!!

I’m sure Chad was on that same tangent when they cut in on him saying “...but he would lead with his left hand”
they literally did lmao
I used to hear it from other drummers on the club circuit that I wasn't as technical as some but I sure worked a lot more than any of them. Good groove and swing was my reputation and it kept me busy. Also a left hander play a right handed kit.
Fair enough/each to their own but I would say Jaki Lieberzeit is a much more underrated drummer.
I understood what you did there yesssss
ringo's drumming is a real definition of "putting everything in a right place". pure genius. not overdoing things. every beat just sounds right.
Indeed. With Ringo's pieces, nothing is out of place. Everything gels together.
He's a drummer who knows what the needs are. Its hard to be like that especially if you are a drummer in a band that records, you would want to do more to catch attention but you might just mess it up.
Anybody can do that…
"I wouldn't be a drummer without Ringo" says the guy who is playing the drums on every Beatles song with Paul McCartney's band
He was inspired by Ringo so he wouldn’t be the drummer for Paul if he wasn’t a drummer in the first place
I guess?
@@lmaolol6276 But with how things would work out, he literally wouldn't have a job without Ringo haha
He wouldn't be playing drums to songs recorded with Ringo. End of story !
finally Ringo is recognized by extraordinary drummers. He deserves every word said here and more.
I love what you just said. Everything. You nail it when you say tasteful.
Even John Lennon said Ringo wasn't a good drummer.
Doctor Ryodine John Lennon could kinda be a prick sometimes...
As much as I love John, he was kind of a douche sometimes. Ringo is great.
Doctor Ryodine everyone knows it's compulsory for band members to make fun of the drummer. Duh.
It's incredible that they all play the intro of "Come Together", but nobody in the right way.
First the floor tom and then the tom, starting with the left hand!
really? Are you sure?
@@dreads9536 Absolutely. RIngo was left handed but his grandma made him use a righty kit so he wrote it that way because it was a little faster.
Ringo starts the Come Together tom fill on the second rack tom (he was using the blonde Ludwig set with two rack toms at the time), then he goes to the first rack tom and the floor tom, switching back and forth for the second half of the fill.
Thank you! The pitch goes UP, not down.
Same here! Surprised me when Ringo narrated for Thomas the tank engine. Grew up with him as the narrator.

@Mr. Shlock What a troll. Go back under your rock, Mr. Schlock. .... Moron.
The best part is he did all that with basically a small drum set, compared to what you see thses guys banging on now.
Rush songs sound horrible anyway. No giant drum set is saving them.
Try doing this with a 4pce kit.

Put it this way. “The Beatles” didn’t become the Beatles until Ringo joined the band. That’s how important he really is. If you listen to their early music in the Cavern, Ringo gave them the backbone and timing they needed. He was one swinging badass. But you really need to understand music to know this. I agree. The more you explore music the more you appreciate something like this. At first I was like "heh, thats simple I can do that". Until I finally did and play instruments, what Ringo did was something else. Being a musician in a band isnt all about making the sounds. Giving what the band need is not an easy job

Damn CORRECT, my friend. Couldn't have said it better.
I can never get enough Ringo content. Wish the video was a hour longer.
Neil Peart would look at that kit and go, "What am I supposed to do with this?! WHERE ARE MY 30 CYMBALS?!?!"
Stuart O Haha no he did a great buddy rich tribute
He embarrassed himself at the buddy rich tribute.
@@flacidhouse350 You do realize that jazz is NOT Peart's style right but he did ok
He didn't, and his style is lame.
Is that some new kind of Haiku?
My mind can't even handle Dave Grohl sitting at RIngo's drum set. 2 f**king legends.
Lubbylove89 Same.
Ringo had a signature "swing" in his playing ! One of a kind !
It speaks so much to his legacy and brilliance that all of these drummers from so many different styles of music, different eras, different backgrounds, all know Ringo's parts by heart.
They're pretty much all rock drummers. Jim Keltner has dabbled in some slightly more jazzy stuff, but that's it.
Other Drummers: Wow this is so iconic
Tré cool: Yeah its pretty weird and corky
quirky
"He had the Magic Touch!"
Love seeing such iconic drummers heap tribute on the father of rock drumming, Ringo Starr.
I miss not seeing and hearing one of his most ardent fans, Phil Collins, who places him in his best 5 of all time. Another fabulous left handed musician who is grossly underrated as a drummer.
Long live Ringo Starr, man! he is a great drummer.

His t shirt says:
Juan
Pablo
Jorge
&Gringo
Lol
Juan
Paolo
Jorge
Gringo
It says Paolo instead of Pablo lol
I get it it's actually:
John
Paul
George
Bingo!!
They are called The Fab 4 and not the Fab 3 for a reason.
Ringo tied the songs together. I don’t think the Beatles would of made it so big without him. His style was so unique and he didn’t hog the spotlight.
Paul and George and I think even John have said that The Beatles didn't really start until Ringo joined.
Sure, he was underrated, but in actuality, Ringo was just as important as Paul, John, or George.
No One that's probably the single most foolish and debatable thing anyone's ever said about a band LOL
Abraham Stinkin coming from the idiot who's replying to a 2 year old comment.
I would put Ringo above George actually. I think the beatles without Ringo would have been worse than the beatles without George.
L Hauer yeah because the foolishness of it expires after 2 years. Brilliant. Excellent debating skills you have there, genius.
Tomás LOL
Ringo is seriously one of my 4 favourite beatles
Great to hear such highly rated drummers, give Ringo such a great wrap. In a lot of the Beatles’ songs, the drums were the standout instrument. You’re right. He’s a genius!😎
I love hearing drummers talk shop and knowing what they're talking about. I think the "Come Together" riff was my subconscious reason to start drumming.
"To play a Beatles song, you have to understand that the drums work as a fourth singer." Sheila E.
presumably there are other videos in this collection, but I only watch this one every couple of months for ever
