It’s because Staios waited too long. He is a coach with under 500 win. It doesn’t seem to be best in class. It seems to be the cheap like the last ownership. Where is the Pinto contract? Stays takes too long to make decisions and people will move on. I’m sure if they had offered Burbe the job when they fired DJ he would have taking it. But they waited too long so now he is saying f you. They talk about best in class and transparency but it seems anything but.
Wrong. It's obvious Berube, and all the top coaches, do not want to coach a bottom-of-the-league team. Can you blame them?
I'll definitely give him a chance before I solidify my opinion, but initial reaction - it looks like a weak move by management. With other way more experienced & successful coaches still available, this move made me scratch my head.
I'm hoping for the best, but expecting mediocrity.
