I've been thinking this why ATEEZ stays long in Thailand after their KPOP MASTERZ 2 joint concert cause it's sus. Now the prologue explain.That abandoned mall and the last scene of Seonghwa was shot in Thailand.
My theory is that Halateez has gotten caught (yeosang chained up, etc.) and is symbolized through the scarecrow with the hala hat/fit on looking pinned to the stick (trapped). The “new Eight” / normal ATEEZ, appears to save the world in place of the caught Halateez 😅 I don’t know it’s all confusing!! I also know the Blue bird has some history in Korea that has to do with government uprise/rebellion and is a symbol of happiness and hope during times of war- excited to see what’s to come!!! My theory is Universe A (Ateez) is the new 8 coming to take up the mantle for the missing Universe Z (Halateez). This is supposed to be from the POV of an anonymous witness (us??) observing the transition taking place. I believe the dining room from answer is where Ateez agreed to take over for Halateez in case they couldn't keep going with their mission and that's why it's being referenced. I also think Yeosang (the one struggling the most with keeping his freedom) is the bait. He was in the box in Say My Name, he's the symbol of peace in The Real, it's his droids looking for Ateez in Deja Vu and it was him that flipped the chromer and broke it so he could save the members, etc... and how we see him in chains in this. Hongjoong said none of the members in the story are keeping secrets but I'm still curious about Wooyoung. He was the last one standing in Hala Hala, the one in chains in Wonderland, he knocked out San in Deja Vu...
Yeah, Yeosang character is just that character that causes problem in film. He always taking the members a step back which I think is good because they may be working into a trap. Wooyoung is keeping a secret. A RUclips theory says that Wooyoung might be against Ateez in treasure but I have different theory. Wooyoung doesn't want to be in Strickland or treasure series. He want to move on with his life since he has grown from his fears. He is the only one who doesn't have anything holding him back in the diary film. He fighting himself on whether to stay with his friends or go his own way. This is why he flies in turbulence, he has no obstacle to tackle, he is free.
So what I have read is that this spin-off series would be after fever era and before treasure so in that sense halateez must be somewhere hiding and will come out

The story so far hasn't revealed any clear adversaries/villains, other than the white guardians and they're masked... As it was said in the beginning, this is a SPIN Off, a story part of the story, but outside the main story... So is this the story of and introduction to the lore's villains? 🤔 Remember the three mirrors JunHo faces in Answer? Why three? Also, Yeosang picks up a piece of broken mirror, in Answer as well and there's the room that San is in, in Say my name, with a full mirror and several broken on the floor. Those mirrors... Facing one self... Your darker/evil self...? Also, about the witness, I lean on the theory, that its the kid dissapearing in the end. Someone who witnesses "villain ATEEZ"...
