Sir very simple and practical presentation for beginners
We can use an ADX with MACD for confirmation. It works most of the time to confirm direction.

very helpful, i struggled for months mastering the adx

Need one help though, the biggest problem for me is to identify if the market will trend or will move sideways, as trending and balancing markets need opposite strategies. I have tried ADX in my trending strategy and it has improved the winning ratio. Is there any way by which we can predict the probability of a trend or balance beforehand?

Hi Prateek, hope you are doing well. Yeah I have seen in the LearnApp HQ where whole team is working very hard to make things simple and straight forward. Most of the indicators doesn't help in intraday like 5 min or hourly time-frame, where pure price action along with support/resistance helps a lot. Please work on a default template where a beginner can follow, test and apply price action using indicators on higher time frame, like a template on daily time frame with 3-4 indicators which can depict trend, volume, volatility and momentum under single chart for study purpose.

sir, if you see NASDAQ 2019-2020, ADX is dropping but NASDAQ is increasing?. pls comment. check 7:20. Even ADX is decreasing, the price is also increasing. so, confused . PLEASE CLARIFY.
Thanks Prateek, ADX calculates strength and momentum on high time frames and liquidity. What about intraday and scalping ? How to calculate strength in very short time frames?
Adx can be used while we are trading a particular strategy that follows the trend. The ones who follow, will have the least possible losses booked as SL
Hi, I started watching ur videos (old) about Flag & Pole pattern. This video is also good. Somthing new indicator learned today morning. But needs little bit more explanation about the difference between RSI & ADX. If u see in Day to day basis, most of the traders uses RSI than ADX.
RSI = Leading Indicator
ADX = Lagging Indicator

When a ADX is below 20 so it is means market is sideways & above it is momentum there in price direction but what if it is touching 50 so price is reversing?

Not used it before. Concept close to VIX.. I would ignore this one and rely on price action.. As for indicator, will stick to RSI.. Good edu anyways..

It is already a lagging indicator. Wat if it gives confirmation and the stock has already given a run up and is planning to move down.

Yes this is a trap a lot of traders get stuck in and thus your trading system should be a mix of price action and indicators so that you also know if the trend is already slowing down when the indicator has given confirmation

This is dependant on 14 day average so you can tweak the day average according to you to make it a longer term trend identifier too
