It's mostly just inconsistency in prep. The whitish tissue inside the pepper contains a bulk of the capsaicin so depending on how much is removed during prep the heat can vary greatly
I remeber i was once at this Vietnam food place where there was a small slice of jalapeno in the bowl they served the food in, it looked fairly normal untilI ate it and my mouth felt like was on fire and i had to put ice cubes in my mouth so that the spice was at least bearable, but even then I could still taste the spice in certain parts of my mouth even when the ice was burning my mouth with how cold it was. This went on for about 5 - 8 minutes until the spice calmed down to a bearable ammount and i could get the ice cubes out of my mouth.

I have a bottle of the end hot sauce, and for reference I absolutely love spicy food. The end sauce is rated 6 million Scoville and it's insanely hot. It's so much hotter than I even imagined possible. It's literally like seeing a new color. That stuff is incomprehensibly spicy and props to every single one of you for handling it as well as you did.
Just to let anyone know who is interested, the seeds are not technically the hot part of the peeper. The hot part is what the seeds grow off of, known as the placenta or pith.
I love how hard Charlie tries to stay strong, he has gotten so much tougher, also when everyone freaked out and Matt and Charlie just stared at eachother like “dang that’s hot”

I was very surprised to see The End: Flatline on the lineup! It's made locally where I'm from and it was pretty cool to see it elsewhere, what a crazy hot sauce it is though! Made this mistake before
a lot of peppers can be like that. I've had habaneros before that didn't hurt at all and some that got me feeling sick from all the milk.

I work there so I know all those sauces
