At least, she won two prizes which was better than winning no prizes. It was certainly much more than what she walked with. I wish Dian Parkinson a very Happy 80th birthday.🥳🎂🎉🎊
Phyllis's hair style is more in keeping with the early 1990's. I was suprised to see the episode was from 1983. Her style was ahead of its time. A lot of women in 1983 had permed "big hair", Dorothy Hamill "bobs", or a sort of punk rock MTV look.
Bob is the all time best. But he is a little impatient and a tiny bit rude or direct but he does it in a way that makes him seem like a nice guy. I bet off the camera he is a little bit more rude and direct. But I like the job he does on the show.
I loved how karma was served right Jillian bid $1 dollar higher than Phyllis thinking she’d win but plot twist Phyllis got the last laugh and won $100 plus two prizes on the golden road
Even for the mid-1980s, a $14,000 car was a pretty cheap prize to have at the end of the Golden Road game. Usually saw a Cadillac priced in the mid-to-high $20,000 range.
This is the first show in which Bob mentioned the big prize at the end of the Golden Road was worth more than a certain amount rather than saying it was at least $10,000/five numbers in the price. And what was with that opening? Sounds like there was a fade in edit or something when Bob was about to come through Door #2 to Janice handing Bob the mic...

Holly was a cutie.
Did they edit the walk out of Bob Barker to prevent the TV audience at home from immediately seeing The Golden Road would be the first pricing game?
Most likely but that edit was something this channel did to the video.
I noticed that, too. It was a big shock to me.

There’s NO F-ING WAY THAT FAN COST THAT MUCH!!!!!! Even THREE DECADES LATER they don’t cost that much!!!
Remember, that was in California, and out there, everything costs more.
@ I used to call the show “The Price is Exaggerated”!
Definitely not one of the cheaper ones, though. Brass and walnut with crystal

Stare at Bob's blazer and vest long enough and you'll go blind. 😅
Barker in a 3 piece
One thing about plaid, it never goes out of style.
They put that 9 in upside down.
Did anyone catch the Family Feud theme music played when they showed the car? Wonder why they did that?

That's definitely not an original edit. The channel did that.
Good question about Bob's entrance edit. Wonder what would be the reason to do so.
I wish I could find an original airing of this one.
Originally , the fly of Mr.Barker was unzipped & it revealed he wasn't wearing underwear !
Of course, the little troll can't help himself. Continue ignoring him
