I have been on the receiving end of both of those submissions and they can put you out. That said, "steppin' on the gas," is my favorite rubber guard sub when I can pull it off. Thanks BMac for showing the finer details.
I’ve been thinking about getting into jiujitsu for a while and I’ve been watching your videos. Just moved to Huntsville but I’d love to learn from you.
Started last month at 10p greenville sc. Just go 3x a week starting tomorrow, 1. find some chill upper belts to roll with 2. tap early 3. Keep showing up
Hey Brandon, what's the advantage of wrapping your left arm around your knee rather than putting it in front of your shin then closing your elbows together. Thanks! Love your stuff.
hey og could u possibly explain the difference between the gogoplata u showed and the nick diaz pride days gogoplata or the shinya aoki mounted gogoplata please 🙏🏼 thank you
Another great video sir. I’m a judo black belt who’s had spine surgery , so my days of flying through the air are over. It’s all about newaza and striking now. Did some rubber guard training outside of my city a few years ago and want to get back into it. 10th Planet Jujitsu always fascinates me. Can’t get enough of the videos. Keep posting sir. Mad respect. 🙌🏾😎 🥋
Hey Brandon I'm curious how important the position if your shin is to finish the gogo clinch? I feel like mine lands on my partners chin as it comes over and prevents me from finishing efficiently even if i close my elbow.
The other day during class I was working technique with a partner and he resisted a little and I resisted back and he pinched my skin on my thigh between his index finger and thumb pretty hard and laughed. Thats a d bag move right?
I wasn’t very flexible when I started. Took me about 6 months to get my butterfly stretch to go knees to the ground. Then just maintaining and working on it consistently. It doesn’t take as long as you might think.
“That shouldn’t cost me any energy to do” as a BJJ student, I understand, but as an engineering student who knows some physics, it sounds like a ridiculous, fantasy land kinda statement😂

Yeah that last gogoplata is so brutal
At 4:00 ish the "Here's his throat" and "Here's his throat" dang man...looks nasty. Beautiful visual on what's going on.
Wait until you try it!

Caesar says: "I came, I saw, I got Gogo-plata-ed"
veni vidi gogo
Brandon Mccaghren Well, well! The teacher knows some Latin!
You know, I think that Caesar guy has a lot of “Gaul” to talk like that!

Hey hey.
It’s way tighter and much lower chance of him escaping the trapped arm

Thank you for all your videos. Perfect
🙏🙏🥰
amazing video, thanks!
Great stuff!
What's the name of the submission variation Brandon shows at 4:27 ?
it's just a way deeper gogo clinch. deep enough for rnc style grip
I dig it
That "throat" explanation is gold
VERY VERY DANGEROUS GUY
🙏🏼🙏🏼💕

Definitely important. Need shin on neck to cut the blood on that side

if someone intentionally pinches me, i'll feel the need to give them some strong encouragement to avoid that in the future. strong.
@@brandonmcninja Thanks for the feed back. I should have said something but I said something more sarcastically but thanks for the validation.
I have minimum 1 year of stretching before I can do that
